Abstract:In this paper, we investigate pairwise quasi-orthogonal subalgebras in Mpkn which are isomorphic to Mpk for k⩾1, n⩾2 and a prime number p with p⩾3. We prove there exist (p2kn-1)/(p2k-1) such subalgebras and they span Mpkn.

Abstract:The generalized piecewise-Koszul algebras(also called K_p algebras for short) are generally a class of quadratic algebras whose trivial modules admitting non-pure resolutions. The authors provide a sufficient condition for a graded algebra A to be K_p in terms of its Yoneda-Ext algebra E(A),and also discuss whether the factor algebras of K_p inherit this property.

Abstract:We study a class of A∞-algebras, named (2,p)-algebras, which is related to the class of p-homogeneous algebras, especially to the class of p-Koszul algebras. A general method to construct (2,p)-algebras is given. Koszul dual of a connected graded algebra is defined in terms of A∞-algebra. It is proved that a p-homogeneous algebra A is p-Koszul if and only if the Koszul dual E(A) is a reduced (2,p)-algebra and generated by E1(A). The (2,p)-algebra structure of the Koszul dual E(A) of a p-Koszul algebra A is described explicitly. A necessary and sufficient condition for a p-homogeneous algebra to be a p-Koszul algebra is also given when the higher multiplications on the Koszul dual are ignored.

Abstract:A natural family of quantized matrix algebras is introduced. It includes the two best studied such. Located inside Uq(A2n−1), it consists of quadratic algebras with the same Hilbert series as polynomials in n2 variables. We discuss their general properties and investigate some members of the family in great detail with respect to associated varieties, degrees, centers, and symplectic leaves. Finally, the space of rank r matrices becomes a Poisson submanifold, and there is an associated tensor category of rank ⩽r matrices.

Abstract:Let $A_\alpha$ be the semi-infinite tridiagonal matrix having subdiagonal and superdiagonal unit entries, $(A_\alpha)_{11}=\alpha$, where $\alpha\in\mathbb C$, and zero elsewhere. A basis $\{P_0,P_1,P_2,\ldots\}$ of the linear space $\mathcal P_\alpha$ spanned by the powers of $A_\alpha$ is determined, where $P_0=I$, $P_n=T_n+H_n$, $T_n$ is the symmetric Toeplitz matrix having ones in the $n$th super- and sub-diagonal, zeros elsewhere, and $H_n$ is the Hankel matrix with first row $[\theta\alpha^{n-2}, \theta\alpha^{n-3}, \ldots, \theta, \alpha, 0, \ldots]$, where $\theta=\alpha^2-1$. The set $\mathcal P_\alpha$ is an algebra, and for $\alpha\in\{-1,0,1\}$, $H_n$ has only one nonzero anti-diagonal. This fact is exploited to provide a better representation of symmetric quasi-Toeplitz matrices $\mathcal {QT}_S$, where, instead of representing a generic matrix $A\in\mathcal{QT}_S$ as $A=T+K$, where $T$ is Toeplitz and $K$ is compact, it is represented as $A=P+H$, where $P\in\mathcal P_\alpha$ and $H$ is compact. It is shown experimentally that the matrix arithmetic obtained this way is much more effective than that implemented in the CQT-Toolbox of Numer.~Algo. 81(2):741--769, 2019.

Abstract:Let p and q be distinct odd primes and assume k is an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. We classify all quasitriangular Hopf algebras of dimension pq^2 over k, which are not simple as Hopf algebras. Moreover, we obtained all quasitriangular structures on these Hopf algebras.
Counting Problems for Orthogonal Sets and Sublattices in Function Fields

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{K}=\mathbb{F}_q((x^{-1}))$. Analogous to orthogonality in the Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^n$, there exists a well-studied notion of ultrametric orthogonality in $\mathcal{K}^n$. In this paper, we extend the work of \cite{AB24} about counting results related to orthogonality in $\mathcal{K}^n$. For example, we answer an open question from \cite{AB24} by bounding the size of the largest ``orthogonal sets'' in $\mathcal{K}^n$. Furthermore, we investigate analogues of Hadamard matrices over $\mathcal{K}$. Finally, we use orthogonality to compute the number of sublattices of $\mathbb{F}_q[x]^n$ with a certain geometric structure, as well as to determine the number of orthogonal bases for a sublattice in $\mathcal{K}^n$. The resulting formulas depend crucially on successive minima.

Abstract:In the present paper we shall obtain the following result: Let n≥2 and m≥1 be integers. Let p(x1,...,xm) be a polynomial with zero constant term in non-commutative variables over an algebraically closed field K . Suppose that 1≤r≤n−1 , where r is the order of p . Then p(Tn(K)) is a dense subset of Tn(K)(r−1) (with respect to the Zariski topology). This is a solution of a problem presented by Gargate and de Mello and a supplement to a result obtained by Panja and Prasad in 2023.

Abstract:A real matrix $Q$ is quasi-orthogonal if $Q^{\top}Q=qI$, for some positive real number $q$. We prove that any $n\times n$ skew-symmetric matrix $S$ is a principal sub-matrix of a skew-symmetric quasi-orthogonal matrix $Q$, called a quasi-orthogonal extension of $S$. Moreover, we determine the least integer $d$ such that $S$ has a quasi-orthogonal extension of order $n+d$. This integer is called the quasi-orthogonality index of $S$. Lastly, we give a spectral characterization of skew-adjacency matrices of tournaments with quasi-orthogonality index at most three.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the combinatorial relations between the cokernels $\text{cok}(A_n+px_iI_n)$ ($1 \le i \le m$) where $A_n$ is an $n \times n$ matrix over the ring of $p$-adic integers $\mathbb{Z}_p$, $I_n$ is the $n \times n$ identity matrix and $x_1, \cdots, x_m$ are elements of $ \mathbb{Z}_p$ whose reductions modulo $p$ are distinct. For a positive integer $m \le 4$ and given $x_1, \cdots, x_m \in \mathbb{Z}_p$, we determine the set of $m$-tuples of finitely generated $\mathbb{Z}_p$-modules $(H_1, \cdots, H_m)$ for which $(\text{cok}(A_n+px_1I_n), \cdots, \text{cok}(A_n+px_mI_n)) = (H_1, \cdots, H_m)$ for some matrix $A_n$. We also prove that if $A_n$ is an $n \times n$ Haar random matrix over $\mathbb{Z}_p$ for each positive integer $n$, then the joint distribution of $\text{cok}(A_n+px_iI_n)$ ($1 \le i \le m$) converges as $n \rightarrow \infty$.

Abstract:We study $p$-adic operator algebras, which are nonarchimedean analogues of $C^*$-algebras. We demonstrate that various classical examples of operator algebras - such as group(oid) algebras - have a nonarchimedean counterpart. The category of $p$-adic operator algebras exhibits a similar flavor to the category of real and complex $C^*$-algebras, featuring limits, colimits, tensor products, crossed products and an enveloping construction permitting us to construct $p$-adic operator algebras from involutive algebras over $\mathbb{Z}_{p}$. Finally, we briefly discuss an analogue of topological $K$-theory for Banach $\mathbb{Z}_{p}$-algebras, and compute it in basic examples, like Cuntz algebras and rotation algebras.

Abstract:We study the set of k-quasi-(m, n,C)-isosymmetric operators. This family extends the set of (m, , n,C)-isosymmetric operators. In the present article, we give operator matrix representation of k-quasi-(m, , n,C)-isosymmetric operator in order to obtain some structural properties for such operators. we show that if R is k-quasi-(m, n,C)-isosymmetric, then Rq is a k-quasi-(m, n,C)-isosymmetric operator. We show that the product of an k1-quasi-(m1, n1,C)-isosymmetric and an n2-quasi-(m2, n2,C)-isosymmetric which are Cdouble commuting is an max{k1, k2}-quasi-(m1 + m2 − 1, n1 + n2 − 1,C)-isosymmetry under suitable conditions. In particular, we prove the stability of perturbation of kquasi-( m, n,C)-isosymmetric operator by a nilpotent operator of order p under suitable conditions. Moreover, we give some results about the joint approximate spectrum of a k-quasi-(m, n,C)-isosymmetric operators.

Nonsingularity of unsymmetric Kansa matrices: random collocation by MultiQuadrics and Inverse MultiQuadrics

Abstract:Unisolvence of unsymmetric Kansa collocation is still a substantially open problem. We prove that Kansa matrices with MultiQuadrics and Inverse MultiQuadrics for the Dirichlet problem of the Poisson equation are almost surely nonsingular, when the collocation points are chosen by any continuous random distribution in the domain interior and arbitrarily on its boundary.

Abstract:In this paper, we solve a classical counting problem for non-degenerate quadratic forms defined on a vector space in odd characteristic; given a subspace $\pi$, we determine the number of non-singular subspaces that are trivially intersecting with $\pi$ and span a non-singular subspace with $\pi$. Lower bounds for the quantity of such pairs where $\pi$ is non-singular were first studied in `Glasby, Niemeyer, Praeger (Finite Fields Appl., 2022)', which was later improved for even-dimensional subspaces in `Glasby, Ihringer, Mattheus (Des. Codes Cryptogr., 2023)' and generalised in `Glasby, Niemeyer, Praeger (Linear Algebra Appl., 2022)'. The explicit formulae, which allow us to give the exact proportion and improve the known lower bounds were derived in the symplectic and Hermitian case in `De Boeck and Van de Voorde (Linear Algebra Appl. 2024)'. This paper deals with the more complicated quadratic case.

Abstract:In answer to a question on Mathoverflow we show that the Boolean algebra $\mathcal{P}(\omega)/\mathit{fin}$ contains a family $\{\mathcal{B}_X:X\subseteq\mathfrak{c}\}$ of subalgebras with the property that $X\subseteq Y$ implies $\mathcal{B}_Y$ is a subalgebra of $\mathcal{B}_X$ and if $X\not\subseteq Y$ then $\mathcal{B}_Y$ is not embeddable into~$\mathcal{B}_X$. The proof proceeds by Stone duality and the construction of a suitable family of separable zero-dimensional compact spaces.
