Abstract:Myth in children’s literature opens up an imaginative realm that allows children to tackle their mundane lives. Myth is a part of storytelling and involves human and supernatural elements. Some writers like C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Welwyn Wilton Katz and so on have contributed to this field. Elwyn Brooks White is one among them. His engagement world of myth contributes to the renewal of collective eccentric imagination. He picturises the animal world in his classical magnum opus Charlotte’s Web. He represents the sense of the web of life. This novel shows different approaches in which animals’ speak. The barn in Charlotte’s Web functions as its own culture and tradition. This novel depicts the culture that lies between the human and animal world. This paper entitled “Investigating the Interrelation of Humans and Fauna in E.B.White’s Charlotte’s Web” focuses on the belief of nature, an emphasis on animal presence and a sense of culture in Children’s literature. The paper concludes that the world is naturally inhabited by humans and animals.
