Abstract:Oral mucosa in contact with removable prostheses can often develop various lesions. In this rare case, a 67-year-old male presented with an oronasal communication resulting from chronic trauma caused by the palatal bar of his partial removable prosthesis. Although he reported no pain, he complained of discomfort when drinking beverages as he could feel them in his nose. Upon intraoral examination, an 8-millimeter perforation was observed in the central palatal area. A Cone-Beam tomography revealed an oronasal communication on the right side without rupture in the area of the anterior nasal spine, along with the presence of hyperdensity in the nasal fossa, suggestive of a rhinolith.
