Abstract:The realization of common prosperity requires the correct handling of the relationship between efficiency and equity. “Common” reflects the socialist pursuit of equity, “prosperity” reflects the efficient basis of the market economy, and common prosperity reflects the consistency between the socialist pursuit and the efficiency and competitive characteristics of the market economy. The equity is the goal of common prosperity, while the efficiency is the means to common prosperity, and the realization of common prosperity is the process of uniting equity and efficiency. From the perspective of wealth distribution, common prosperity must adhere to the principle of justice under efficiency direction and the principle of benevolence under equity direction, which are the two basic principles of common prosperity. In the primary stage of socialism, to achieve common prosperity should first be based on the reality, and follow the principles of justice, not only ensures fairness and efficiency, and promotes the sustainable growth of wealth, but also respects and safeguards people’s basic rights, and creates a good social environment for common prosperity. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen the ideals of equity, promote morality and ethics, follow the principle of benevolence, and supplement and improve the system of wealth distribution. In the end, a common prosperity model with the principle of justice as the main and the principle of benevolence as the supplement will be formed.
