Abstract:The realm of equality between men and women is the reflection of historical advancement which involves politics,economy,law,sociology,culture,ethics,etc,and provides us the possibility for analyzing the comprehensive connotation of equality between men and women.This analysis is also necessary for the adoption of national policy of equality between men and women and setting up the period and long-term goals of women liberation movement.Meanwhile,attention must be paid to the following points: 1) the connotation of equality between men and women should not be understood in a static way,2)the equality should not understood as the mechanical and absolute equality,3)the understanding of equality should be on the basis of ensuring the basic rights of men and women, and 4) the understanding of equality should not ignore the differences between men and women in sex,physiology and psychology.In addition,sexual discrimination must be avoided.

Abstract:Equality does not mean sameness and equilibration, and envy is not an origin of the idea and the claim of equality. Equality, as a standard and measure, can not be universally valid as a general and independent claim. We could not make a universal claim of complete natural sameness between persons, nor of complete equilibration of social goods between persons. Equality is always a criterion of comparison and measure concerning some claim for some things, therefore it could not be absolutely free-standing as an independent value. Equality, as a value and a demand, is dependent on some other free-standing elements of the basic structure of a just society, i.e., liberty and rights.

Abstract:On the subject of anti-discrimination against employment,theory and experience from some representative countries have indicated their respective persistent efforts in realizing employment equality in such aspects as constitution,legislation and jurisdiction,which offers China a good reference and inspiration to solve various and generally existed employment discrimination problems at present.This essay reveals that besides a lofty concept,equality is also a substantive discipline.Applied in employment,many countries have resorted to the principle of equality in their constitution and legislation to rectify various unreasonable and unjust employment discriminations.Virtually,measures of judging discrimination developed by courts of different countries bear many similarities,which comprise an instrument database for detecting and ruling out employment discrimination so as to help us keep away from ignorance and bias and to establish a more rational,fair and efficient society.

These principles embody the nature and basic values of Chinese civil laws, corresponding to the fundamental demands of the civ-il society and the market economy in China.Namely, they are, by stipulation of General Principles of Chinese Civil Law, the principles of equality, autonomy, fairness, good faith, and public order and social morals.As the ground principle, the princi-ple of equality treating the like alike is the foundational premise of the principle of autonomy, while the principle of autonomy is the essence of civil law reflecting the basic ideas of civil law.Nonetheless, the principle of fairness aims at maintaining necessa-ry balances of individual interests during, especially, their autonomous transactions.The principle of good faith and the principle of public order and social morals set the boundaries of individual autonomy.

Gender equality is smart economics, which can improve economic efficiency in several ways and improve developmental results. The development of accord on gender equality is an important part of construction of harmonious socialist society. The elimination of discrimination and violation of women is only way to achieve development of accord on gender equality. The protection of rights and interests of women needs support of legal system. A system to protect rights and interests of women can operate effectively through legislation. Gender studies expose situation of gender system, and analyse social mechanisms which lead to emergence and reproduction of a gender system to finally achieve gender equality.

Abstract:On the one hand,every human being is equal to each other for his/her basic contributions,because every human being is the shareholder who will contribute to society,so he/she should be entitled to basic rights,which can be named principle of full equality.On the other hand,every human being enjoys unequal non-basic rights for his/her unequal contributions to society,which can be name principle of partial equality.So we draw the conclusion that opportunities provided by society for one to develop his/her talent,make contributions,and compete for particular positions or fortunes,are the basic rights of all human beings.On the contrary,non-social opportunities like families,talents and fortunes are just personal rights of the blessed ones which can not be interfered by others.However,the blessed ones utilize more chances to create for themselves more rights by using more shared resources of social cooperation,so they should compensate the ones of fewer opportunities with relative rights.
