Abstract:Abstract In this paper, we introduce the Mus-Sasaki metric on the tangent bundle T M as a new natural metric non-rigid on T M . First we investigate the geometry of the Mus-Sasakian metrics and we characterize the sectional curvature and the scalar curvature.

Abstract:In this paper we describe some recent results on the geometry of the moduli space of Riemann surfaces. We surveyed new and classical metrics on the moduli spaces of hyperbolic Riemann surfaces and their geometric properties. We then discussed the Mumford goodness and generalized goodness of various metrics on the moduli spaces and their deformation invariance. By combining with the dual Nakano negativity of the Weil-Petersson metric we derive various consequences such that the infinitesimal rigidity, the Gauss-Bonnet theorem and the log Chern number computations.

Abstract:In this article we first show that any finite cover of the moduli space of closed Riemann surfaces of genus $g$ with $g\geq 2$ does not admit any Riemannian metric $ds^2$ of nonnegative scalar curvature such that $ds^2 \succ ds_{T}^2$ where $ds_{T}^2$ is the Teichm\"uller metric. Our second result is the proof that any cover $M$ of the moduli space $\mathbb{M}_{g}$ of a closed Riemann surface $S_{g}$ does not admit any complete Riemannian metric of uniformly positive scalar curvature in the quasi-isometry class of the Teichm\"uller metric, which implies a conjecture of Farb-Weinberger.

Abstract:We briefly survey our recent results about the Mumford goodness of several canonical metrics on the moduli spaces of Riemann surfaces, including the Weil-Petersson metric, the Ricci metric, the Perturbed Ricci metric and the Kahler-Einstein metric. We prove the dual Nakano negativity of the Weil-Petersson metric. As applications of these results we deduce certain important results about the L 2 -cohomology groups of the logarithmic tangent bundle over the compactified moduli spaces.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the geometry of the moduli space of curves by using the curvature properties of direct image sheaves of vector bundles. We show that the moduli space $(M_g, \omega_{WP})$ of curves with genus $g>1$ has dual-Nakano negative and semi-Nakano-negative curvature, and in particular, it has non-positive Riemannain curvature operator and also non-positive complex sectional curvature. As applications, we prove that any submanifold in $M_g$ which is totally geodesic in $A_g$ with finite volume must be a ball quotient. We also show that, on a Kodaira (deformation) surface, there is no K\"ahler metric with non-positive Riemannain sectional curvature although it possesses K\"ahler metrics with strictly negative holomorphic bisectional curvature.

Abstract:In this paper, first, we introduce the Berger-type deformed Sasaki metric on the cotangent bundle $T^{\ast}M$ over a Kählerian manifold $(M^{2m}, J, g)$ and investigate the Levi-Civita connection of this metric. Secondly, we present the unit cotangent bundle equipped with Berger-type deformed Sasaki metric, and we investigate the Levi-Civita connection. Finally, we study the geodesics on the cotangent bundle and on unit cotangent bundle with respect to the Berger-type deformed Sasaki metric.

The first objective is to investigate the curvature properties of the tangent bundle TM. The second objective is to explore conformal vector fields and Ricci, Yamabe, and gradient Ricci–Yamabe solitons on the tangent bundle TM according to the twisted Sasaki metric G.

Abstract:This paper aims to study the Berger type deformed Sasaki metric g BS on the second order tangent bundle T 2 M over a bi-Kählerian manifold M . The authors firstly find the Levi-Civita connection of the Berger type deformed Sasaki metric g BS and calculate all forms of Riemannian curvature tensors of this metric. Also, they study geodesics on the second order tangent bundle T 2 M and bi-unit second order tangent bundle , and characterize a geodesic of the bi-unit second order tangent bundle in terms of geodesic curvatures of its projection to the base. Finally, they present some conditions for a section σ : M → T 2 M to be harmonic and study the harmonicity of the different canonical projections and inclusions of ( T 2 M , g BS ). Moreover, they search the harmonicity of the Berger type deformed Sasaki metric g BS and the Sasaki metric g S with respect to each other.

Certain results on a semisymmetric P-Sasakian manifold, generalized recurrent P-Sasakian manifolds, and pseudo-symmetric P-Sasakian manifolds on TM are proved.

Abstract:Let $(M,g)$ be a Riemannian manifold. When $M$ is compact and the tangent bundle $TM$ is equipped with the Sasaki metric $g^s$, the only vector fields which define harmonic maps from $(M,g)$ to $(TM,g^s)$, are the parallel ones. The Sasaki metric, and other well known Riemannian metrics on $TM$, are particular examples of $g$-natural metrics. We equip $TM$ with an arbitrary Riemannian $g$-natural metric $G$, and investigate the harmonicity of a vector field $V$ of $M$, thought as a map from $(M,g)$ to $(TM,G)$. We then apply this study to the Reeb vector field and, in particular, to Hopf vector fields on odd-dimensional spheres.

Abstract:In this expository article we review the problem of finding Einstein metrics on compact K\"ahler manifolds and Sasaki manifolds. In the former half of this article we see that, in the K\"ahler case, the problem fits better with the notion of stability in Geometric Invariant Theory if we extend the problem to that of finding extremal K\"ahler metrics or constant scalar curvature K\"ahler (cscK) metrics. In the latter half of this paper we see that most of ideas in K\"ahler geometry extend to Sasaki geometry as transverse K\"ahler geometry. We also summarize recent results about the existence of toric Sasaki-Einstein metrics.

Abstract:We initiate a systematic study of the deformation theory of the second Einstein metric respectively the proper nearly structure of a 3-Sasaki manifold . We show that infinitesimal Einstein deformations for coincide with infinitesimal deformations for . The latter are showed to be parametrised by eigenfunctions of the basic Laplacian of g , with eigenvalue twice the Einstein constant of the 4-dimensional base orbifold, via an explicit differential operator. In terms of this parametrisation we determine those infinitesimal deformations which are unobstructed to second order.

Abstract:In a previous paper [BTF21] the authors employed the fiber join construction of Yamazaki [Yam99] together with the admissible construction of Apostolov, Calderbank, Gauduchon, and Tønnesen-Friedman [ACGTF08a] to construct new extremal Sasaki metrics on odd dimensional sphere bundles over smooth projective algebraic varieties. In the present paper we continue this study by applying a recent existence theorem [BHLTF23] that shows that under certain conditions one can always obtain a constant scalar curvature Sasaki metric in the Sasaki cone. Moreover, we explicitly describe this construction for certain sphere bundles of dimension 5 and 7.

Abstract:The objective of this paper is to explore the complete lifts of a quarter-symmetric metric connection from a Sasakian manifold to its tangent bundle. A relationship between the Riemannian connection and the quarter-symmetric metric connection from a Sasakian manifold to its tangent bundle was established. Some theorems on the curvature tensor and the projective curvature tensor of a Sasakian manifold with respect to the quarter-symmetric metric connection to its tangent bundle were proved. Finally, locally φ-symmetric Sasakian manifolds with respect to the quarter-symmetric metric connection to its tangent bundle were studied.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a broad class of metrics on the slit tangent bundle of Finsler manifolds, termed \emph{$F$-natural metrics}. These metrics parallel the well-established $g$-natural metrics on the tangent bundles of Riemannian manifolds and are constructed using six real functions defined over the domain of positive real numbers. We provide an in-depth characterization of conformal, homothetic, and Killing vector fields derived from specific lifts of vector fields and tensor sections on the slit tangent bundle, which is equipped with a general pseudo-Riemannian $F$-natural metric.

Abstract:Let $ (M, g) $ be an $ n $-dimensional (pseudo-)Riemannian manifold and $ TM $ be its tangent bundle $ TM $ equipped with the complete lift metric $ ^{C}g $. First, we define a Ricci quarter-symmetric metric connection $ \overline{\nabla } $ on the tangent bundle $ TM $ equipped with the complete lift metric $ ^{C}g $. Second, we compute all forms of the curvature tensors of $ \overline{\nabla } $ and study their properties. We also define the mean connection of $ \overline{\nabla } $. Ricci and gradient Ricci solitons are important topics studied extensively lately. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the tangent bundle $ TM $ to become a Ricci soliton and a gradient Ricci soliton concerning $ \overline{\nabla } $ are presented. Finally, we search conditions for the tangent bundle $ TM $ to be locally conformally flat with respect to $ \overline{\nabla } $.

Abstract:Let $M$ be an $n$-dimensional manifold with a torsion free affine connection $\nabla$ and let $T^*M$ be the cotangent bundle. In this paper, we consider some of the geometrical aspect of a twisted Riemannian extension which provide a link between the affine geometry of $(M,\nabla)$ and the neutral signature pseudo-Riemannian geometry of $T^*M$.
