Abstract:In this study, the effects of impact parameters and multi -particle agglomerates on the restitution coefficient , critical sticking velocity, energy dissipation and adhesion rate were investigated comprehensively. Firstly, by comparing the various forces that may affect powder adhesion, the adhesion mechanism between powders and bed particles in high -temperature fluidized bed is determined. Then the sticking and rebound behaviors are discussed. For single powder, the restitution coefficient can be divided into a rolling region and a rebounding region when impacting an inclined wall. But Poisson's ratio and Young's modulus have a weak effect on the restitution coefficient. For multi -particle agglomerates, the impacting behaviors are more complex, including normal collision, tangential collision, spin motion and rolling, which increase the adhesion rate. With the increase of the oblique angle or agglomerated particles, the viscoelastic loss is increased, but the restitution coefficient and critical sticking velocity are reduced. Compared to x -direction oblique collision, viscous loss is larger at z -direction oblique collision, approximately 10 % more at four -particle agglomerates, which promotes the impacting adhesion. More interestingly, the energy dissipation rate is the largest in three -particle agglomerates and the adhesion rate increases by 50 % when the agglomerated particle number changes from 2 to 3.
