Abstract:In this paper, we consider the existence of solutions for critical quasilinear equations with singular potentials via perturbation method. We apply the generalization of Lions-type theorem to overcome the non-compactness problem.

Abstract:This paper deals with a class of quasilinear Schrödinger system with critical exponents and bounded potentials in ℝ^N (N ≥ 3) : {[ ∑_i,j=1^ND_j(a_ij(u)D_iu)-1/2∑_i,j=1^ND_s a_ij(u) D_i u D_j u-a(x)u+F_u(u,v)=0; ∑_i,j=1^ND_j(a_ij(v)D_iv)-1/2∑_i,j=1^ND_s a_ij(v) D_i v D_j v-b(x)v+F_v(u,v)=0, ]. (P) where D_i = ∂/∂ x_i, D_sa_ij(s) = d/dsa_ij(s), F(u,v) is the coupling term with critical growth, and a ( x ), b ( x ) are potential functions. This kind of equations include the so-called Modified Nonlinear Schrödinger Systems. By using a perturbation method, we prove the existence of a ground state positive solution for ( P ).

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the following quasilinear elliptic equation with critical growth and a Hardy term: [Formula: see text]where [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] is a constant, [Formula: see text][Formula: see text] is the Sobolev critical exponent. And [Formula: see text] is an open bounded domain which contains the origin. We will study the existence of infinitely many solutions for (P). To achieve this goal, we first perform various kinds of change of variables to overcome the difficulties caused by the unboundedness of [Formula: see text] ([Formula: see text] for large [Formula: see text]) and the lack of a global monotone condition [Formula: see text] (see below) on [Formula: see text], then combining the idea of regularization approach and subcritical approximation we prove the existence of infinitely many solutions for (P). Our results show that under some suitable assumptions on [Formula: see text], without the perturbation of the lower term [Formula: see text] we can still obtain the existence of infinitely many solutions for (P).

Abstract:We consider the following singular quasilinear Schrödinger equations involving critical exponent where . By using the variational methods, we first prove that for small values of and , the above problem has infinitely many distinct solutions with negative energy. Besides, we point out that odd assumption on f is required; the problem has at least one nontrivial solution. Finally, a new modified technique is used to consider the existence of infinitely many solutions for far more general equations.

Abstract:In this paper we study the existence, multiplicity and concentration behaviour of ground states for a class of quasilinear Schrodinger equations with critical growth. By using a change of variables, the quasilinear equations are reduced to a semilinear one, whose associated functionals are well defined in the usual Sobolev space and satisfy the geometric conditions of the mountain pass theorem. We relate the number of positive solutions with the topology of the set where the potential attains its minimum value. The proofs are based on the Ljusternik-Schnirelmann theory and variational methods.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the following singular quasilinear equation, where , \(0<\beta <n\) , and f has critical exponential growth at infinity. We establish a compactness lemma for functional and develop some delicate analyses to deal with non-standard difficulties caused by singular term and the compactness issue. We introduce some natural assumptions on the nonlinearity f and obtain the existence of Mountain-pass type solution and ground state solution for above equation. Moreover, two distinct solutions, one has positive energy while the other one has negative energy, are established for the above equation with a perturbation.</n\)<>

Abstract:This paper deals with a pseudo-parabolic p -Laplacian equation involving singular potential. Firstly, we determine the existence and uniqueness of weak solution in the Sobolev spaces by using Galerkin methods and some priori estimates. Secondly, in the frame of variational methods, we classify the blow-up and the global existence of weak solutions by covering all kinds of initial energy. Moreover, we obtain the upper bounds of blow-up time for all cases. The results of this paper extend the ones in Lian et al. J Differ Equ 269:4914–4959, 2020.

Abstract:In this paper, by variational methods, we study the existence and nonexistence of positive solutions for a class of generalized quasilinear Schrödinger equations involving a Kirchhoff-type perturbation with critical Sobolev exponent. In particular, the first result is based on the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition. Moreover, the second results are established via the Pohožaev identity. Finally, the last results are not based on the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition and we use generalized conditions to prove the results.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the semilinear wave equations with the inverse-square potential. By transferring the original equation to a "fractional dimensional" wave equation and analyzing the properties of its fundamental solution, we establish a long-time existence result, for sufficiently small, spherically symmetric initial data. Together with the previously known blow-up result, we determine the critical exponent which divides the global existence and finite time blow-up. Moreover, the sharp lower bounds of the lifespan are obtained, except for certain borderline case. In addition, our technology allows us to handle an extreme case for the potential, which has hardly been discussed in literature.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the following quasilinear equation involving a Hardy potential: {- Sigma D-N (i,j=1)j(a(ij)(u)D(i)u) + 1/2 Sigma(N )(i,j=1)a(ij)' (u)D(i)uD(j)u - mu/vertical bar x vertical bar(2)u = au + vertical bar u vertical bar(2)*( -2) in Omega, u = 0 on partial derivative Omega, (P) where 2* = 2N/N-2 is the Sobolev critical exponent for the embedding of H-0(1)(Omega) into L-P(Omega), a > 0 is a constant and Omega subset of R-N is an open bounded domain which contains the origin. We will prove that under some suitable assumptions on a(ij), when N >= 7 and mu is an element of [0, mu*) for some constant mu*, problem (P) admits an unbounded sequence of solutions. To achieve this goal, we perform the subcritical approximation and the regularization perturbation.

Abstract:We study the following fractional Choquard equation where N ⩾ 3 , s ∈ 1 2 , 1 , α ∈ ( 0 , N ) , θ ∈ ( 0 , 2 s ) , and I α is the Riesz potential. The main purpose of this article is twofold. We first study the regularity of weak solutions for the aforementioned equation with critical nonlinearity, which extends the results of θ = 0 in Moroz-Van Schaftingen [ Existence of groundstates for a class of nonlinear Choquardequations , Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 367 (2015), no. 9, 6557–6579]. Then, as an application of the regularity results, we establish the existence of ground state solutions for above equation with the nonlinearity involving embedding top and bottom indices, which is related to the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality and singular term 1 ∣ x ∣ θ . It is worth noting that our approach is not involving the concentration-compactness principle.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the non-existence and existence of solutions for a generalized quasilinear Schrödinger equation with a Kirchhoff-type perturbation. When the non-linearity h ( u ) shows critical or supercritical growth at infinity, the non-existence result for a quasilinear Schrödinger equation is proved via the Pohožaev identity. If h ( u ) shows asymptotically cubic growth at infinity, the existence of positive radial solutions for the quasilinear Schrödinger equation is obtained when b is large or equal to 0 and b is equal to 0 by the variational methods. Moreover, some properties are established as the parameter b tends to be 0.

Under the suitable assumptions on the constant b >= 0, we prove the existence of solutions for 0 < lambda <= lambda(1), where lambda(1)>0 is the first eigenvalue of -Delta on Omega. Moreover, we prove the multiplicity of solutions for lambda >lambda(1) and b>0 in suitable intervals.

For the sake of overcoming the technical difficulties caused by the quasilinear term, we shall apply the perturbation method by adding a 4-Laplacian operator to consider the perturbation problem. Moreover, when g satisfying suitable assumptions and sufficiently large μ, we take advantage of constraint variational method, the quantitative deformation lemma, Moser iteration and approximation technique to obtain a least-energy sign-changing solution , which has precisely two nodal domains.
