Abstract:Surgical resection of both benign and malignant neoplasms can lead to significant tissue loss, which can have adverse effects on the stomatognathic tract. One example of this is the development of oroantral communication, often due to the extensive removal of palatal tissue. This condition can result in challenges related to swallowing, breathing, and speech. To help patients with oroantral communication regain these essential functions, dentists can provide palate obturator prostheses. This case study aims to report on three cases of prosthetic rehabilitation in patients who developed oroantral communication due to antineoplastic treatment.
