Abstract:In recent years, China and its military education departments have accelerated the adjustment of graduate education structure and the development of clinical professional education .Since the clinical professional education was launched in 1998 , Second Military Medical University has been training a large number of high -quality clinical doctors .However , there are still many underlying issues .By introducing the clinical teaching prac-tice conducted by the Department of Neurosurgery of Changhai Hospital , this paper aims to explore how to overcome the difficulties and problems in clinical professional postgraduate education and to promote the “medical education synergy” of clinical professional postgraduate education mode .

Abstract:To investigate the current situation about clinical internship and improve the internship process management, a questionnaire survey was carried out at the clinical teaching bases of the national colleges and universities, and investigated the basic information of clinical teaching bases, current situation of undergraduate clinical practice teaching, problems and difficulties existing in the clinical practice teaching, and policy-making suggestions to the training of clinical practice, etc. It was found that the trainees' entrance examination, clinical teachers' performance, doctor-patient relationship and hospital's acceptance of the training mission all have great impacts on the clinical training, so it is necessary to adjust the current system of clinical practice teaching as soon as possible, strengthen the competence-oriented education of undergraduates in schools, quality control and financial investment to clinical training of graduates in clinical practice.

Abstract:Objective To investigate and analyse the program objective and curriculum system of preventive medicine undergraduate major,and provide basis for the curriculum system reform. Methods Two hundred and twenty-five medical professionals or teachers in Shanghai were investigated with questionnaires,which were concerned with aspects of program objective,curriculum system,teaching contents and teaching methods of preventive medicine undergraduate major.Results 63.6% of participants believed that the current program objective of preventive medicine undergraduate major could meet the actual demand of public health undertakings,and 44.4% pointed out that 40% to 60% of knowledge learned from colleges could be utilized in work.83.6% of participants recommended to adopt an integrated design of experiment,91.5 % agreed to open more optional courses,55.1% proposed to go on a field trip to Center for Disease Control or Department of Health Supervision for at least 6 months,more than 60% suggested to offer courses such as community medicine,communication and behavioral science,91.6% advised to participate in the field investigations,and 87.6% and 67.1% offered to enrich the classes with case analysis and multimedia,respectively. Conclusion The program objective and curriculum system of preventive medicine undergraduate major should be regulated to fit the changes in medical modes and effectively solve the problems of public health.

Abstract:The effect of clinical practice directly affects the clinical ability and professional quality of graduates, lack of interest in practice, lack of doctor-patient communication skills and conflict with other clinical training doctors are common problems in current practice. This article through to the clinical medical undergraduate interns in practice there is lack of interest, in the process of doctor-patient communication skills and conflict with other clinical training for doctors and other issues were discussed, and through the reform of teaching methods, strengthen the teaching supervision and organize training of doctor-patient communication, in order to improve the clinical interns learning autonomy, strengthen the doctor-patient communication skills, to further improve the quality of medical personnel training to provide help.

Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical internship status quo of eight-year medical program students in gynecology and obstetrics department of Peking University Third Hospital,and to give further targeted suggestions.Methods Questionnaire survey was used in this study.The clinical internship status quo of 35 eight-year medical program students in gynecology and obstetrics department of Peking University Third Hospital were surveyed by self-compiled questionnaires,and the related data was analyzed.Results There were 57.1％ (20/35) of students believe that there were difficulties during the internship,and the major difficulties were complicated and trivial knowledge points,relatively short time to learn regulated content,too theoretical professional knowledge to understand and patients' refusal attitude to clinical training.There were 85.7％ (30/35) of the students were willing to preview,and 94.3％ (33/35) of them were willing to review,the textbooks or recommended reading materials were students' favorite forms of preview and review.Conclusions There are still some difficulties during the internship in gynecology and obstetrics department for eight-year clinical program students,and most of them have high acceptance of acquiring knowledge in extracurricular time.In the future,we can adopt more flexible internship modules,add online courses besides and appropriately adopt simulation tools.A sequential curriculum system should be established by reasonably utilizing the extracurricular time,in order to improve the overall outcome of clinical internship in gynecology and obstetrics department.

Abstract:For undergraduates,the practice of simple skills teaching has been unable to meet social needs and the development of the times.It can't answer the many puzzles interns have,nor can it guarantee the healthy development of interns.The main problems occurred during clinical practices and the causes been responsible for the problems are analyzed in the paper.The sensible ways to solve these problems are also recommended.We should focus on the characteristics of practice teaching of oral surgery and integrate practical skills education,medical ethics education and legal education into the teaching practice.We should focus on the training of the actual ability,communication skills,service awareness,and reception and treatment capabilities. We should pay attention to coordination between the interns and patients rights,correct attitude towards learning,mobilizing learning initiative.
Investigation and analysis of the curriculum of “medical disputes prevention” in medical students of higher institutions

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of the consciousness to prevent medial dispute and the communication between doctor-patient in medical interns after the curriculum of "medical disputes prevention" in medical schools and eliminate medical errors in clinical practice to put forward some advices on the reforming of curriculum of medical education.Methods 172 interns in our hospital from July,2010 to June,2011 were investigated on the medical tangle prevention knowledge about the prevention medical disputes with questionnaire.Results There was a significant difference concerning with the ability of dispute prevention knowledge and selfprotection awareness in interns before and after "medical disputes prevention" education(P0.01).conclusion The ability of handling medical disputes in uneducated medical students is lower than that of the educated students.Therefore,it is recommended that implementation of "medical disputes prevention" curriculum should conduct early in medical students from medical colleges to extend it as a regular education.

Abstract:There are still many obstacles in the localization and wide implementation of "legal clinic educa-tion" in our country, which originated in the United States, such as the shortage of funds, the weakness of teach-ing staff and the students' embarrassed identity while working, and imperfect evaluation mechanism, etc. In this article, through comparative analysis on the operation modes of legal clinics in China, the author argues that we should make efforts in the following aspects such as the curriculum , making the students' identity clear, the im-provement of teaching staff, and the perfecting of evaluation mechanism, etc. so as to form a law practice teaching mode with certain universality.

Abstract:Clinical internship is an essential part of medical education. To summarize the teaching experience of the previous five years and investigate the education methods of overseas students in department of emergency combined with the full English overseas students training mode in Capital Medical University. Emergency medicine is a clinical medicine with disease characteristics of emergency, severity, criticality and comprehensiveness, so clinical teaching is of vital importance and it exerts a direct effect on learning objectives. Implementing teachers select "access mechanism" and "teaching a secondary" way of teaching, overcome the language barrier makes the smooth progress of the teaching to ensure teachers continue to inject new blood; Stimulating students study enthusiasm, train emergency clinical thinking and clinical skills by applying teaching methods such as case based learning and problem based learning and using simulation teaching; Establish and improve the feedback mechanisms, discovering and solving problems, prompting teaching physicians the ability to further improve English teaching and teaching quality improvement. With the development of teaching mode of overseas student internship in emergency department, the mode still need to be enriched, improved and enhanced constantly.

Abstract:Modern medicine has a double characteristic of technique and humanity rather than a simple relationship between doctors and patients.New techniques,new materials and new therapeutic methods can be simply utilized by means of physical channel of urinal system.But the social and cultural issues caused by these utilizations,especially legal issues,are predominant and inevitable.Excessive legal proceedings have added to urologists' mental burden.In order to avoid the unnecessary actions at law,urologists are expected to have superb medical skill and enhance their legal consciousness so as to protect in conformity with legal provisions the lawful rights and interests of patients and their own.

Abstract:Objective: The effective education method of medico-jurisprudence for medical students is unclear. The study was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of problem-based learning (PBL) model teaching medico-jurisprudence in clinical setting on General Law Knowledge (GLK) for medical students. Materials and methods: Senior medical students attending either campus-based law curriculum or Obstetrics/Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) clinical setting morning meeting from February to July in 2015 were enrolled. A validated questionnaire comprising 45 questions were completed before and after the law education. Results: The interns attending clinical setting small group improvisation medico-jurisprudence problem-based learning education had significantly better GLK scores than the GLK of students attending campus-based medical law education course after the period studied. Conclusion: PBL teaching model of medico-jurisprudence is an ideal alternative pedagogy model in medical law education curriculum.

Abstract:Objective: To understand the internship of students majoring in preventive medicine in 6 colleges and universities in China, and provide reference suggestions for the improvement of internship arrangement. Methods: By using the method of combined clustering and convenient sampling, the fifth grades students majoring in preventive medicine in six universities in the eastern, central and western China were surveyed by using questionnaires to collect the information of their attitudes (to) and suggestions for clinical and public health internships. Results: A total of 596 students were surveyed. In terms of the benefits of clinical internship and public health internship, students who thought that the internship was fruitful accounted for >88%, and more students thought that reform is needed in clinical internship compared with public health internship. In clinical internship, the students through that the time arrangement was not appropriate enough (95, 39.58%), the content should be more detailed and in-depth (73, 30.42%) and the content did not conform to the professional direction (54, 22.50%). In public health internship, the students thought that the time arrangement was not appropriate (77, 45.56%), the content should be more detailed and standardized (65, 38.46%) and the types of internship bases should be more diversified (20, 11.83%). Conclusions: The undergraduates majoring in preventive medicine felt to be benefited from clinical practice and public health internships and thought they are of necessity. At the same time, there are still many problems which needs to be improved in the two types of internships. It is necessary to make joint efforts from students, teachers, colleges and practice bases to promote the continuous improvement of undergraduate internship.
Reflections on a New Model of Receiving Oversea Exchange Students for Short-Term Clinical Clerkship in China

Abstract:Objective To introduce the new model and management experience of receiving overseas exchange students for short-term clinical clerkship, evaluate the effect of this clerkship on students’ personal growth and career development, find out the existing problems in this program and put forward improving approaches. Methods The data is collected through examination of work-related documents, questionnaires and interviews; the data is then analyzed by using Nvivo10 and SPSS18 software. Results PUHSC adopted the supervision and students volunteer assistance system for receiving overseas exchange students to do clinical clerkships, which solves the problem of language barrier, study guidance, daily life challenge etc quite well. The visiting students are general happy with the program, and think it plays a positive role in areas such as developing their global view and guiding students’ personal growth etc. However, there are still some problems in the program management. Conclusions Receiving oversea exchange students for short-term clinical clerkship in China is an important part of the internationalization of medical education. It is worthy to exam the program, and take effective measures to address the existing issues in order to keep the sustainable development of this program. The improving measures may include: setting up a database of exchange students, long-term funding support, establishing strict applying procedure and management system, providing effective support etc.

Abstract:Objective To understand the experience of nursing students' ethical dilemmas during clinical practice. Method Qualitative descriptive research was adopted.The data of 13 nursing students were collected through deep interviews,and the phenomeno-logical analysis method was used. Result Applying reading-analysis-reflection-separation and theme refining methods,four themes were drawn:(1)Ethical conflicts: Operation standard;(2)Ethical conflicts: Lack of ability;(3)Ethical conflicts: Value differences.The first theme was showed as two aspects: Patient demand and standard operation,Practical clinical work and normative behavior;The third theme was showed as two aspects: Protective medical and patient's right of informed consent,The ethics of euthanasia conflict. Conclusion To improve nursing students' ethical quality,the academic and clinical teachers should provide them continuous,multiple aspects education in responding to ethical conflicts.

Abstract:Oncology teaching for Chinese clinical undergraduate has some deficiencies.Deployment of teachers of different professional backgrounds as instructors to cancer and oncology physician as instructors to each specialties neoplastic disease is more reasonable compared to current teacher allocation which has little effect in the internship between classes and has small space for improvement.Arranging clinical internship can improve the quality of teaching and is beneficial to training oncology professionals and conductive to creating complex high quality health care team to meet the needs of society.
