Abstract:Let H be an infinite-dimensional complex separable Hilbert space and B(H) denote the algebra of all bounded linear operators acting on H. We show that an additive continuous surjective map phi on B(H) is asymptotic similarity preserving if and only if it is similarity preserving, and in turn, if and only if there exist a scalar c and an invertible bounded linear or conjugate linear operator A on H such that either phi(T) = cATA(-1) for all T or phi(T) = cAT*A(-1) for all T.

Abstract:As H is let to be a separable infinite dimensional Hilbert space and B(H) the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators on H,the quasisimilarity-invariant subspaces of B(H) and quasisimilarity-preserving linear maps on B(H) is put to study.The study of this paper proved that the quasisimilarity-invariant subspaces of B(H) have three forms,that is {0},CI and B(H) and that every bounded linear surjective map on B(H) which is quasisimilarity-preserving is nonzero scalar multiple of either an automorphism or an anti-automorphism by using the method of linear operator approximation.

Abstract:Let X be a real or complex Banach space with dimension at least 3, N1(X) be the family of all rank one nilpotent operators. We give the concrete form of every bijective map Φ:N1(X)→N1(X) such that T+S∈N1(X)⇔Φ(T)+Φ(S)∈N1(X). Based on this result, we characterize the surjective map Φ:B(H)→B(H)withT±S∼R⇔Φ(T)±Φ(S)∼Φ(R) for all T,S,R∈B(H), where H is a Hilbert space (real or complex) with dimension at least 3.

Abstract:Let H be a Hilbert space and \(A\) be a standard *-subalgebra of ℬ(H). We show that a bijective map Φ: \(A \uparrow A\) preserves the Lie-skew product AB − BA* if and only if there is a unitary or conjugate unitary operator U ∈ ℬ(H) such that Φ(A) = UAU* for all A ∈ \(A\), that is, Φ is a linear *-isomorphism or a conjugate linear *-isomorphism.

Abstract:Let B(H) be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex Hilbert space H with dimH⩾2. It is proved that a surjective map φ on B(H) preserves operator pairs whose products are nonzero projections in both directions if and only if there is a unitary or an anti-unitary operator U on H such that φ(A)=λU∗AU for all A in B(H) for some constants λ with λ2=1. Related results for surjective maps preserving operator pairs whose triple Jordan products are nonzero projections in both directions are also obtained. These show that the operator pairs whose products or triple Jordan products are nonzero projections are isometric invariants of B(H).

Abstract:Let (H)(H) be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex Hilbert space (H) with dim (H) ≥ 2. It is proved that a linear surjective map ψ on (H)(H) preserves the nonzero projections of products of two operators if and only if there is a unitary operator U in (H)(H) such that ψ(X) = λU~*XU, (A)X∈(H)(H) for some constants λ with λ~2 = 1.
