Abstract:In this paper we attempt to develop a general p-Bergman theory on bounded domains in C-n. To indicate the basic difference between L-p and L-2 cases, we show that the p-Bergman kernel K-p(z) is not real-analytic on some bounded complete Reinhardt domains when p > 4is an even number. By the calculus of variations we get a fundamental reproducing formula. This together with certain techniques from nonlinear analysis of the p-Laplacian yield a number of results, e.g., the off-diagonal p-Bergman kernel K-p(z, center dot) is Holder continuous of order 1/2 for p > 1and of order 1/2(n+2) for p = 1. We also show that the p-Bergman metric Bp(z; X) tends to the Caratheodory metric C(z; X) as p -> infinity and the generalized Levi form i partial derivative(partial derivative) over bar logK(p)(z; X) is no less than B-p(z; X)(2) for p >= 2 and C(z; X)(2) for p <= 2. Stability of K-p( z, w) or B-p(z; X) as pvaries, boundary behavior of K-p( z), as well as basic facts on the p-Bergman projection, are also investigated. (c) 2022 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
Some properties of the $p-$Bergman kernel and metric

Abstract: The $p-$Bergman kernel $K_p(\cdot)$ is shown to be of $C^{1,1/2}$ for $1<p<\infty$. An unexpected relation between the off-diagonal $p-$Bergman kernel $K_p(\cdot,z)$ and certain weighted $L^2$ Bergman kernel is given for $1\le p\le 2$. As applications, we show that for each $1\le p\le 2$, $K_p(\cdot,z)\in L^q(\Omega)$ for $q< \frac{2pn}{2n-\alpha(\Omega)}$ and $|K_s(z)-K_p(z)| \lesssim |s-p||\log |s-p||$ whenever the hyperconvexity index $\alpha(\Omega)$ is positive. Counterexamples for $2<p<\infty$ are given respectively. An optimal upper bound for the holomorphic sectional curvature of the $p-$Bergman metric when $2\le p<\infty$ is obtained. For bounded $C^2$ domains, it is shown that the Hardy space and the Bergman space satisfy $H^p(\Omega)\subset A^q(\Omega)$ where $q=p(1+\frac1n)$. A new concept so-called the $p-$Schwarz content is introduced. As applications, upper bounds of the Banach-Mazur distance between $p-$Bergman spaces are given, and $A^p(\Omega)$ is shown to be non-Chebyshev in $L^p(\Omega)$ for $0<p\le 1$. For planar domains, we obtain a rigidity theorem for the $p-$Bergman kernel (which is not valid in high dimensional cases), and a characterization of non-isolated boundary points through completeness of the Narasimhan-Simha metric.

Abstract:In this paper, we first answer Chen-Zhang's problem on $p$-Bergman metric proposed in \cite{CZ22}. Second, we prove the off-diagonal p-Bergman kernel function $K_p(z,w)$ is Hölder continuous of order (1-$\varepsilon$) about the second component when $p>1$ for any $\varepsilon>0$, which improves the corresponding result of Chen-Zhang. Moreover, we prove the asymptotic behavior of the maximizer of $p$-Bergman kernel as $p\rightarrow 1^-$. Finally, we give a characterization of a class of holomorphic functions on $\mathbb{B}^1$ to be $L^p$-integrable.

Abstract:We show that the $p-$Bergman kernel $K_p(z)$ on a bounded domain $\Omega$ is of locally $C^{1,1}$ for $p\geq1$.The proof is based on the locally Lipschitz continuity of the off-diagonal $p-$Bergman kernel $K_p(\zeta,z)$ for fixed $\zeta\in \Omega$. Global irregularity of $K_p(\zeta,z)$ is presented for some smooth strongly pseudoconvex domains when $p\gg 1$. As an application of the local $C^{1,1}-$regularity, an upper estimate for the Levi form of $\log K_p(z)$ for $1<p<2$ is provided. Under the condition that the hyperconvexity index of $\Omega$ is positive, we obtain the log-Lipschitz continuity of $p\mapsto{K_p(z)}$ for $1\leq{p}\leq2$.

Abstract:We investigate Bergman type operators on the complex unit ball, which are singular integral operators induced by the modified Bergman kernel. We consider the L-p-L-q boundedness and compactness of Bergman type operators. The results of boundedness can be viewed as the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev (HLS) type theorem in the case unit ball. We also give some sharp norm estimates of Bergman type operators which in fact gives the upper bounds of the optimal constants in the HLS type inequality on the unit ball. Moreover, a trace formula is given.

Abstract:Let $\mathbb{B}^d$ be the unit ball on the complex space $\mathbb{C}^d$ with normalized Lebesgue measure $dv.$ For $\alpha\in\mathbb{R},$ denote $k_\alpha(z,w)=\frac{1}{(1-\langle z,w\rangle)^\alpha},$ the Bergman-type integral operator $K_\alpha$ on $L^1(\mathbb{B}^d,dv)$ is defined by $$ K_\alpha f(z)=\int_{\mathbb{B}^d}k_\alpha(z,w)f(w)dv(w).$$ It is an important class of operators in the holomorphic function space theory over the unit ball. We also consider the integral operator $K_\alpha^+$ on $L^1(\mathbb{B}^d,dv)$ which is given by $$ K_\alpha^+ f(z)=\int_{\mathbb{B}^d}\vert k_\alpha(z,w)\vert f(w)dv(w).$$ In this paper, we completely characterize the $L^p$-$L^q$ boundedness of $K_\alpha,K_\alpha^+$ and $L^p$-$L^q$ compactness of $K_\alpha.$ The results of boundedness are in fact the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev theorem but also prove the conjecture of G. Cheng et al [Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. (2017), MR3710638 ] in the case of bounded domain $\mathbb{B}^d.$ Meanwhile, a trace formula and some sharp norm estimates of $K_\alpha,K_\alpha^+$ are given.

Abstract:We confirm, in dimension two, Blocki's conjectures on sharp lower bounds for Bergman kernels of tube domains. To that end, we verify a broader class of $L^p$-Mahler conjectures due to Berndtsson and the authors, where $p=1$ are Blocki's conjecture, and $p=\infty$ are Mahler's conjectures. The proofs are technically challenging as the $L^p$-Mahler volume is considerably harder to deal with analytically compared to Mahler's volume, and furthermore duality is lost. In addition, unlike in the classical Mahler setting, the non-symmetric setting is considerably more involved than the symmetric one. The proofs involve studying the effect of Mahler's classical sliding of vertices on two-dimensional polytopes on the $L^p$-polar body (no longer a polytope). Some arguments are inspired by works of Campi--Gronchi and Meyer--Reisner on volumes of classical polar bodies of shadow systems. In passing, we also explore how Mahler's sliding affects the isotropic constant. This leads to an elementary proof of Bourgain's strong hyperplane conjectures in dimension two, originally due to Bisztriczky--Böröczky, Campi--Colesanti--Gronchi and Meckes. Specifically, we show that, as a function of the sliding parameter, the isotropic constant raised to an appropriate power is a convex quadratic polynomial.

Abstract:For $1<p<\infty$, we emulate the Bergman projection on Reinhardt domains by using a Banach-space basis of $L^p$-Bergman space. The construction gives an integral kernel generalizing the ($L^2$) Bergman kernel. The operator defined by the kernel is shown to be absolutely bounded projection on the $L^p$-Bergman space on a class of domains where the $L^p$-boundedness of the Bergman projection fails for certain $p \neq 2$. As an application, we identify the duals of these $L^p$-Bergman spaces with weighted Bergman spaces.

Abstract:We give first of all a new criterion for Bergman completeness in terms of the pluricomplex Green function. Among several applications, we prove in particular that every Stein subvariety in a complex manifold admits a Bergman complete Stein neighborhood basis, which improves a theorem of Siu. Secondly, we give for hyperbolic Riemann surfaces a sufficient condition for when the Bergman and Poincaré metrics are quasi-isometric. A consequence is an equivalent characterization of uniformly perfect planar domains in terms of growth rates of the Bergman kernel and metric. Finally, we provide a noncompact Bergman complete pseudoconvex manifold without nonconstant negative plurisubharmonic functions.

Abstract:Let M be a closed complex submanifold in $${\mathbb {C}}^N$$ with the complete Kähler metric induced by the Euclidean metric. Several finiteness theorems on the $$L^p$$ Bergman space of holomorphic sections of a given Hermitian line bundle L over M and the associated $$L^2$$ cohomology groups are obtained. Some infiniteness theorems are also given in order to test the accuracy of finiteness theorems. As applications we obtain some rigidity results concerning growth of curvatures.
