Abstract:Allergic Contact Stomatitis (ACS) is an immunoinflammatory disorder caused by an antigen-specific T cell-mediated hypersensitivity immune reaction to an exogenous allergen or allergens that are in contact with oral mucosa. An 80-year-old woman presented a recent 1-month history of a painful ulcerated and depapilated tongue, VAS 6. Physical and radiological examination were unremarkable. Intraoral examination reveals a full toothless mouth with the use of upper dental prosthesis and lower implant-supported bar without lower dental prosthesis, and the presence of many like-herpetiform ulcers in the tongue and internal surface of the lower lip.
