Abstract:We establish computational results concerning the Lagrangian capacity, originally defined by Cieliebak-Mohnke. More precisely, we show that the Lagrangian capacity of a 4-dimensional convex toric domain is equal to its diagonal. Working under the assumption that there is a suitable virtual perturbation scheme which defines the curve counts of linearized contact homology, we extend the previous result to any convex or concave toric domain. This result gives a positive answer to a conjecture of Cieliebak-Mohnke for the Lagrangian capacity of the ellipsoid.

Abstract:The infimum of the spectral capacities of neighbourhoods of a nowhere coisotropic submanifold is shown to be zero. In contrast, neighbourhoods of a closed Lagrangian submanifold, and of certain contact-type hypersurfaces, are shown to have uniformly positive spectral capacity. Along the way we prove a quantitative Lagrangian control estimate relating spectral invariants, boundary depth, and the minimal area of holomorphic disks. The Lagrangian control also provides novel obstructions to certain Lagrangian embeddings into a symplectic ball.

Abstract:The author provedTheorems 1.1–1.3 in [3] for not necessarily torus-invariant divisors on toric varieties in positive characteristic. Recently, an anonymous referee provided the following example to show that Theorem 1.1 does not necessarily hold for non torus-invariant divisors, which means that the arguments of [3] are erroneous. Example 1 Let X = P2, D ⊆ X a smooth projective curve of degree d ≥ 4, and L = OX (1). Then the cohomology exact sequence associated to the short exact sequence 0 → X ⊗ L → X (log D)⊗ L → OD ⊗ L → 0 together with the standard Bott vanishing for P2 show that H1(X, X (log D)⊗ L) ∼= H1(X, L|D). Then the cohomology exact sequence associated to the short exact sequence 0 → OX (−d + 1) → OX (1) → OD(1) → 0 shows that H1(X, L|D) ∼= H(X,OX (−d + 1)), which is nonzero as d ≥ 4. Therefore H1(X, X (log D) ⊗ L) = 0, which implies that Theorem 1.1 in [3] does not necessarily hold for non torus-invariant divisors on toric varieties in arbitrary characteristic.

Abstract:We show that on the unit disc cotangent bundle of flat Riemannian tori, all normalized capacities coincide with twice the systole. The same result holds for flat, reversible Finsler tori and normalized capacities that are greater than or equal to the Hofer-Zehnder capacity.

Abstract:The SYZ conjecture suggests a folklore that “Lagrangian multi-sections are mirror to holomorphic vector bundles”. In this paper, we prove this folklore for Lagrangian multi-sections inside the cotangent bundle of a vector space, which are equivariantly mirror to complete toric varieties by the work of Fang-Liu-Treumann-Zaslow. We also introduce the Lagrangian realization problem, which asks whether one can construct an unobstructed Lagrangian multi-section with asymptotic conditions prescribed by a tropical Lagrangian multi-section. We solve the realization problem for tropical Lagrangian multi-sections over a complete 2-dimensional fan that satisfy the so-called N-generic condition. As an application, we show that every rank 2 toric vector bundle on the projective plane is mirror to a Lagrangian multi-section.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the Floer theory of equivariant Lagrangian correspondences and apply it to deduce a conjecture of Teleman, which finds the relation between the disc potential of an invariant Lagrangian submanifold and that of its quotient. A main step is to extend Fukaya's construction of an $A_\infty$ tri-module for Lagrangian correspondences to Borel spaces. We find that the equivariant obstruction of a Lagrangian correspondence plays an essential role, which leads to quantum corrections in the disc potentials of quotients. We solve the obstruction in the toric setup and find the relation with mirror maps for compact semi-Fano toric manifolds.

Abstract:We study the spectral gap for transfer operators of the skew product F : T-d x T-l -> T-d x T-l given by F(x,y) = (Tx,y + tau (x) (mod Z(l))), where T : T-d -> T-d is a C-infinity uniformly expanding endomorphism, and the fiber map tau : T-d -> R-l is a C-infinity map. We construct a Hilbert space W-s for any s < 0, which contains all the Holder functions of Milder exponents |s| on T-d x T-l. Applying the method of semiclassical analysis, we obtain the dichotomy: either the transfer operator has a spectral gap on W-s, or tau is an essential coboundary. In the former case, F mixes exponentially fast for Milder observables with Holder exponents |s|; and in the latter case, either F is not weak mixing and it is semiconjugate to a circle rotation, or F is unstably mixing, i.e. it can be approximated by non-mixing skew products.

We provide partial answers to this question by exploiting the distribution of integer points on spheres, basic properties of polynomials, and Nazarov--Turán type estimates for exponential polynomials. Abstract:Our main result is the $\mathcal{C}^0$-rigidity of the area spectrum and the Maslov class of Lagrangian submanifolds. This relies on the existence of punctured pseudoholomorphic discs in cotangent bundles with boundary on the zero section, whose boundaries represent any integral homology class. We discuss further applications of these punctured discs in symplectic geometry.

Abstract:For an integrable Hamiltonian systems with $d$ degrees of freedom ($d\geq 2$), we consider quantitatively the existence and non-existence of the flow-invariant Lagrangian torus with given frequency under the perturbation beyond the scope of the classical KAM method in the $C^r$ topology. As applications, the non-existence result gives a partial answer to an open problem on non-existence of invariant circles by Mather from 1988. The existence result sheds a light on another open problem on the existence of invariant circles with lower regularity by Mather from 1998.

Abstract:We investigate the question of whether the spectral metric on the orbit space of a fiber in the disk cotangent bundle of a closed manifold, under the action of the compactly supported Hamiltonian diffeomorphism group, is bounded. We utilize wrapped Floer cohomology to define the spectral invariant of an admissible Lagrangian submanifold within a Weinstein domain. We show that the pseudo-metric derived from this spectral invariant is a valid Ham -invariant metric. Furthermore, we establish that the spectral metric on the orbit space of an admissible Lagrangian is bounded if and only if the wrapped Floer cohomology vanishes. Consequently, we prove that the Lagrangian Hofer diameter of the orbit space for any fiber in the disk cotangent bundle of a closed manifold is infinite.
