Abstract:Connected to the modern knowledge formation and institutional changes in the late Qing period, the revival of the Guwen Classics and the subsequent disputes between Guwen Classics and Jinwen Classics have always been academic focuses. Since the late Qing dynasty, ”Shu Learning” as an important school of Jinwen Classics, has become a center of the Chinese traditional learning. ”Sichuan Academy of Traditional Chinese Learning”, established at the beginning of the Republic of China and gathering together many scholars, witnessed the disputes between Liao Ping and Liu Shipei, the cultural phenomenon in modern Chinese academic field. We believe that the examination and review of the event is helpful to depict the tendency of Shu Learning and the change of Liu Shipei's research, to outline the transformation of the Jinwen-Guwen Classics at the beginning of the Republic of China.

Abstract:To Du Mu,the ninth year of Dahe was the key year.In this year,he was in the ups and downs of an official career.He had much to do with two political incidents:Revolution of Ganlu;Struggle between Niu Gang ang Li Gang.He pondered over the trend of the literary area through an intimate assciation with Li Shen and his views on the poems of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi.This paper studies the movements and thought of Du Mu in the year and comments on his political and literary thoughts.

Abstract:Li Shen's 46-line poem written after he encountered calumny in the Hanyuan was an important document about the contention between Niu and Li and the literature in Tang Dynasty. Although it was the poet's personal account of history, yet a lot of people and events were mentioned, especially the contention between the two different schools headed by Niu and Li. It is of great significance if we use this as a case to explore the relationship between the political events and literature in Tang Dynasty.

Abstract:Chen Duxiu's life is a legend,full of opposition,intensity,and subversion.The core of his idea is to clear up and reconstruct the relationship between "nation" and "nationals" during the thorough transition from empire to republic,and on that basis develop a modern country.By making a voice of time,he became the center of attention.By caring for the rising group of new youth,he won a large number of followers.Additionally by pioneering the transformations from nation to nationals and from politics to culture,Chen Duxiu,together with Hu Shih,replaced Kang Youwei and Liang Qichao to be the represents of the era.The responsibility of intellectuals changed him from a person who never discussed political affairs to participate in political revolutions,and even claim himself to be a politician for a long time.But in fact politics was not his advantage,and in the lonely later years he eventually returned to the academic circle.

Abstract:It is an importance part in Chen Duxiu 's thought that he had discoursed upon Sun Yatsen and the Three People's Principles.Chen set a high value on Sun Yatsen and the Three People's Principles during the Communist Party of China built and the Great Revolution in China(1924-1927)taken;In order to negate the rationalization that the political power of Kuomintang existed,Chen took total repudiation to the Three People's Principles that was regarded the leading thought by Kuomintang after the Great Revolution in China failed;after the war of Resistance Against Japan broke out,Chen spoke highly of Sun Yatsen and the Three People's Principles.

Abstract:From the late Qing Dynasty to the Republican period, there was a transition on the understanding of the relationship between China as a state and its localities. Local and national consciousness generally supported each other but were in conflict at times. In this essay the author intends to explore the reasons and influences of the Sichuan people’s criticism of the Chuanxing suoji ( Rambling Notes on Sichuan ) letter written by Chen Hengzhe, and analyze the interplay between local and national consciousness in the early days when the Nanjing government controlled Sichuan. The uproar caused by the article also showed the gap between mainstream intellectuals and peripheral intellectuals.

Abstract:Guiding by "Tao-xue in decline" narrative mode, Neo-Confucians take the action of compiling and publishing Cheng Brother's books as one of steps of rejuvenating Tao-xue. Although the actual number of how many Cheng Brother's books have been published is still not able to work out, but some arguments coming up during the process of compiling and publishing is not only the debating based on different academic opinions, but also concerns about the power of the explanation for the doctrine. In addition, reader's reading Cheng Brother's books can also be taken as another kind action of Tao-xue. Through this reading behavior, Tao-xue's form is not only to be extended, but also attains its new contents.

Abstract:The "court battle"in Beiyang Period,refers to the struggle between the presidential palace represented by President Li Yuanhong and the State Department represented by Duan Qirui.The struggle arose due to the indefinite obligation and limits of authority between President,Prime Minister and the Congress.Owning to Li Yuanhong and Duan Qirui’s different qualifications,bearing,character,and way of conducting social affairs,and Xu Shuzheng and Sun Hongyi’s pushing and pulling,the court struggle became more and more intense.At last,the struggle ended up with the resignation of Xu Shuzheng and Sun Hongyi.Accordingly,the separation of the three powers established in the Republic of China was destroyed.

Abstract:As to the transition of Ming-Qing Confucianism, the mind teaching turns to text criticism is the main idea accepted by the academic circle. However, it is doubtful, which may result in problems such as the process of the intuitive mind teaching turns to the intellectual text criticism. The transition of Ming-Qing Confucianism, in fact, is not the one line turning from mind teaching to text criticism. It includes two ways: one is the idea turning from mind teaching to Qi teaching; the other is the text criticism turning from the positive attitude towards mind teaching to the negative attitude towards it in the context of text criticism. Actually, the two turning ways result in the transition of Ming-Qing Confucianism. Here, we have to mention Chiao Hung. He opens a new face of mind teaching by adding the intellectual viewpoint and method coming from text criticism into it. Therefore, Chiao's teaching makes the two parallel turning ways converge at one point where the mind teaching and text criticism change the center of gravity.
