Abstract:In the U.S.higher education system,the management of academic programs generally assumes a style of negotiation between the inside and outside stakeholders of universities and between the government and universities. Although the approval and adjustment of academic programs are free from the restriction of a program catalog,they are subject to the government's supervision and society's participation.The shared governance among the universities, government and society ensures the flexibility,diversity and orderliness of the development of academic programs. This article introduces the management systems and operation mechanisms of program management at the state governments and universities,and analyzes their unique features and experience.

Abstract:With the continuous deepening of educational reform and the rapid development of higher education, as an important battlefield for knowledge dissemination, scientific research innovation, and social services, the financial management level of universities directly affects the efficiency of resource allocation, improvement of teaching quality, and sustainable development ability of the school. However, in the context of rapid expansion and diversified development, financial management in universities faces many challenges and problems. If not solved, it will inevitably negatively impact the management of universities and restrict their development. This article aims to deeply analyze the main problems in current financial management in universities and propose corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, to provide reference for improving the efficiency of financial management in universities.

Abstract:With the improvement of the socialist cultural and educational market system and the internationalization of China's higher education,the mode and the level of running a university will gradually become an important factor in determining the fate of the school.With much attention paid to the overall development of a university,the idea of management has been generally accepted by university leaders and has become the strategic choice for the development of Chinese universities.In a market economy,managing a university and exercising university management by means of the market method are two different acts made to ensure the healthy development of universities.Universities leaders,on the one hand,should study how to manage schools in a market economy and try to create a good environment for the existence and development of their universities and,on the other hand,they should adopt market measures in university management to improve their managerial ability to realize efficient distribution of the resources of their schools.

Abstract:The implementation of teaching assistant system has a good role in promoting the undergraduate teaching quality and graduate training quality. With the popularization of higher education, the implementation of teaching assistant system in our country has become increasingly in-depth, but also exposed some problems. Zhejiang University did some explorations based on the construction of the core curriculums of general education, such as taking seminars as the key work of teaching assistants and introducing teaching assistant training systems, which has gained good effects. Meanwhile, the improved measures of teaching assistant system in publicizing, selecting, training and evaluating were also put forward.

Abstract:It is an irreversible trend for student work in universities to be professionalized.However,several problems manifest themselves in the implementation,such as the equation of professionalization with occupation,or its simplification into a separate post for student management.In order to achieve real professionalization of student work,the university needs to open training programs and select those candidates who are willing to devote themselves into this career.Moreover,on the basis of career development of teachers in charge of the student work,the university needs to gain support from external environment.The shortcomings in the present professionalization process needs to be looked into and a long-term program needs to be set up,so as to provide a long-lasting momentum for the student work in institutions of higher education.

Abstract:With the enlargement of postgraduate admission scale,postgraduate education has become the keystone of talent cultivation in our country.The process of cultivation is characterized by individual management of the supervisor.However,it has become evident that the management model of supervisor's responsibility can not satisfy the need of development,especially for the supervisors working in clinical schools who generally take on very important responsibilities of clinical practice,teaching and researching.How to ensure the quality of postgraduate cultivation? The authors deem that effective management functions as its premise and guarantee.As a clinical college of Peking University,the authors initially tried to establish longitudinal management system of postgraduate class in response to the reform of higher educational management system two years ago.Here these methods and experiences of the new management model are briefly described.

Abstract:The examination management of colleges and universities is an important part of the management of education and teaching in colleges and universities, which is crucial to the adjustment of talent training plan of colleges and universities, and is the foundation and guarantee of education management of colleges and universities. The current examination management in private colleges and universities still has many problems that need to be optimized because of its confidentiality, redundancy and seriousness. In this paper, we analyze the problems such as imperfect information management system, inconsistent quality of examination supervision and shift of examination administration in the current examination administration in private colleges and universities, and put forward targeted suggestions for optimization, such as establishing a sound information-based examination administration system, strengthening the training of examination administration personnel and refining the responsibility of examination administration, in order to provide reference for the future examination administration in private colleges and universities.
