Abstract:In order to quickly and precisely draw a satisfactory phase diagram of a ternary equilibrium system,this article has designed and implemented a computer drawing with MS Excel.It has a dynamic hint function for substances' component in the diagram region.For bi-phase curve,one can select polynomial fitting,and can cope with it section section as well.This drawing process is fast,convenient and flexible.

Abstract:We present two add-ons for Mathematica for teaching mathematics to undergraduate and high school students. These two applications, M@th Desktop (MD) and M@th Desktop Tools (MDTools), include several palettes and notebooks covering almost every field. The underlying didactic concept is so-called "blended learning", in which these tools are meant to be used as a complement to the professor or teacher rather than as a replacement, which other e-learning applications do. They enable students to avoid the usual problem of computer-based learning, namely that too large an amount of time is wasted struggling with computer and program errors instead of actually learning the mathematical concepts. M@th Desktop Tools is palette-based and provides easily accessible and user-friendly templates for the most important functions in the fields of Analysis, Algebra, Linear Algebra and Statistics. M@th Desktop, in contrast, is a modern, interactive teaching and learning software package for mathematics classes. It is comprised of modules for Differentiation, Integration, and Statistics, and each module presents its topic with a combination of interactive notebooks and palettes. Both packages can be obtained from Deltasoft's homepage at http://www.deltasoft.at/ .

Abstract:It is necessary to use libraries of parts when using CAD software. But, deficiencies and problems exist in most libraries, so we developed a part management system called GS-PM. Based on features, but not geometric information, it not only improves efficiency but also enables some applications of higher levels, for instance, the parts can be used in different CAD software. This part library can work in client/server mode to share information. It can also be applied to establish a customized visual part library (a Web part library), which can build parts dynamically according to the user's needs

MaRGA: a Graphical and Application Interface for MaRCoS

Abstract:The open-source console MaRCoS, which stands for "Magnetic Resonance Control System", combines hardware, firmware and software elements for integral control of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners. Previous developments have focused on making the system robust and reliable, rather than on users, who have been somewhat overlooked. This work describes a Graphical User Interface (GUI) designed for intuitive control of MaRCoS, as well as compatibility with clinical environments. The GUI is based on an uncomplicated set of panels and a renewed Application Program Interface (API). Compared to the previous versions, the MaRGA package ("MaRCoS Graphical Application") includes new functionalities such as the possibility to export images to standard DICOM formats, create and manage clinical protocols, or display and process image reconstructions, among other features conceived to simplify the operation of MRI scanners. All prototypes in our facilities are commanded by MaRCoS and operated with the new GUI. Here we report on its performance on an experimental 0.2 T scanner designed for hard-tissue imaging, as well as a 72~mT portable scanner presently installed in the radiology department of a large hospital. The possibility to customize, adapt and streamline processes has substantially improved our workflows and overall experience.

The Mental Canvas: A Tool for Conceptual Architectural Design and Analysis.

Abstract:We describe a computer graphics system that supports conceptual architectural design and analysis. We use as a starting point the traditional sketchbook drawings that architects use to experiment with various views, sections, and details. Rather than interpret or infer 3D structure from drawings, our system is designed to allow the designer to organize concept drawings in 3D, and gradually fuse a series of possibly geometrically-inconsistent sketches into a set of 3D strokes. Our system uses strokes and planar "canvases" as basic primitives; the basic mode of input is traditional 2D drawing. We introduce methods for the user to control stroke visibility and transfer strokes between canvases. We also introduce methods for the user to position and orient the canvases that have infinite extent. We demonstrate the use of the system to analyze existing structures and conceive new designs.

Abstract:The information technology explosion has dramatically increased the application of areas of mathematics traditionally labeled ?pure” or ?theoretical” to wide ranges of fields, which has created a critical need to make abstract mathematics readily accessible to a broader community. This paper presents a method for categorizing and diagramming mathematical structures that enable students and professionals to rapidly understand relationships among and between mathematical structures. This paper also presents 11 maps diagramming 187 mathematical structures through the method described in the paper.

Abstract:Abstract One challenge with design automation is system transparency with adjustable granularity because of the many different forms of representation from multiple disciplines. Previous research has focused on visualization through the generation of graphs, packaging into electronic books, and model highlighting. The research presented in this paper focuses instead on a visual programming approach, commonly applied in the building industry, where design assets and external references are wrapped into visual components and managed on a canvas with information input/output relations displayed. This entails additional documentation efforts, but the visualization is arguably more useful as groups and levels of granularity are adjusted by the engineers themselves as a part of the development work. To explore visual programming and its potential benefits as a way of enabling transparency with adjustable granularity of DA systems within mechanical manufacturing industry, an existing textual design automation system was transformed into a visual one using Grasshopper® (a visual programming environment) and discussed with respect to DA system transparency, feature-based CAD, and DA system development.

Abstract:LevelScheme is a scientific figure preparation system for Mathematica. The main emphasis is upon the construction of level schemes, or level energy diagrams, as used in nuclear, atomic, molecular, and hadronic physics. LevelScheme also provides a general infrastructure for the preparation of publication-quality figures, including support for multipanel and inset plotting, customizable tick mark generation, and various drawing and labeling tasks. Multi-dimensional visualisation of laboratory findings and functional test results for analysing the clinical course of disease in medicine

Abstract:The illustration of a patient's history by a graphical primitive is discussed. Illustration technology is presented which simultaneously represents quantitative examination findings (e.g., laboratory values) and qualitative findings (e.g., from function diagnostics) by a single geometrical figure. Depending on the medical results, this figure takes on characteristic forms which can be identified as patterns typical for a specific disease. The procedure developed is integrated in a user interface which is implemented in the form of a computerized medical record for use on a pentop computer. This portable computer assists the physician during ward rounds, supplies additional, intelligence-based information, serves quality control, and streamlines working procedures making them more efficient.
GraphiMind: LLM-centric Interface for Information Graphics Design

Abstract:Information graphics are pivotal in effective information dissemination and storytelling. However, creating such graphics is extremely challenging for non-professionals, since the design process requires multifaceted skills and comprehensive knowledge. Thus, despite the many available authoring tools, a significant gap remains in enabling non-experts to produce compelling information graphics seamlessly, especially from scratch. Recent breakthroughs show that Large Language Models (LLMs), especially when tool-augmented, can autonomously engage with external tools, making them promising candidates for enabling innovative graphic design applications. In this work, we propose a LLM-centric interface with the agent GraphiMind for automatic generation, recommendation, and composition of information graphics design resources, based on user intent expressed through natural language. Our GraphiMind integrates a Textual Conversational Interface, powered by tool-augmented LLM, with a traditional Graphical Manipulation Interface, streamlining the entire design process from raw resource curation to composition and refinement. Extensive evaluations highlight our tool's proficiency in simplifying the design process, opening avenues for its use by non-professional users. Moreover, we spotlight the potential of LLMs in reshaping the domain of information graphics design, offering a blend of automation, versatility, and user-centric interactivity.

Diagram Control and Model Order for Sugiyama Layouts

Abstract:Graphical WYSIWYG editors programming languages are popular since they allow to control the diagram layout to express intention via secondary notation such as proximity and topology. However, such editors typically require users to do manual layout. Conversely, automatic layout of diagrams typically fails to capture intention because graphs are usually considered to not contain any order. Model order can combine the desire for control of secondary notation with automatic layout, without additional overhead, since the textual model already employs secondary notation. We illustrate how model order can exert control on the example of programming languages SCCharts and Lingua Franca. We also propose a first guidebook how such model order configurations can be extracted for other programming languages with a graphical notation.

Abstract:PSD (Programma le Structured Document) is a framework in which structured documents are edited efficiently and safely by evaluating embedded codes in themselves. Justsytem's xfy has a technology called Vocabulary Connection, which supports creating and editing source XML documents on the HTML view. Combining these two technologies allows us to produce an environment to support creating XML-based interactive teaching materials, which generate some outputs dynamically according to user's inputs. The way to produce the environment is explained and the usefulness of this tool is demonstrated by an example of an XML-based exam paper.

Abstract:Abstract This study aims to develop multimedia teaching materials based on PBL using 3D Professional Pageflip on geometry material, and determine the effectiveness of PBL-based multimedia teaching materials using 3D Professional Pageflip on geometry material. This research is a development research with the research process using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.Validation was carried out by material experts and media experts with individual test subjects, namely 2 mathematics teachers, small group trial subjects consisted of 6 students, and large group trials namely students of XIPA2 class of SMAN 5 Jambi City. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires for evaluating material experts and media experts, teacher and student responses questionnaires, student perception questionnaires and student learning outcomes tests.From the results of the post-test analysis conducted at the end of the learning activities obtained 90.32% of the students achieved the minimum completeness criteria, the results of the analysis of the student perception questionnaire showed the category of "very positive" besides based on observations of students' attitudes during the learning process positive and high enthusiasm in participating in learning activities. This means that multimedia teaching materials that are made effective are used for the learning process.
