Abstract:The authors consider the problem of conformally deforming a metric such that the k-curvature defined by an elementary symmetric function of the eigenvalues of the Bakry-Emery Ricci tensor on a compact manifold with boundary to a prescribed function. A consequence of our main result is that there exists a complete metric such that the Monge-Ampère type equation with respect to its Bakry-Emery Ricci tensor is solvable, provided that the initial Bakry-Emery Ricci tensor belongs to a negative convex cone.

Abstract:We prove several formulas related to Hodge theory and the Kodaira–Spencer–Kuranishi deformation theory of Kähler manifolds. As applications, we present a construction of globally convergent power series of integrable Beltrami differentials on Calabi–Yau manifolds and also a construction of global canonical family of holomorphic (n,0) -forms on the deformation spaces of Calabi–Yau manifolds. Similar constructions are also applied to the deformation spaces of compact Kähler manifolds.

Abstract:The conformai properties of complex Finsler metrics are studied. We first give a characterization of a compact complex Finsler manifold to be globally conformai Kahler. By considering the total holomorphic curvature and total Ricci curvature in the volume preserved conformal classes, we then study the variational properties of Kahler Finsler metrics. By studying the spectral properties of two average metrics, the stabilities of critical Kähler Finsler metrics are verified. Finally, a Yamabe type problem for mean holomorphic Ricci curvature is considered, and a partial existence result is obtained.

Abstract:In this paper we first study the moduli spaces related to Calabi-Yau manifolds. We then apply the results to the following problem. Let $C$ be a fixed Riemann surface with fixed finite number of points on it. Given a CY manifold with fixed topological type, we consider the set of all families of CY manifolds of the fixed topological type over $C$ with degenerate fibres over the fixed points up to isomorphism. This set is called Shafarevich set. The analogue of Shafarevich conjecture for CY manifolds is for which topological types of CY the Shafarevich set is finite. It is well-known that the analogue of Shafarevich conjecture is closely related to the study of the moduli space of polarized CY manifolds and the moduli space of the maps of fixed Riemann surface to the coarse moduli space of the CY manifolds. We prove the existence of the Teichmüller space of CY manifolds together with a universal family of marked CY manifolds. From this result we derive the existence of a finite cover of the coarse moduli space which is a non-singular quasi-projective manifold. Over this cover we construct a family of polarized CY manifolds. We study the moduli space of maps of the fixed Riemann with fixed points on it to the moduli space of CY manifolds constructed in the paper such that the maps map the fixed points on the Riemann surface to the discriminant locus. If this moduli space of maps is finite then Shafarevich conjecture holds. We relate the analogue of Shafarevich problem to the non-vanishing of the Yukawa coupling. We give also a counter example of the Shafarevich problem for a class of CY manifolds.
Deformations of cohesive modules on compact complex manifolds

Abstract:Cohesive modules give a dg-enhancement of the bounded derived category of coherent sheaves on a complex manifold via superconnections. In this paper we discuss the deformation theory of cohesive modules on compact complex manifolds. This generalizes the deformation theory of holomorphic vector bundles and coherent sheaves. We also develop the theory of Kuranishi maps and obstructions of deformations of cohesive modules and give some examples of unobstructed deformations.

Abstract:The compact complex manifolds considered in this article are principal torus bundles over a torus. We consider the Kodaira Spencer map of the complete Appell Humbert family (introduced by the first author in Part I) and are able to show that we obtain in this way a connected component of the space of complex structures each time that the base dimension is two, the fibre dimension is one, and a suitable topological condition is verified.

Abstract:We extend our family rigidity and vanishing theorems in [LiuMaZ] to the Spin c case.In particular, we prove a ^-theory version of the main results of [H], [Liul, Theorem B] for a family of almost complex manifolds.0. Introduction.Let M, B be two compact smooth manifolds, and TT : M -» B be a smooth fibration with compact fibre X.Let TX be the relative tangent bundle.Assume that a compact Lie group G acts fiberwise on M, that is, the action preserves each fiber of TT.Let P be a family of G-equivariant elliptic operators along the fiber X.Then the family index of P, Ind(P), is a well-defined element in K(B) (cf.[AS]) and is a virtual G-representation (cf.[LiuMal]).We denote by (Ind(P)) G £ K(B) the G-invariant part of Ind(P).A family of elliptic operator P is said to be rigid on the equivariant Chern character level with respect to this G-action, if the equivariant Chern character ch 5 (Ind(P)) G H*(B) is independent of g G G. Abstract:It is well-known that the deformation problem of a compact coisotropic submanifold $C$ in a symplectic manifold is obstructed in general. We show that it becomes unobstructed if one only allows coisotropic deformations whose characteristic foliation is diffeomorphic to that of $C$. This extends an unobstructedness result in the setting of integral coisotropic submanifolds due to Ruan.

Abstract:It is shown that the space of finite-to-finite holomorphic correspondences on an OT-manifold is discrete. When the OT-manifold has no proper infinite complex-analytic subsets, it then follows by known model-theoretic results that its cartesian powers have no interesting complex-analytic families of subvarieties. The methods of proof, which are similar to [Moosa, Moraru, and Toma ``An essentially saturated surface not of Kähler-type", {\em Bull. of the LMS}, 40(5):845--854, 2008], require studying finite unramified covers of OT-manifolds.

Abstract:To a complex symplectic manifold X we associate a canonical quantization algebroid. Our construction is similar to that of Polesello-Schapira's deformation-quantization algebroid, but the deformation parameter is no longer central. If X is compact, the triangulated category of regular holonomic quantization modules is a linear complex Calabi-Yau category of dimension 1 + dim X.

Abstract:Reformulations of Donaldson's "tamed to compatible" question are obtained in terms of spaces of exact forms on a compact almost complex manifold $(M^{2n},J)$. In dimension 4, we show that $J$ admits a compatible symplectic form if and only if $J$ admits tamed symplectic forms with arbitrarily given $J$-anti-invariant parts. Some observations about the cohomology of $J$-modified de Rham complexes are also made.

Abstract:Let X be a connected family of complex Fano manifolds. We show that if some fiber is the product of two manifolds of lower dimensions, then so is every fiber. Combining with previous work of Hwang and Mok, this implies immediately that if a fiber is (possibly reducible) Hermitian symmetric space of compact type, then all fibers are isomorphic to the same variety.

Abstract:We determine the maximal dimension of compact subvarieties of $\mathcal{A}_g$, the moduli space of complex principally polarized abelian varieties of dimension $g$, and the maximal dimension of a compact subvariety through a very general point of $\mathcal{A}_g$. This also allows us to draw some conclusions for compact subvarieties of the moduli space of complex curves of compact type.
