Abstract:Using the techniques developed in \cite{SunSun}, we give estimations of the Bergman kernel of the punctured disk with the standard complete Poincar\'{e} metric. As an application, we improve the result of \cite{AMM} on the Bergman kernels of punctured Riemann surfaces near singularities.

This work aims to generalize the Suita type results to potential-theoretically parabolic Riemann surfaces.

Abstract:We show the asymptotics of the Bergman kernel function near the smooth divisor at infinity of the Cheng-Yau metric on quasi-projective manifolds. In particular, we show that there is a quantum phenomenon for the points very close to the divisor at infinity.

Abstract:Let G be a bounded Jordan domain in the complex plane with piecewise analytic boundary. We present theoretical estimates and numerical evidence for certain phenomena, regarding the application of the Bergman kernel method with algebraic and pole singular basis functions, for approximating the conformal mapping of G onto the normalized disk. In this way, we complete the task of providing full theoretical justification of this method.

Abstract:It is well known that for a Brownian motion, if we change the medium to be inhomogeneous by a measure μ , then the new motion (the time-changed process) will diffuse according to a different metric D (·,·). In 2009, Kigami initiated a general scheme to construct such metrics through some self-similar weight functions g on the symbolic space. In order to provide concrete models to Kigami’s theoretical construction, in this paper, we give a thorough study of his metric on two classes of fractals of primary importance: the nested fractals and the generalized Sierpinski carpets; we assume further that the weight functions g ≔ g a are generated by “symmetric” weights a . Let M be the domain of a such that D ga defines a metric, and let S be the boundary of M . One of our main results is that the metrics from g a satisfy the metric chain condition if and only if a ∈ S. To determine M and S , we provide a recursive weight transfer construction on the nested fractals, and a basic symmetric argument on the Sierpinski carpet. As an application, we use the metric chain condition to obtain the lower estimate of the sub-Gaussian heat kernel. This together with the upper estimate obtained by Kigami allows us to have a concrete class of metrics for the time change, and the two-sided sub-Gaussian heat kernel estimate on the fundamental fractals.
Some properties of the $p-$Bergman kernel and metric

Abstract: The $p-$Bergman kernel $K_p(\cdot)$ is shown to be of $C^{1,1/2}$ for $1<p<\infty$. An unexpected relation between the off-diagonal $p-$Bergman kernel $K_p(\cdot,z)$ and certain weighted $L^2$ Bergman kernel is given for $1\le p\le 2$. As applications, we show that for each $1\le p\le 2$, $K_p(\cdot,z)\in L^q(\Omega)$ for $q< \frac{2pn}{2n-\alpha(\Omega)}$ and $|K_s(z)-K_p(z)| \lesssim |s-p||\log |s-p||$ whenever the hyperconvexity index $\alpha(\Omega)$ is positive. Counterexamples for $2<p<\infty$ are given respectively. An optimal upper bound for the holomorphic sectional curvature of the $p-$Bergman metric when $2\le p<\infty$ is obtained. For bounded $C^2$ domains, it is shown that the Hardy space and the Bergman space satisfy $H^p(\Omega)\subset A^q(\Omega)$ where $q=p(1+\frac1n)$. A new concept so-called the $p-$Schwarz content is introduced. As applications, upper bounds of the Banach-Mazur distance between $p-$Bergman spaces are given, and $A^p(\Omega)$ is shown to be non-Chebyshev in $L^p(\Omega)$ for $0<p\le 1$. For planar domains, we obtain a rigidity theorem for the $p-$Bergman kernel (which is not valid in high dimensional cases), and a characterization of non-isolated boundary points through completeness of the Narasimhan-Simha metric.

Abstract:We establish local asymptotic estimates of partial Bergman kernels on closed, $S^1$-symmetric Kähler manifolds. The main result concerns the scaling asymptotics of partial Bergman kernels at generic off-diagonal points in which they are not negligible. The case of the two-dimensional sphere is discussed in detail.

On several problems in p-Bergman theory

Abstract:In this paper, we first answer Chen-Zhang's problem on $p$-Bergman metric proposed in \cite{CZ22}. Second, we prove the off-diagonal p-Bergman kernel function $K_p(z,w)$ is Hölder continuous of order (1-$\varepsilon$) about the second component when $p>1$ for any $\varepsilon>0$, which improves the corresponding result of Chen-Zhang. Moreover, we prove the asymptotic behavior of the maximizer of $p$-Bergman kernel as $p\rightarrow 1^-$. Finally, we give a characterization of a class of holomorphic functions on $\mathbb{B}^1$ to be $L^p$-integrable.

Abstract:By revisiting Tian's peak section method, we obtain a localization principle of the Bergman kernels on Kähler manifolds with complex hyperbolic cusps, which is a generalization of Auvray–Ma–Marinescu's (Math Ann 379:51–1002, 2021) localization result Bergman kernels on punctured Riemann surfaces . Then we give some further estimates when the metric on the complex hyperbolic cusp is a Kähler–Einstein metric or when the manifold is a quotient of the complex ball. By applying our method directly to Poincaré type cusps, we also get a partial localization result.

LetM be the set of a such that Dga defines a metric, and let S be the boundary ofM. We provide a recursive weight transfer construction to obtain the M on the nested fractals, and illustrate the construction by the Lindstrøm snowflake; for the Sierpinski carpet we use a symmetric argument directly to obtain theM. Our main result is to characterize the metrics from ga, a ∈ S satisfy the metric chain condition (MCC), and are equivalent to the geodesic metrics. The MCC is used for the lower estimate of the sub-Gaussian heat kernel. This together with the upper estimate in [27] allows us to have a concrete class of metrics for time change, and for the two sided sub-Gaussian heat kernel estimate.

Abstract:A highly accurate and efficient method to compute the expected values of the count, sum, and squared norm of the sum of the centre vectors of a random maximal sized collection of non-overlapping unit diameter disks touching a fixed unit-diameter disk is presented. This extends earlier work on Rényi's parking problem [Magyar Tud. Akad. Mat. Kutató Int. Közl. 3 (1-2), 1958, pp. 109-127]. Underlying the method is a splitting of the the problem conditional on the value of the first disk. This splitting is proven and then used to derive integral equations for the expectations. These equations take a lower block triangular form. They are solved using substitution and approximation of the integrals to very high accuracy using a polynomial approximation within the blocks.

Abstract:We apply the Bekollé-Bonami estimate for the (positive) Bergman projection on the weighted $L^p$ spaces on the unit disk. As the consequences, we obtain the boundedness of the Bergman projection on the weighted Sobolev space on the symmetrized bidisk. We also improve the boundedness result of the Bergman projection on the unweighted $L^p$ space on the symmetrized bidisk in \cite{CKY}.

Abstract:The quotient of the Szegö and Bergman kernels for a smooth bounded pseudoconvex domains in Cn is bounded from above by a constant multiple of δ|logδ|p for any p>n, where δ is the distance to the boundary. For a class of domains that includes those of DʼAngelo finite type and those with plurisubharmonic defining functions, the quotient is also bounded from below by a constant multiple of δ|logδ|p for any p<−1. Moreover, for convex domains, the quotient is bounded from above and below by constant multiples of δ.
