Abstract:National defense education in universities has appeared many problems such as teaching content outdated and old?fashioned military training form rigid and dogmatic record of formal schooling of national defense education teachers is low teaching institutions do not regulate.These problems are seriously affecting the realization of national defense education value.In order to deepen reform of national defense education in universities in the new period it should persist in new thinking and adopt new strategies.It should adjust teaching content system of national defense education based on the new changes of national securi?ty environment and the situation of international strategy reform the national defense education form based on cultivating students? comprehensive quality and innovation ability create national defense education discipline taking scientific and standard?ized development of national defense education as the goal regulate the national defense education institution taking constructing professional and high?level teaching staff as goal.
