Abstract:Polymer imidazole salt 1 is a new kind of polymer phase transfer catalyst,which has the advantages of convenience for preparation,good thermal stability,and high catalytic activity.Its decomposition temperature determined by TGA is about 350 ℃.Some fluorinitrobenzene derivatives were prepared via halex fluorination catalyzed by polymer imidazole salt from corresponding chloronitrobenzene derivatives under the irradiation of microwave.The yield of products was in a range of 72.1%~94.4%,and the reaction time can be shortened by more than 60% in comparison with conventional heating.More aprotic solvents can be used in halogen-exchange fluorination under the irradiation of microwave.In addition,non-thermal effect can be shown obviously when the reaction is carried out in medium polar aprotic solvents.

Abstract:A modified solid-liquid halex reaction was developed in the presence of a robust phase transfer catalyst under microwave conditions. A fast, mild, and practical microwave- assisted synthesis of 2,3-difluoro-5-chloropyridine 3 starting from 2,3,5- trichlorpyridine 1 and spray-dried KF in polar aprotic solvent was developed. The addition of Tetrakis (piperidino) phosphonium chloride as phase transfer catalyst A was studied under microwave irritation (450W) and increased the yield and significantly reduced the reaction time in contrast to the conventional heating procedure. The highest reaction rate was observed at 5 wt% phase transfer phosphonium salt catalyst to 2,3,5-trichloropyridine 1.

Abstract:In the presence of KI and (diacetoxyiodo)benzene (PIDA), primary amines bearing an alpha-hydrogen can be efficiently converted to fluoroalkylated imidazoles by reacting with fluoroalkylated alkynes and sodium azide via a cascade Michael addition/azidation/cycloamination process. KI plays a crucial role in this reaction by generating iodine(I) species to promote the cyclization. Substrate scope was explored, and the application of this protocol was demonstrated. Additionally, a plausible reaction mechanism was proposed.

Abstract:Herein, we describe the design and synthesis of a difluoromethylsulfonyl imidazolium salt, which can act as a radical difluoromethylation reagent to achieve the challenging amino- and oxy-difluoromethylation of alkenes. Notably, the three steps for the synthesis of the imidazolium salt do not require any tedious distillation or column chromatography purification process, and the amino- and oxy-difluoromethylation paths are simply determined by the selection of reaction solvents.
