Abstract:We apply the methods developed in our previous work to study holomorphic functions of slow growth on coverings of pseudoconvex domains in Stein manifolds. In particular, we extend and strengthen certain results of Gromov, Henkin and Shubin on holomorphic $L^{2}$ functions on coverings of pseudoconvex manifolds in the case of coverings of Stein manifolds.

Abstract:We use classical homological algebra methods to get results on the Hartogs extension phenomenon for holomorphic sections of holomorphic vector bundles over complex analytic varieties. Namely, we study behaviours of the Hartogs extension property with respect to the open embeddings, proper maps, compactifications, and relations with the compact supports first cohomology and with properties of boundaries of complex analytic varieties. As an application, we get a convex-geometric criterion of the Hartogs phenomenon for complex almost homogeneous algebraic $G$-varieties, where $G$ is a semiabelian variety.

Abstract:Turing Award winner Juris Hartmanis introduced in 1959 lattices of subspaces of generalized partitions ("partitions of type n"; "geometries" if $n = 2$). Hartmanis states it is "an unsolved problem whether there are any incomplete lattice homomorphisms in" lattices of subspaces of geometries. (He continues, "[I]f so how can these geometries be characterized.") We give a positive answer to this question.

Abstract:We generalize a theorem of Bismut–Zhang, which extends the Cheeger–Müller theorem on Ray–Singer torsion and Reidemeister torsion, to the case of infinite Galois covering spaces. Our result is stated in the framework of extended cohomology, and generalizes in this case a recent result of Braverman–Carey–Farber–Mathai. It does not use the determinant class condition and thus also (potentially) generalizes several results on L2-torsions due to Burghelea, Friedlander, Kappeler and McDonald. We combine the framework developed by Braverman–Carey–Farber–Mathai on the determinant of extended cohomology with the heat kernel method developed in the original paper of Bismut–Zhang to prove our result.
Hartogs type extension theorem for the complement of effective and numerically effective divisors

Abstract:In these notes we generalize the Ohsawa's results on the Hartogs extension phenomenon in the complement of effective divisors in Kähler manifolds with semipositive non-flat normal bundle. Namely, we prove that the Hartogs extension phenomenon occurs in the complement of effective and nef divisors with connected supports in Kähler manifolds. We use homological algebra methods instead of a construction of the $(n-1)$-convex exhaustion function. Also, the Demailly-Peternell vanishing theorem is a crucial argument for us. Moreover, we obtain geometric characterizations of the Hartogs phenomenon for the complement of basepoint-free divisors.

Abstract:As is well known the classical Hartman-Grobman theorem states that a C-1 mapping can be C-0 linearized near its hyperbolic fixed point in Rn. However, it is quite nontrivial to guarantee the local homeomorphism to be differentiable. Recently, the regularity assumption on derivative of the mapping has been weakened to Holder's type, significantly improving the work of C-infinity, but still unknown for only differentiable case. We will try to touch this question in this paper. Without Holder's type, we first consider the existence and regularity of weak-stable manifolds for homeomorphisms with contraction in a Banach space, and further study linearization of mappings near hyperbolic fixed points. More precisely, we propose an Integrability Condition for regularity on linearization which is proved to be sharp, and establish a differentiable Hartman-Grobman theorem via modulus of continuity in a general Banach space. Thus we provide an almost complete answer to the question mentioned above.

Abstract:The Wong-Rosay theorem is a theorem characterizing the strongly pseudoconvex domain in by their automorphism groups. It has a lot of generalizations to other domains (for example, the weakly pseudoconvex domains). However, most of them are those domains of . In this note, we generalize the Wong-Rosay theorem to the simply-connected complete Kähler manifold with negative sectional curvature. One aim of this note is to exhibit a Wong-Rosay type theorem in the manifold with a holomorphic non-invariant metric.

Abstract:In this paper, we provide a simpler proof of the Krötz--Stanton Extension Theorem for holomorphic extensions of orbit maps in unitary irreducible representations of connected semisimple Lie groups. Our result is a generalization of the previous result as it applies to Hilbert globalizations of finitely generated admissible $(\mathfrak{g},K)$-modules for arbitrary connected semisimple Lie groups $G$ with not necessarily finite center. Furthermore, we give polynomial growth estimates for the norms of the holomorphic extensions of the orbit maps of $K$-finite vectors in irreducible unitary representations. We use this to prove that, at the boundary of the principal crown bundle, these holomorphic extensions have boundary values in the space of distribution vectors.

Abstract:Abstract Let $H^\infty $ be the algebra of bounded holomorphic functions on the open unit disk, and let $\mathfrak M$ be its maximal ideal space. Let $\mathfrak M_a$ be the union of nontrivial Gleason parts (analytic disks) of $\mathfrak M$ . In this paper, we study the problem of extensions of bounded Banach-valued holomorphic functions and holomorphic maps with values in Oka manifolds from Gleason parts of $\mathfrak M_a\setminus \mathbb {D}$ . The resulting extensions satisfy the uniform boundedness principle in the sense that their norms are bounded by constants that do not depend on the choice of the Gleason part. The results extend fundamental results of D. Suárez on the characterization of the algebra of restrictions of Gelfand transforms of functions in $H^\infty $ to Gleason parts of $ \mathfrak M_a\setminus \mathbb {D}$ . The proofs utilize our recent advances on $\bar \partial $ -equations on quasi-interpolating sets and Runge-type approximations.

Abstract:Holomorphic functions in several complex variables are generalized to regular functions in several quaternionic variables, and further to monogenic functions of several vector variables, which are annihilated by several Dirac operators on $k$ copies of the Euclidean space $\mathbb R^n$. As the Dolbeault complex in complex analysis, the Dirac complex resolving several Dirac operators plays the fundamental role to investigate monogenic functions. Although the spaces in the Dirac complex are complicated irreducible modules of ${\rm GL}(k),$ we give a simple characterization of the first four spaces, which allows us to write down first three operators in the Dirac complex explicitly and to show this part to be an elliptic complex. Then the PDE method can be applied to obtain solutions to the non-homogeneous several Dirac equations under the compatibility condition, which implies the Hartogs' phenomenon for monogenic functions. Moreover, we find the boundary version of several Dirac operators and introduce the notion of a tangentially monogenic function, corresponding to tangential Cauchy-Riemann operator and CR functions in several complex variables, and establish the Hartogs-Bochner extension for tangentially monogenic functions on the boundary of a domain.

On the Ohsawa-Takegoshi $L^2$ extension theorem and removable singularities of plurisubharmonic functions

Abstract:The celebrated Ohsawa--Takegoshi extension theorem for $L^2$ holomorphic functions on bounded pseudoconvex domains in $\mathbb C^n$ is a fundamental result in several complex variables and complex geometry. Ohsawa conjectured in 1995 that the same theorem still holds for more general bounded complete Kähler domains in $\mathbb C^n$. Recently, Chen--Wu--Wang confirmed this conjecture in a special case. In this paper we extend their result to the case of holomorphic sections of twisted canonical bundles over relatively compact complete Kähler domains in Stein manifolds. As an application we prove a Hartogs type extension theorem for plurisubharmonic functions across a compact complete pluripolar set, which is complementary to a classical result of Shiffman and can be seen as an analogue of the Skoda--El Mir extension theorem for plurisubharmonic functions -- a result that has been vacant since at least 1985.
