Effect of Adding Surface Washing Process on Increasing Filter Yield and Improving Water Quality

Abstract:Combined with the production practice,the reconstruction technique of adding surface washing process onto a double valve filter was studied. The idea and method for solving the low yield and high cost of the filter due to algae-laden and micro-polluted raw water are put forward in terms of technology and economy. The quality of filtered water is significantly improved by changing the weak backwashing mode of common rapid filter while keeping or even increasing the original yield. Thus,it ensures that the turbidity of finished water is equal to or less than 1 NTU.
