Abstract:We present the basic theory of central subsets of semigroups from the nonstandard perspective. A key feature of this perspective is the replacement of the algebra of ultrafilters with the algebra of elements of iterated hyperextensions, a technique first employed by Mauro Di Nasso.

Abstract:Using the notions of Topological dynamics, H. Furstenberg defined central sets and proved the Central Sets Theorem. Later V. Bergelson and N. Hindman characterized central sets in terms of algebra of the Stone-Čech compactification of discrete semigroup. They found that central sets are the members of the minimal idempotents of \b{eta}S, the Stone-Čech compactification of a semigroup (S, .). Hindman and leader introduced the notion of Central set near zero algebraically. Later dynamical and combinatorial characterization have also been established. For any given filter F in S a set A is said to be a F- central set if it is a member of a minimal idempotent of a closed subsemigroup of \b{eta}S, generated by the filter F. In a recent article Bergelson, Hindman and Strauss introduced strongly central and very strongly central sets in [BHS]. They also dynamically characterized the sets in the same paper. In the present article we will characterize the strongly F- central sets dynamically and combinatorially. Here we introduce the filter version of strongly central sets and very strongly central sets. We also provide dynamical and combinatorial characterization of such sets.

Abstract:Using the methods from topological dynamics, H. Furstenberg introduced the notions of Central sets and proved the famous Central Sets Theorem which is the simultaneous extension of the van der Waerden and Hindman Theorem. Later N. Hindman and V. Bergelson found an equivalent formulation of Central sets in the set of natural numbers in terms of the algebra of the Stone-Čech compactification of discrete semigroups. The general case was proved by H. Shi and H. Yang. Using the notions of ultrafilters, J. McLeod introduced the notions of Central sets for commutative adequate partial semigroups, however for noncommutative cases, Central sets can be defined similarly. In this article, introducing the notions of topological dynamics for partial semigroup actions, we find an equivalent dynamical characterization of central sets in partial semigroups\footnote{Recently in \cite{GTG}, authors attempted to do the same but in a different approach.}. Throughout our article, we follow the approach of N. Hindman and D. Strauss [N. Hindman, and D. Strauss: Algebra in the Stone-\v Cech compactification: theory and applications, second edition, de Gruyter, Berlin, 2012.].

Non commutative multidimensional stronger Central Sets Theorem

Abstract:Hindman's theorem and van der Waerden's theorem are two classical Ramsey theoretic results, the first one deals with finite configurations and the second one deals with infinite configurations. The Central Sets Theorem due to Furstenberg is a strong simultaneous extension of both theorems, which also applies to general commutative semigroups. Beiglboeck provided a common extension of the Central Sets Theorem and Milliken-Taylor Theorem in commutative case. Furstenberg's original Central Sets Theorem was proved in \cite{key-2} for $\left(\mathbb{N},+\right)$ for finitely many sequences at a time. Bergelson and Hindman provided a non commutative version of this Theorem \cite{key-3}. The first author of this article jointly with Hindman and Straus provided a non-commutative version of Central Sets Theorem using arbitrary many sequence at a time \cite{key-5}. In this work we will provide a non-commutative extension of Beiglboeck's Theorem. We also provide polynomial generalization of Beiglbock's theorem.

Abstract:H. Furstenberg defined Central sets in $\mathbb{N}$ by using the notions of topological dynamics, later Bergelson and Hindman characterized central sets in $\mathbb{N}$ and also in arbitrary semigroup in terms of algebra of Stone-Čech compactification of that set. We state the new notion of large sets in a partial semigroup setting and characterize the algebraic structure of the sets by using the algebra of Stone-Čech compactification. By using these notions, we introduce the \emph{Partial Semigroup Partial Dynamical System(PSPDS)} and show that topological dynamical characterization of central sets in a partial semigroup is equivalent to the usual algebraic characterization.

Abstract:The Theorems of Hindman and van der Waerden belong to the classical theorems of partition Ramsey Theory. The Central Sets Theorem is a strong simultaneous extension of both theorems that applies to general commutative semigroups. We give a common extension of the Central Sets Theorem and Ramsey's Theorem.

Abstract:A subset of the positive integers is \emph{dynamically central syndetic} if it contains the set of times that a point returns to a neighborhood of itself under a minimal transformation of a compact metric space. These sets are part of the highly-influential link between dynamics and combinatorics forged by Furstenberg and Weiss in the 1970's. Our main result is a characterization of dynamically central syndetic sets as precisely those sets that belong to syndetic, idempotent filters. Idempotent filters are combinatorial objects that abound in ergodic Ramsey theory but have been largely unnoticed and unexplored. We develop the algebra of these objects for the proof of the main theorem and with an eye toward future applications. The main result is best contextualized as a ``global'' analogue to Bergelson and Hindman's ``local'' characterization of Furstenberg's central sets as members of minimal, idempotent ultrafilters. It leads to a dual characterization of sets of topological pointwise recurrence, allowing us to answer a question of Glasner, Tsankov, Weiss, and Zucker. We draw numerous striking contrasts between pointwise recurrence and set recurrence, a topic with a long history in the subject and its applications, and answer four questions posed by Host, Kra, and Maass. We also show that the intersection of a dynamically central syndetic set with a set of pointwise recurrence must be piecewise syndetic, generalizing results of Dong, Glasner, Huang, Shao, Weiss, and Ye.

Abstract:Using the methods from topological dynamics, H. Furstenberg introduced the notion of a central set and proved the famous Central Sets Theorem. Later D. De, Neil Hindman, and D. Strauss [Fund. Math.199 (2008), 155-175.] established a stronger version of the Central Sets Theorem and then introduced the notion of $C$-sets satisfying the Central Sets Theorem and studied the properties of these sets. For any weak mixing system $\left(X, \mathcal{B},\mu, T\right),$ and $A_{0},A_{1}\in\mathcal{B}$, with $\mu\left(A_{0}\right)\mu\left(A_{1}\right)>0$, R. Kung and <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://X.Ye" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> [Disc. Cont. Dyn. sys., 18 (2007) 817-827.] proved that the set $N\left(A,B\right)= \left\{n:\mu\left(A_{0}\cap T^{-n}A_{1}\right)>0\right\}$ intersects all sets of positive upper Banach density. However, later N. Hindman and D. Strauss [New York J. Math. 26 (2020) 230-260.] proved that there exist $C$-sets having zero upper Banach density. Inspired by this result, in this article, we prove that $N\left(A, B \right)$ intersects with all $C$-sets. Then we introduce the notion of a dynamical $C^{\star}$-set and then we study their combinatorial properties.

Abstract:We define a natural equivalence relation on collections of cards from the card game SET, and enumerate some of the equivalence classes, vastly generalizing the standard game. On this basis, we describe several alternative games for the SET deck, including the game of STUN, in which the goal is to find three cards with exactly two values in each attribute.

Abstract:> The uniqueness and existence of restricted Chebyshev center with respect to arbitrary subset are investigated. The concept of almost Chebyshev sets with respect to bounded subsets is introduced. It is proved that each closed subset in a reflexive locally uniformly convex (uniformly convex, respectively) Banach space is an almost Chebyshev subset with respect to compact convex subsets (bounded convex subsets and bounded subsets, respectively).

A generalized theory of ideals and algebraic substructures

Abstract:In 2011, a topic containing the concepts of upper and lower periodic subsets of (basic) algebraic structures was introduced and studied. The concept of ``upper periodic subsets'' can be considered as a generalized topic of ideals and sub-structures (e.g., subgroups, sub-semigroups, sub-magmas, sub-rings, etc.). Hence, it can be improved to a theory in every algebraic structure which extends many basic concepts including the ideals. This paper follows the mentioned goals and studies related to algebraic and topological aspects. For this purpose, first, we state an improved fundamental theorem about the unique direct representation of left upper periodic subsets and then introduce some extensions and generalizations. As a result of the study, we classify sub-semigroups and subgroups of real numbers and introduce some related topics and concenterable upper periodic subsets. We end the study with many research projects and some future directions of the theory.

Abstract:Suppose A is a unital subhomogeneous C*-algebra. We show that every central sequence in A is hypercentral if and only if every pointwise limit of a sequence of irreducible representations is multiplicity free. We also show that every central sequence in A is trivial if and only if every pointwise limit of irreducible representations is irreducible. We also give a nice repesentation of the latter algebras.

Abstract:We develop the theory of central ideals on commutative rings. We introduce and study the central seminormalization of a ring in another one. This seminormalization is related to the theory of regulous functions on real algebraic varieties. We provide a construction of the central seminormalization by a decomposition theorem in elementary central gluings. The existence of a central seminormalization is established in the affine case and for real schemes.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of functional extension of a set XX, by means of two natural algebraic properties of the operator “∗*” on unary functions. We study the connections with ultrapowers of structures with universe XX, and we give a simple characterization of those functional extensions that correspond to limit ultrapower extensions. In particular we obtain a purely algebraic proof of Keisler’s characterization of nonstandard (= complete elementary) extensions.

Abstract:If a discrete subset S of a topological group G with the identity 1 generates a dense subgroup of G and S∪{1} is closed in G, then S is called a suitable set for G. We apply Michael's selection theorem to offer a direct, self-contained, purely topological proof of the result of Hofmann and Morris [K.-H. Hofmann, S.A. Morris, Weight and c, J. Pure Appl. Algebra 68 (1–2) (1990) 181–194] on the existence of suitable sets in locally compact groups. Our approach uses only elementary facts from (topological) group theory.

On the full centraliser of Erdős $\cB$-free shifts

Abstract:The sets of $\cB$-free integers are considered with respect to (reversing) symmetries. It is well known that, for a large class of them, the centraliser of the associated $\cB$-free shift (otherwise known as its automorphism group) is trivial. We extend this result to the full centraliser, which effectively means to show that all self-homeomorphisms of the $\cB$-free shift that commute with some power of the shift are shifts themselves. This also leads to the result that the full normaliser agrees with the normaliser for this class, which is the semi-direct product of the centraliser with the cyclic group of order two generated by reflection.

Abstract:In \cite[Proposition 8.21 Page-169]{F} Using the methods of topological dynamics, H. Furstenberg introduced the notion of central set and proved the famous Central Sets Theorem. Later, in \cite{DHS}, D. De, H. Hindman and D. Struss established a strong Central Sets Theorem, where they introduced the notion of $J$-set. Like $J$-set, in \cite{BG} V. Bergelson and D. Glasscock introduced the notion of combinatorially rich set ( $CR$-set). Let $u,v\in\mathbb{N}$ and $A$ be a $u\times v$ matrix with rational entries. In \cite{HS23}, N. Hindman and D. Strauss established that whenever $B$ is a piecewise syndetic set (resp. $J$-set) in $\mathbb{Z}$, $\left\{ \vec{x}\in\mathbb{Z}^{v}:A\vec{x}\in B^{u}\right\} $ is a piecewise syndetic set ( resp. $J$-set) in $\mathbb{Z}^{v}$. In this article, we prove the same result for $CR$-sets using an equivalent definition of $CR$-set in \cite{HHST} by N. Hindman, H. Hosseini, D. Strauss and M. Tootkaboni.

Abstract:Let $(K,\nu)$ be a real closed valued field, and let $S\subseteq K^n$ be a definable open semi-algebraic set. We find an algebraic characterization of rational functions which are OVF-integral on $S$.
