Abstract:We prove that generalized loop spaces of Hartogs manifolds are Hilbert-Hartogs. We prove also that Hilbert-Hartogs manifolds possess a better extension properties that it is postulated in their definition. Finally, we give a list of examples of Hilbert-Hartogs manifolds.

Abstract:Turing Award winner Juris Hartmanis introduced in 1959 lattices of subspaces of generalized partitions ("partitions of type n"; "geometries" if $n = 2$). Hartmanis states it is "an unsolved problem whether there are any incomplete lattice homomorphisms in" lattices of subspaces of geometries. (He continues, "[I]f so how can these geometries be characterized.") We give a positive answer to this question.

Abstract:The authors consider ±(Φ, J)-holomorphic maps from Sasakian manifolds into Kähler manifolds, which can be seen as counterparts of holomorphic maps in Kähler geometry. It is proved that those maps must be harmonic and basic. Then a Schwarz lemma for those maps is obtained. On the other hand, an invariant in its basic homotopic class is obtained. Moreover, the invariant is just held in the class of basic maps.

Abstract:We use classical homological algebra methods to get results on the Hartogs extension phenomenon for holomorphic sections of holomorphic vector bundles over complex analytic varieties. Namely, we study behaviours of the Hartogs extension property with respect to the open embeddings, proper maps, compactifications, and relations with the compact supports first cohomology and with properties of boundaries of complex analytic varieties. As an application, we get a convex-geometric criterion of the Hartogs phenomenon for complex almost homogeneous algebraic $G$-varieties, where $G$ is a semiabelian variety.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a class of generalized closed linear manifolds in a nonseparable Hilbert space H , which is closely related to the generalized Fredholm theory. We first investigate properties of the set for some where is a -subalgebra of a von Neumann algebra . It is proved that a selfadjoint is always an ideal in . In a type factor, we show that there exists a tracial weight (whose range containing infinite cardinals) such that two projections are equivalent if and only if they have the same tracial weight, which leads to a complete characterization of such selfadjoint when is a factor. Then we introduce the concept of closed manifolds with respect to a pair of C *-algebras and study some properties. Finally, when m is an infinite cardinal, as a special important case we focus on m -closed subspaces and operators which preserve m -closed subspaces. It is proved that these operators are either of rank less than m , or the generalized left semi-Fredholm operators.

Abstract:The goal of this paper is to understand the properties of meromorphic mappings with values in two model complex Hibert manifolds: Hilbert projective space $\pp(l^2)$ and Sobolev loop space of the Riemann sphere $L\pp^1$. It occurs that these properties are quite different. Based on our study we obtain as a corollary that $L\pp^1$ does not admit a closed holomorphic imbedding to $\pp(l^2)$. In other words $L\pp^1$ is {\slsf not} a Hilbert projective variety despite of the fact that it is Kähler and meromorphic functions separate points on it.

Non Hilbertian (Lorentzian) Length Spaces

Abstract:In this note, the idea of finite dimensional $L^p$ spaces is transferred to Lorentzian length spaces to provide an example that is locally nowhere Minkowskian. Looking at the sectional curvature bounds of this example leads to the more general statement that normed spaces in which the norm does not come from an inner product, have no sectional curvature bounds. This statement holds in the Riemannian and Lorentzian cases. In addition, the Lorentzian $L^p$ space can be used as an example in the context of Lorentzian Gromov-Hausdorff convergence, to show that unbounded sectional curvature or geodesic regularity is in general not preserved in the GH limit, and as an example of a sequence of uniform bounded length spaces which are not GH pre-compact.

In a previous paper, we introduce the notion of formal manifolds and develop the foundational framework of formal manifolds. In this paper, we study various function spaces on formal manifolds, including generalizations of vector-valued generalized functions and vector-valued distributions on smooth manifolds to the setting of formal manifolds.

Symmetry Integrability and Geometry Methods and Applications

Abstract:We construct a Clifford algebra bundle formed from the tangent bundle of the smooth loop space of a Riemannian manifold, which is a bundle of super von Neumann algebras on the loop space. We show that this bundle is in general non-trivial, more precisely that its triviality is obstructed by the transgressions of the second Stiefel-Whitney class and the first (fractional) Pontrjagin class of the manifold.

Abstract:We study the homotopy of the connected sum of a manifold with a projective space, viewed as a typical way to stabilize manifolds. In particular, we show a loop homotopy decomposition of a manifold after stabilization by a projective space, and provide concrete examples. To do this, we trace the effect in homotopy theory of surgery on certain product manifolds by showing a loop homotopy decomposition after localization away from the order of the image of the classical $J$-homomorphism.

Abstract:For a Lorentzian homogeneous space, we study how algebraic conditions on the isotropy group affect the geometry and curvature of the homogeneous space. More specifically, we prove that a Lorentzian locally homogeneous space is locally isometric to a plane wave if it admits an Ambrose--Singer connection with indecomposable, non-irreducible holonomy. This generalises several existing results that require a certain algebraic type of the torsion of the Ambrose--Singer connection and moreover is in analogy to the fact that a Lorentzian homogeneous space with irreducible isotropy has constant sectional curvature.

Variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and their applications in Fourier Analysis

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a new class of function spaces, which unify and generalize Lorentz-Karamata spaces, variable Lorentz spaces and other several classical function spaces. Based on the new spaces, we develop the theory of variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and apply it to Fourier Analysis. To be precise, we discuss the basic properties of Lorentz-Karamata spaces with variable exponents. We introduce five variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and characterize them via simple atoms as well as via atoms. As applications of the atomic decompositions, dual theorems and the generalized John-Nirenberg theorem for the new framework are presented. Moreover, we obtain the boundedness of $\sigma$-sublinear operator defined on variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces, which leads to martingale inequalities and the relation of the five variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces. Also, we investigate the boundedness of fractional integral operators in this new framework. Finally, we deal with the applications of variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces in Fourier analysis by using the previous results. More precisely, we show that the partial sums of the Walsh-Fourier series converge to the function in norm if $f\in L_{p(\cdot),q,b}$ with $1<p_-\le p_+<\infty$. The Fej\'{e}r summability method is also studied and it is proved that the maximal Fej\'{e}r operator is bounded from variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces to variable Lorentz-Karamata spaces. As a consequence, we get conclusions about almost everywhere and norm convergence of Fej\'{e}r means. The results obtained in this paper generalize the results for martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz spaces. Especially, we remove the condition that $b$ is nondecreasing in previous literature.

Abstract:We prove the existence of spectral gaps of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operators on loop spaces over a class of Riemannian manifolds which include hyperbolic spaces. This is an alternative proof and an extension of a result in Chen-Li-Wu in J. Funct. Anal. 259 (2010), 1421-1442. Further, we study the asymptotic behavior of the spectral gap.

Abstract:We formulate and prove an index theorem for loop spaces of compact manifolds in the framework of KK -theory. It is a strong candidate for the noncommutative geometrical definition (or the analytic counterpart) of the Witten genus. In order to specify an "appropriate form" of the index theorem to formulate a loop space version, we formulate and prove an equivariant index theorem for non-compact S1 -manifolds with a compact fixed-point set. In order to formulate it, we use a ring of formal power series.

Path spaces of pushouts

Abstract:Given a span of spaces, one can form the homotopy pushout and then take the homotopy pullback of the resulting cospan. We give a concrete description of this pullback as the colimit of a sequence of approximations, using what we call the zigzag construction. We also obtain a description of loop spaces of homotopy pushouts. Using the zigzag construction, we reproduce generalisations of the Blakers-Massey theorem and fundamental results from Bass-Serre theory. We also describe the loop space of a wedge and show that it splits after suspension. Our construction can be interpreted in a large class of $(\infty,1)$-categories and in homotopy type theory, where it resolves the long-standing open problem of showing that a pushout of 0-types is 1-truncated. The zigzag construction is closely related to the James construction, but works in greater generality.

Abstract:ABSTRACT Let $(M,I,J,K,\Omega)$ be a compact HKT manifold, and let us denote with $\partial$ the conjugate Dolbeault operator with respect to I, $\partial_J:=J^{-1}\overline\partial J$, $\partial^\Lambda:=[\partial,\Lambda]$, where Λ is the adjoint of $L:=\Omega\wedge-$. Under suitable assumptions, we study Hodge theory for the complexes $(A^{\bullet,0},\partial,\partial_J)$ and $(A^{\bullet,0},\partial,\partial^\Lambda)$ showing a similar behavior to Kähler manifolds. In particular, several relations among the Laplacians, the spaces of harmonic forms and the associated cohomology groups, together with Hard Lefschetz properties, are proved. Moreover, we show that for a compact HKT $\mathrm{SL}(n,\mathbb{H})$-manifold, the differential graded algebra $(A^{\bullet,0},\partial)$ is formal and this will lead to an obstruction for the existence of an HKT $\mathrm{SL}(n,\mathbb{H})$ structure $(I,J,K,\Omega)$ on a compact complex manifold (M, I). Finally, balanced HKT structures on solvmanifolds are studied.
