Abstract:The central fiber of a Gross-Siebert type toric degeneration is known to satisfy homological mirror symmetry: its category of coherent sheaves is equivalent to the wrapped Fukaya category of a certain exact symplectic manifold. Here we show that, in the Calabi-Yau case, the images of line bundles are represented by Lagrangian spheres.

Abstract:In this paper we study Lagrangian Floer theory on toric manifolds from the point of view of mirror symmetry. We construct a natural isomorphism between the Frobenius manifold structures of the (big) quantum cohomology of the toric manifold and of Saito's theory of singularities of the potential function constructed in [Fukaya, Tohoku Math. J. 63 (2011)] via the Floer cohomology deformed by ambient cycles. Our proof of the isomorphism involves the open-closed Gromov-Witten theory of one-loop.

Abstract:Motivated by recent developments in the construction of Newton--Okounkov bodies and toric degenerations via cluster algebras in [GHKK18, FO20], we consider a family of Newton--Okounkov polytopes of a complex smooth projective variety $X$ related by a composition of tropicalized cluster mutations. According to the work of [HK15], the toric degeneration associated with each Newton--Okounkov polytope $\Delta$ in the family produces a Lagrangian torus fibration of $X$ over $\Delta$. We investigate circumstances in which each Lagrangian torus fibration possesses a monotone Lagrangian torus fiber. We provide a sufficient condition, based on the data of tropical integer points and exchange matrices, for the family of constructed monotone Lagrangian tori to contain infinitely many monotone Lagrangian tori, no two of which are related by any symplectomorphisms. By employing this criterion and exploiting the correspondence between the tropical integer points and the dual canonical basis elements, we generate infinitely many distinct monotone Lagrangian tori on flag manifolds of arbitrary type except in a few cases.

Abstract:This is a continuation of part I in the series of the papers on Lagrangian Floer theory on toric manifolds. Using the deformations of Floer cohomology by the ambient cycles, which we call bulk deformations, we find a continuum of non-displaceable Lagrangian fibers on some compact toric manifolds. We also provide a method of finding all fibers with non-vanishing Floer cohomology with bulk deformations in arbitrary compact toric manifolds, which we call bulk-balanced Lagrangian fibers.

Abstract:We study and construct maps to toric varieties. In the process, we generalize torus embeddings to the non-projective case. Moreover, we give an analog of Cox's construction of toric varieties as GIT quotients of affine spaces for the non-normal case after T. Kajiwara. The main focus of the paper is an application to toric degenerations, (proper) families whose special fibers are not-necessarily-normal toric varieties. We give a negative answer to a question of I. Dolgachev and K. Kaveh as to whether a toric degeneration can be constructed as a degeneration by projection. In the classical topology over the complex numbers, we recover an alternative construction of integral systems as was done by Harada--Kaveh in M. Harada and K. Kaveh. "Integrable systems, toric degenerations and okounkov bodie" using a deformation retract. In particular, we have an analogue of a moment map from a variety admitting a toric degeneration to its Newton--Okounkov polytope.

Abstract:An irrational toric variety X is an analytic subset of the simplex associated to a finite configuration of real vectors. The positive torus acts on X by translation, and we consider limits of sequences of these translations. Our main result identifies all possible Hausdorff limits of translations of X as toric degenerations using elementary methods and the geometry of the secondary fan of the vector configuration. This generalizes work of Garcia-Puente et al., who used algebraic geometry and work of Kapranov, Sturmfels, and Zelevinsky, when the vectors were integral.

Abstract:We consider a toric degeneration $\mathcal{X}$ of Calabi--Yau complete intersections of Batyrev--Borisov in the Gross--Siebert program. For the toric degeneration $\mathcal{X}$, we study the real Monge--Ampère equation corresponding to the non-archimedean Monge--Ampère equation that yields the non-archimedean Calabi--Yau metric. Our main theorem describes the real Monge--Ampère equation in terms of tropical geometry and proves the metric SYZ conjecture for the toric degeneration $\mathcal{X}$ supposing the existence of its solution.

Torus-equivariantly embedded toric manifolds associated to affine subspaces

Abstract:We study the closure of a complex subtorus in a toric manifold. If the closure of the complex subtorus is a smooth complex submanifold in the toric manifold, then the subtorus action on such submanifold is Hamiltonian. In this case, we may think of the embedding of the submanifold as torus-equivariant. We show that the image of the moment map for the Hamiltonian subtorus action on our submanifold coincides with the image of the Delzant polytope of the ambient toric manifold under the pullback of the inclusion of the tori. The submanifolds constructed in the present paper are called torus-equivariantly embedded toric manifolds with respect to the subtorus action.

Abstract:Spectral networks and non-abelianization were introduced by Gaiotto-Moore-Neitzke and they have many applications in mathematics and physics. In a recent work by Nho, he proved that the non-abelianization of an almost flat local system over the spectral curve of a meromorphic quadratic differential is the same as the family Floer construction. Based on the mirror symmetry philosophy, it is then natural to ask how holomorphic vector bundles arise from spectral networks and non-abelianization. In this paper, we construct toric vector bundles on complete toric surfaces via spectral networks and non-abelianization arising from Lagrangian multi-sections. As an application, we deduce that the moduli space of rank 2 toric vector bundles over toric surfaces admit an $A$-type $\mathcal{X}$-cluster structure.

Abstract:The SYZ conjecture suggests a folklore that “Lagrangian multi-sections are mirror to holomorphic vector bundles”. In this paper, we prove this folklore for Lagrangian multi-sections inside the cotangent bundle of a vector space, which are equivariantly mirror to complete toric varieties by the work of Fang-Liu-Treumann-Zaslow. We also introduce the Lagrangian realization problem, which asks whether one can construct an unobstructed Lagrangian multi-section with asymptotic conditions prescribed by a tropical Lagrangian multi-section. We solve the realization problem for tropical Lagrangian multi-sections over a complete 2-dimensional fan that satisfy the so-called N-generic condition. As an application, we show that every rank 2 toric vector bundle on the projective plane is mirror to a Lagrangian multi-section.

Semi-Local Exotic Lagrangian Tori in Dimension Four

Abstract:We study exotic Lagrangian tori in dimension four. In certain Stein domains $B_{dpq}$ (which naturally appear in almost toric fibrations) we find $d+1$ families of monotone Lagrangian tori which are mutually distinct, up to symplectomorphisms. We prove that these remain distinct under embeddings of $B_{dpq}$ into geometrically bounded symplectic four-manifolds. We show that there are infinitely many different such embeddings when $X$ is compact and (almost) toric and hence conclude that $X$ contains arbitrarily many Lagrangian tori which are distinct up to symplectomorphisms of $X$. In dimension four arbitrarily many different Lagrangian tori were previously known only in del Pezzo surfaces. Neither the embedded tori, nor the ambient space $X$ needs to be monotone for our methods to work.

Singular Lagrangian torus fibrations on the smoothing of algebraic cones

Abstract:Given a lattice polytope $Q\subset \mathbb{R}^n$, we can consider the cone $\sigma=C(Q)=\{\lambda(q,1)\in \mathbb{R}^{n+1}|\lambda \in \mathbb{R}_{\geq0}, q\in Q\} \subset \mathbb{R}^{n+1}$, and the affine toric variety $Y_{\sigma}$ associated to $\sigma$. Altmann showed that the versal deformation space of $Y_\sigma$ can be described by the Minkowski decomposition of the polytope $Q$. Under some conditions on $Q$, we can obtain a smooth deformation $Y_\epsilon$ of $Y_\sigma$ using Altmann's result. In this article, we consider $Y_\epsilon$ inside some $\mathbb{C}^N$ and construct a complex fibration on $Y_\epsilon$, with general fibre $(\mathbb{C}^*)^n$ and finite singular fibres described using global coordinates related to the components of the Minkowski decomposition. We construct a singular Lagrangian torus fibration out of the complex fibration. This singular fibration admits a convex base diagram representation with cuts as a natural generalization of base diagrams described by Symington for Almost Toric Fibrations ($\dim=4$). In particular, we obtain a convex base diagram whose image is the dual cone of $C(Q)$. There is a 1-parameter family of monotone Lagrangian tori in each of these fibrations. Using the wall-crossing formula, we describe the potential associated with this family in terms of the Minkowski decomposition of $Q$, recovering the result of Lau, and discuss non-displaceability. We also discuss some other consequences of our results.

Abstract:We use exact Lagrangian fillings and Weinstein handlebody diagrams to construct infinitely many distinct exact Lagrangian tori in $4$-dimensional Milnor fibers of isolated hypersurface singularities with positive modality. We also provide a generalization of a criterion for when the symplectic homology of a Weinstein $4$-manifold is non-vanishing given an explicit Weinstein handlebody diagrams.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of tropical Lagrangian multi-sections over a fan and study its relation with toric vector bundles. We also introduce a "SYZ-type" construction for toric vector bundles which gives a reinterpretation of Kaneyama's linear algebra data. In dimension 2, such "mirror-symmetric" approach provides us a pure combinatorial condition for checking which rank 2 tropical Lagrangian multi-section arises from toric vector bundles.

Abstract:To a conical symplectic resolution with Hamiltonian torus action, Braden--Proudfoot--Licata--Webster associate a category O, defined using deformation quantization (DQ) modules. It has long been expected, though not stated precisely in the literature, that category O also admits a "Betti-type" realization as the Fukaya--Seidel category of a Lefschetz fibration. In this paper, we confirm that the category O associated to a toric hyperkähler manifold is equivalent to the partially wrapped Fukaya category of a Liouville manifold stopped by the fiber of a J-holomorphic moment map. The proof involves relating earlier DQ-module computations to a new computation of microlocal perverse sheaves. Leveraging known results on (de Rham) hypertoric category O, we deduce several Floer-theoretic consequences, including formality of simple objects and Koszul duality for the (fully) wrapped Fukaya category; conversely, by applying results about microlocal sheaves, we produce a relative Calabi-Yau structure on category O.

Abstract:We show that the isolated invariant branches globalize to algebraic curves, when we consider weak toric type complex hyperbolic foliations on projective toric ambient surfaces. To do it, we pass through a characterization of weak toric type foliations in terms of "non-degeneracy" conditions, associated to Newton polygons. We also give a description of the relationship between invariant algebraic curves and isolated invariant branches, valid for the case of toric type, by means of the following dichotomy. Either there is a rational first integral and there are no isolated invariant branches or we have only finitely many global invariant curves, all of them extending isolated invariant branches.
