Abstract:In this paper, in the line of Aytar\cite{Ay2} and Çolak \cite{Co}, we introduce the notion of rough statistical convergence of order $\alpha$ in normed linear spaces and study some properties of the set of all rough statistical limit points of order $\alpha$.

Abstract:In this paper, using the concept of natural density, we have introduced the notion of rough statistical convergence which is an extension of the notion of rough convergence in a partial metric space. We have defined the set of rough statistical limit points of a sequence in a partial metric space and proved that this set is closed and bounded. Finally, we have found out the relationship between the set of statistical cluster points and the set of rough statistical limit points of sequences in a partial metric space.

Abstract:This study?s main goal is to define approximate statistical convergence in spaces with probabilistic norms. The idea of convergence in random 2-normed space is more generalized as a result of our demonstrations of some fundamental features and examples of convergence in linear spaces with norms. More specifically, we demonstrate the findings for sets of statistical limit points and sets of cluster points of approximate statistically convergent sequences in these spaces. Additionally, we extend the idea of rough convergence by applying the idea of ideals, which automatically expands the original ideas of rough statistical convergence and rough convergence. We define the collection of rough ideal limit points and demonstrate a number of outcomes related to this collection.

Abstract:In the present paper, we set forth with the new notion of rough -deferred statistical convergence of order in gradual normed linear spaces (GNLS). We prove some fundamental features and implication relations of this convergence method. Also, we put forward the notion of gradual rough -deferred statistical limit set of order and prove some of its properties such as closedness and convexity. We prove that the gradual rough -deferred statistical limit set also plays a crucial role in the gradually -deferred statistical boundedness of order of a sequence in a GNLS. We end up proving a necessary and sufficient condition for the rough -deferred statistical convergence of order of a sequence in GNLS. Significance of the work in a broad context: Summability theory and convergence of sequences have many applications in mathematical analysis. The study of the convergence of sequences in GNLS has made little progress and is still in its early stages. In this paper, we introduce rough deferred statistical convergence of sequences in GNLS which provides a new direction to the researchers.

Abstract:Mlaiki et al.\cite{MLA} introduced the idea of controlled metric type spaces, which is a new extension of $b$-metric spaces with addition of a controlled function $\alpha(x,y)$ of the right-hand side of the $b$-triangle inequality. Phu \cite{PHU} introduced the idea of rough convergence of sequences in a normed linear space. In this paper we have brought the idea of rough convergence of sequences in a controlled metric type space. We have proved several results associated with rough limit sets and some relevant results associated with such convergence.

The paper also discusses the inevitable limit set of the novel convergence along with the proof of it being convex and closed with regard to the L -fuzzy norm. Abstract:Statistical convergence was introduced in connection with problems of series summation. The main idea of the statistical convergence of a sequence l is that the majority of elements from l converge and we do not care what is going on with other elements. We show (Section 2) that being mathematically formalized the concept of statistical convergence is directly connected to convergence of such statistical characteristics as the mean and standard deviation. At the same time, it known that sequences that come from real life sources, such as measurement and computation, do not allow, in a general case, to test whether they converge or statistically converge in the strict mathematical sense. To overcome limitations induced by vagueness and uncertainty of real life data, neoclassical analysis has been developed. It extends the scope and results of the classical mathematical analysis by applying fuzzy logic to conventional mathematical objects, such as functions, sequences, and series. The goal of this work is the further development of neoclassical analysis. This allows us to reflect and model vagueness and uncertainty of our knowledge, which results from imprecision of measurement and inaccuracy of computation. In the context on the theory of fuzzy limits, we develop the structure of statistical fuzzy convergence and study its properties.

Abstract:In this note, we improve the convergence rates of spectral distributions that large-dimensional sample covariance matrices of size p×n tend to the Marenko-Pastur distribution, under the assumption that the entries have a finite eighth moment. Especially, we show that the expected spectral distributions of large-dimensional sample covariance matrices of size p×n tends to the limiting distribution with the dimension sample size ratio y=y_n=p/n at the rate of O(n~ -1/6 ) if y is close to 1 . Similar results for both the convergence in probability and the almost sure convergence are shown to be O_p(n~ -1/6 ) and O_ a.s. (n~ -1/6 ), under the condition that y is close to 1.

Abstract:Statistical limits are defined relaxing conditions on conventional convergence. The main idea of the statistical convergence of a sequence l is that the majority of elements from l converge and we do not care what is going on with other elements. At the same time, it is known that sequences that come from real life sources, such as measurement and computation, do not allow, in a general case, to test whether they converge or statistically converge in the strict mathematical sense. To overcome these limitations, fuzzy convergence was introduced earlier in the context of neoclassical analysis and fuzzy statistical convergence is introduced and studied in this paper. We find relations between fuzzy statistical convergence of a sequence and fuzzy statistical convergence of its subsequences (Theorem 2.1), as well as between fuzzy statistical convergence of a sequence and conventional convergence of its subsequences (Theorem 2.2). It is demonstrated what operations with fuzzy statistical limits are induced by operations on sequences (Theorem 2.3) and how fuzzy statistical limits of different sequences influence one another (Theorem 2.4). In Section 3, relations between fuzzy statistical convergence and fuzzy convergence of statistical characteristics, such as the mean (average) and standard deviation, are studied (Theorems 3.1 and 3.2).

Vague convergence and method of moments for random metric measure spaces

Abstract:In this note we consider a notion of vague convergence for measures on metric measure spaces equipped with the Gromov-weak topology. This notion arises naturally from an extension of the method of moments for random metric spaces, which only requires the convergence of moments of order $k \ge 1$. In addition to deriving this method of moments, we prove several useful results about vague convergence (continuous mapping theorem, approximation theorem). We conclude the note with an application to the genealogies of branching processes. We show how one can obtain a weak estimate on the survival probability as well as convergence in distribution of the population size and of the coalescent out of moments computation.

Abstract:Let $(X,\mu)$ be an arbitrary measure space equipped with a family of pairwise commuting measure preserving transformations $T_1, \dotsc, T_m$. We prove that the ergodic averages \[ A_{N;X}^{P_1, \dotsc, P_m}f = \frac{1}{N} \sum_{n=1}^N T_1^{\lfloor P_1(n) \rfloor} \dotsm T_m^{\lfloor P_m(n) \rfloor} f \] converge pointwise $\mu$-almost everywhere as $N \to \infty$ for any $f \in L^p(X)$ with $p>1$, where $P_1, \dotsc, P_m$ are Hardy field functions which are "non-polynomial" and have distinct growth rates. To establish pointwise convergence we will prove a long-variational inequality, which will in turn prove that a maximal inequality holds for our averages. Additionally, by restricting the class of Hardy field functions to those with the same growth rate as $t^c$ for $c>0$ non-integer, we also prove full variational estimates. We are therefore able to provide quantitative bounds on the rate of convergence of exponential sums of the form \[ \frac{1}{N} \sum_{n=1}^N e(\xi_1 \lfloor n^{c_1} \rfloor + \dotsb + \lfloor n^{c_m} \rfloor) \] where $0<c_1<\dotsb<c_m$ are non-integer.

Abstract:It is well-known that Markov inequality, Chebyshev inequality, Hölder's inequality, and Minkowski inequality are important and useful results in probability theory. This paper presents the analogous inequalities in fuzzy set theory and rough set theory. In addition, sequence convergence plays an extremely important role in the fundamental theory of mathematics. This paper presents four types of convergence concept of fuzzy/rough sequence: convergence almost surely, convergence in credibility/trust, convergence in mean, and convergence in distribution. Some mathematical properties of those new convergence concepts are also given.
