Abstract:In this paper, we study the structures of Schur algebra and Lusztig algebra associated to partial flag varieties of affine type D. We show that there is a subalgebra of Lusztig algebra and the quantum groups arising from this subalgebras via stabilization procedures is a coideal subalgebra of quantum group of affine $\mathfrak{sl}$ type. We construct monomial and canonical bases of the idempotented quantum algebra and establish the positivity properties of the canonical basis with respect to multiplication and the bilinear pairing.

Abstract:We will exhibit a group of symmetries of the simply-laced quantum connections, generalising the quantum/Howe duality relating KZ and the Casimir connection. These symmetries arise as a quantisation of the classical symmetries of the simply-laced isomonodromy systems, which in turn generalise the Harnad duality. The quantisation of the classical symmetries involves constructing the quantum Hamiltonian reduction of the representation variety of any simply-laced quiver, both in filtered and in deformation quantisation.

Abstract:The present paper continues the work of [2]. For any symmetrizable generalized Cartan Matrix $C$ and the corresponding quantum group $\mathbf{U}$, we consider the associated quiver $Q$ with an admissible automorphism $a$. We construct the category $\widetilde{\mathcal{Q}/\mathcal{N}}$ of the localization of Lusztig sheaves for the quiver with the automorphism. Its Grothendieck group gives a realization of the integrable highest weight $\mathbf{U}-$module $\Lambda_{\lambda}$, and modulo the traceless ones Lusztig sheaves provide the (signed) canonical basis of $\Lambda_{\lambda}$. As an application, the symmetrizable crystal structures on Nakajima's quiver varieties and Lusztig's nilpotent varieties of preprojective algebras are deduced.

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a complex semisimple Lie algebra and let $\mathbf{U}_q(\mathfrak{g})$ denote the associated Drinfel'd Jimbo quantized enveloping algebra. In this paper we study spherical functions of $\mathbf{U}_q(\mathfrak{g})$ related to characters. We show invariance under the Wang-Zhang braid group operators and show relative Weyl group invariance, when restricted to the quantum torus.

Abstract:In this paper, we give a geometrization of semicanonical bases of quantum groups via Grothendieck groups of the derived categories of Lusztig's nilpotent varieties. Meanwhile, we describe the dual semicanonical bases in terms of Serre polynomials of Grassmannians of modules over preprojective algebras.

Abstract:Let $mathbf G$ be a complex orthogonal or complex symplectic group, and let $G$ be a real form of $mathbf G$, namely $G$ is a real orthogonal group, a real symplectic group, a quaternionic orthogonal group, or a quaternionic symplectic group. For a fixed parity $mathbb pin mathbb Z/2mathbb Z$, we define a set $mathrm{Nil}^{mathbb p}_{mathbf G}(mathfrak g)$ of nilpotent $mathbf G$-orbits $mathfrak g$ (the Lie algebra of $mathbf G$). When $mathbb p$ is the parity of the dimension of the standard module of $mathbf G$, this is the set of the stably trivial special nilpotent orbits, which includes all rigid special nilpotent orbits. For each $mathcal O in mathrm{Nil}^{mathbb p}_{mathbf G}(mathfrak g)$, we construct all unipotent representations of $G$ (or its metaplectic cover when $G$ is a real symplectic group and $mathbb p$ is odd) attached to $mathcal O$ via the method of theta lifting and show particular that they are unitary.
(SPT-)LSM theorems from projective non-invertible symmetries

Abstract:Projective symmetries are ubiquitous in quantum lattice models and can be leveraged to constrain their phase diagram and entanglement structure. In this paper, we investigate the consequences of projective algebras formed by non-invertible symmetries and lattice translations in a generalized $1+1$D quantum XY model based on group-valued qudits. This model is specified by a finite group $G$ and enjoys a projective $\mathsf{Rep}(G)\times Z(G)$ and translation symmetry, where symmetry operators obey a projective algebra in the presence of symmetry defects. For invertible symmetries, such projective algebras imply Lieb-Schultz-Mattis (LSM) anomalies. However, this is not generally true for non-invertible symmetries, and we derive a condition on $G$ for the existence of an LSM anomaly. When this condition is not met, we prove an SPT-LSM theorem: any unique and gapped ground state is necessarily a non-invertible weak symmetry protected topological (SPT) state with non-trivial entanglement, for which we construct an example fixed-point Hamiltonian. The projectivity also affects the dual symmetries after gauging $\mathsf{Rep}(G)\times Z(G)$ sub-symmetries, giving rise to non-Abelian and non-invertible dipole symmetries, as well as non-invertible translations. We complement our analysis with the SymTFT, where the projectivity causes it to be a topological order non-trivially enriched by translations. Throughout the paper, we develop techniques for gauging $\mathsf{Rep}(G)$ symmetry and inserting its symmetry defects on the lattice, which are applicable to other non-invertible symmetries.

Abstract:A geometric construction of quantum Schur algebras was given by Beilinson, Lusztig and MacPherson in terms of pairs of flags in a vector space. By viewing such pairs of flags as representations of a poset, we give a recursive formula for the structure constants of quantum Schur algebras which is related to certain Hall polynomials. As an application, we provide a direct proof of the fundamental multiplication formulas which play a key role in the Beilinson–Lusztig–MacPherson realization of quantum gln. In the appendix we show how to groupoidify quantum Schur algebras in the sense of Baez, Hoffnung and Walker.

Abstract:We categorify the highest weight integrable representations and their tensor products of a symmetric quantum Kac-Moody algebra. As byproducts, we obtain a geometric realization of Lusztig's canonical bases of these representations as well as a new positivity result. The main ingredient in the underlying geometric construction is a class of micro-local perverse sheaves on quiver varieties.

Abstract:We show that the Koszul functor of a homologically smooth graded gentle algebra can be realized as the half rotation in a geometric model. As a byproduct, we prove an intersection-dim formula involving the Koszul functor.

A geometric realization of the asymptotic affine Hecke algebra

Abstract:A key tool for the study of an affine Hecke algebra $\mathcal{H}$ is provided by Springer theory of the Langlands dual group via the realization of $\mathcal{H}$ as equivariant $K$-theory of the Steinberg variety. We prove a similar geometric description for Lusztig's asymptotic affine Hecke algebra $J$ identifying it with the sum of equivariant $K$-groups of the squares of ${\mathbb C}^*$-fixed points in the Springer fibers, as conjectured by Qiu and Xi (the same result was also obtained by Oron Popp using different methods). As an application, we give a new geometric proof of Lusztig's parametrization of irreducible representations of $J$. We also reprove Braverman-Kazhdan's spectral description of $J$. As another application, we prove a description of the cocenters of $\mathcal{H}$ and $J$ conjectured by the first author with Braverman, Kazhdan and Varshavsky. The proof is based on a new algebraic description of $J$, which may be of independent interest.

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak g$ be a complex simple Lie algebra and let $U_{\zeta}({\mathfrak g})$ be the corresponding Lusztig ${\mathbb Z}[q,q^{-1}]$-form of the quantized enveloping algebra specialized to an $\ell$th root of unity. Moreover, let $\mod(U_{\zeta}({\mathfrak g}))$ be the braided monoidal category of finite-dimensional modules for $U_{\zeta}({\mathfrak g})$. In this paper we classify the thick tensor ideals of $\mod(U_{\zeta}({\mathfrak g}))$ and compute the prime spectrum of the stable module category associated to $\text{mod}(U_{\zeta}({\mathfrak g}))$ as defined by Balmer.

Abstract:We reconstruct a quantum group associated with any Lie algebra together with its representation theory from twisted homologies of generalized configuration spaces of disks. Along the way it brings new combinatorics to the theory, but our diagrams represent true submanifolds of configuration spaces and combinatorial relations between them translate actual twisted homological relations.

Symmetries of quantization of finite groupoids

Abstract:This paper proves certain facts concerning the equivariance of quantization of pi-finite spaces. We argue that these facts establish an analogy between this quantization procedure and the geometric quantization of a symplectic vector space. Specifically, we observe that symmetries of a given polarization/Lagrangian always induce coherent symmetries of the quantization. On the other hand, symmetries of the entire phase space a priori only induce projective symmetries. For certain three-dimensional theories, this projectivity appears via a twice-categorified analogue of Blattner-Kostant-Sternberg kernels in geometric quantization and the associated integral transforms.

Non-perturbative Symmetries of Little Strings and Affine Quiver Algebras

Abstract:We consider Little String Theories (LSTs) that are engineered by $N$ parallel M5-branes probing a transverse $\mathbb{Z}_M$ geometry. By exploiting a dual description in terms of F-theory compactified on a toric Calabi-Yau threefold $X_{N,M}$, we establish numerous symmetries that leave the BPS partition function $\mathcal{Z}_{N,M}$ invariant. They furthemore act in a non-perturbative fashion from the point of view of the low energy quiver gauge theory associated with the LST. We present different group theoretical organisations of these symmetries, thereby generalising the results of [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1811.03387" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1811.03387">arXiv:1811.03387</a>] to the case of generic $M \geq 1$. We also provide a Mathematica package that allows to represent them in terms of matrices that act linearly on the Kähler parameters of $X_{N,M}$. From the perspective of dual realisations of the LSTs the symmetries found here act in highly nontrivial ways: as an example, we consider a formulation of $\mathcal{Z}_{N,M}$ in terms of correlation functions of a vertex operator algebra, whose commutation relations are governed by an affine quiver algebra. We show the impact of the symmetry transformations on the latter and discuss invariance of $\mathcal{Z}_{N,M}$ from this perspective for concrete examples.

Lusztig's Jordan decomposition and a finite field instance of relative Langlands duality

Abstract:Lusztig \cite{L5,L6} gave a parametrization for $\rm{Irr}(G^F)$, where $G$ is a reductive algebraic group defined over $\mathbb{F}_q$, with Frobenius map $F$. This parametrization is known as Lusztig's Jordan decomposition or Lusztig correspondence. However, there is not a canonical choice of Lusztig correspondence. In this paper, we consider classical groups. We pick a canonical choice of Lusztig correspondence which is compatible with parabolic induction and is compatible with theta correspondence. This result extends Pan's result in \cite{P3}. As an application, we give a refinement of the results of the finite Gan-Gross-Prasad problem in \cite{Wang1} and prove a duality between Theta correspondence and finite Gan-Gross-Prasad problem, which can be regarded as a finite field instance of relative Langlands duality of Ben-Zvi-Sakellaridis-Venkatesh \cite{BZSV}.

Abstract:Exploiting the affinity between stable generalized complex structures and symplectic structures, we explain how certain constructions coming from symplectic geometry can be performed in the generalized complex setting. We introduce generalized Luttinger surgery and generalized Gluck twist along $\mathcal{J}$-symplectic submanifolds. We also export branched coverings to the generalized complex setting. As an application, stable generalized complex structures are produced on a variety of high-dimensional manifolds. Remarkably, some of them have non-homotopy-equivalent path-connected components of their type change locus.

Abstract:In 2023 we obtained a $Q$-polynomial structure for the projective geometry $L_N(q)$. In the present paper, we display a more general $Q$-polynomial structure for $L_N(q)$. Our new $Q$-polynomial structure is defined using a free parameter $\varphi$ that takes any positive real value. For $\varphi=1$ we recover the original $Q$-polynomial structure. We interpret the new $Q$-polynomial structure using the quantum group $U_{q^{1/2}}(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ in the equitable presentation. We use the new $Q$-polynomial structure to obtain analogs of the four split decompositions that appear in the theory of $Q$-polynomial distance-regular graphs.
