Abstract:The synthesis of N,N′ bis(trimethyl silyl)urea from trimethyl chlorosilane was mainly discussed.The reaction parameters including catalysts,temperature and molar ratio were optimized.Under the optimum condition,the yield of N,N′ bis(trimethylsilyl)urea was 57% on the basis of trimethyl chlorosilane.

Abstract:N,N'-Bis(4-nitrophenyl)urea was prepared by reacting p-nitroaniline with urea in the presence of DMF as solvent at refluxing temperature. The prepared product was analyzed by liquid chromatography. The purity of the product was above 98.00% and the yield was 80.30%. The optimal ratio of the reactants was p-nitroaniline: urea: concentrated hydrochloric acid=1.00∶1.00∶1.25, and the optimal reaction time was 5 h for 41.4 g(0.3 mol) p-nitroaniline under reflux temperature(adding the urea in batches within 1.0 h).

Abstract:A dihydromyrcenol type of silane coupling agent,[2,6-dimethyl-8-(triethoxysilyl)octan-2-ol](DHMS) is prepared through hydrosilylation reaction of dihydromyrcenol with triethoxysilane using platinum complexes(Pt-PMVS) as a catalyst.The target product and by-products were characterized by means of GC-MS and 1HNMR.The effect of reaction conditions,such as solvent,reaction time,reaction temperature and Pt content,on the reaction products were investigated.Under the optimized reaction conditions,side reactions could be curbed effectively,and the DHMS was obtained with a yield of up to 69.7% and with its purity higher than 98% in weight.
Pt Catalyzed Hydrosilylation of Fluorinated Phenoxy-Imine Ligands with Hydrosilanes

Abstract:The hydrosilylation reactions of three fluorinated phenoxy-imine ligands, N-(3-allylsalicylidene)-2,6-difluoroaniline(1), N-(3-allylsalicylidene)-2,3,5,6-tetrafluoroaniline(2) and N-(3-allylsalicylidene)-2,3,4,5,6-pentafluoroaniline (3), with triethoxysilane (TES) and 1,1,1,3,5,5,5-heptamethyltrisiloxane (MDHM) catalyzed by Pt complex (Pt-PMVS) has been studied. Three silylated products bearing Si-OEt bonds were prepared, after optimizing reaction conditions, the product selectivity were in the range of 51%similar to 59%, and followed the order 1>2>3. The products and byproducts were isolated and characterized by FT-IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR,Si- 29 NMR, HRMS, and elemental analysis. As a comparison, other three silylated phenoxy-imine ligands were obtained by hydrosilylation of ligands with MDHM. The product selectivity were around 93%similar to 96%, and the side reactions were substantially suppressed.

Abstract:The direct synthesis of methylchlorosilanes by reacting metallic silicon with methyl chloride in the presence of a copper catalyst yields low-boiling component, high-boiling component and methyltrichlorosilane as by-products. The process was proposed for preparing monosilanes from the HBC fraction by reacting it with hydrogen chloride in the presence of an amine or amide catalyst. The conversion of disilanes into monosilanes is above 80% in general and the best is 86%. A method is also proposed for preparing dimethyldichlorosilane from methyltrichlorosilane, reacting simultaneously with the LBC components having a high content of methyl groups and with the HBC non-cleavable components, in the presence of a catalyst, in which the best conversion is 66.2%, and the best content of dimethyldichlorosilane in final products is 46.4%.

Abstract:Methyltriacetoxysilane,a kind of crosslinking agent used for RTV silicone rubber,was prepared by reaction of methyltrichlorosilane with acetic anhydrid.This improved procedure is very simple,convenient to operate and control for industrial process with low cost.The yield of the product was more than 96%,with a purity value of above 97% by GC analysis and the residual chlorine content was less than 50ppm.

Abstract:Urea derivatives of the general motifs R1(N(SiMe3)C(O)NR2R3)2 and [R1(NC(O)NR2R3)2SiMe2]n (R1 = difunctional organic linker, i.e., core of diisocyanate used; R2,R3= H,nPr; H,Ph; Et,Et) were synthesized by insertion of four different diisocyanates (1,6‐HMDI, 2,4‐TDI, 1,3‐TMXDI and 4,4'‐MDI) into aminotrimethylsilanes Me3SiNR2R3 and diaminodimethylsilanes Me2Si(NR2R3)2. The products obtained were analyzed by NMR and IR spectroscopy. Insertion into aliphatic aminosilanes was found to be favored for primary over secondary amino groups. For insertion into 4,4'‐methylenebis(phenylisocyanate) (4,4'‐MDI), good results were obtained for silanes derived from secondary amines as well. Insertion into aminosilanes with aromatic N‐bound substituents turned out to be kinetically inhibited. Elucidation of molecular structures of the products by crystallography and NMR spectroscopy revealed interesting differences in N‐Si connectivity, caused by steric and electronic effects of the reactants and migration of ‐SiMe3 and –Si(Me2)‐ moieties.

Abstract:To improve the product yield and reduce industrial cost,the hydrosilylation process of 3-chloropropylene(AC) with trimethoxysilane(TMS) was investigated and optimized under the catalyzation of RuCl3·3H2O.A succession of involved chemical parameters was varied to reveal their effects on the product yield,including reaction temperature,amount of catalyst,feeding fashion,reaction time,and mixture ratio of precursors.The optimized parameters were determined to be,temperature of 80 ℃,Ru quantity of 63 μg·g-1,dropwise manner of adding 3-chloropropylene to trimethoxysilane,and the mole ratio of trimethoxysilane to 3-chloropropylene: 1.2~1.4.Under such condition,the hydrosilylation reaction can generate the product of 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane at an efficiency of 96.7%.

Abstract:In order to develop a new silane coupling agent that can be used as coupling agent and initiator, (3-(tertbutylperoxy) propyl) trimethoxysilane was synthesized by using tert-butyl hydroperoxide and (3chloropropyl) trimethoxysilane. The new reagent was characterized by H-1-NMR, FT-IR and mass spectroscopy. The thermokinetics of the new reagent was investigated, including thermal stability, decomposition constants (K-d), activation energy (E-a), the heat of decomposition (Delta H) and preexponential factor (A(d)). In addition, the application of (3-(tert-butylperoxy) propyl) trimethoxysilane on modificating nano-TiO2 and initiating polymerization was studied. The structures of the products of modificating nano-TiO2 and initiating polymerization were verified by XPS, FT-IR. The results indicated that the new reagent had the characteristics of a coupling agent and initiator.

Abstract:The silylated mesoporous molecular sieve was prepared via the organic-silylation of a pure silica KIT-1 with trimethylchlorosilane and dichlorodimethylsilane at 30 ℃ for 8 h,and characterized by means of FT-IR,XRD and nitrogen adsorption-desorption techniques.The FT-IR spectra show that the trimethylsilyl groups have been grafted to the surface of molecular sieve.Compared to the parent sieve,the resultant(samples) keep the original mesoporous structure with less specific BET surface area and BJH volume and smaller(diameter) of pores and show a higher stability toward water(boiling in water for 48 h,the sieve still remained the original mesoporous structure).The hydrophobicity of the sieve modified by trimethylchlorosilane is better than that of the one modified by dichlorodimethylsilane,its adsorption capacity for mixed(cresol) in dilution is 0.512 mmol/g.

Abstract:Methylphenyldichlorosilane was synthesized using methyldichlorosilane and chlorobenzene as raw materials and chloroform as the catalyst by an adaptation of the gas phase catalytic condensation method.The reaction yield and selectivity were measured by gas chromatography.The influence of the temperature,pressure and space time on the yield and selectivity was studied.The optimal reaction conditions were:temperature=600 ℃,pressure≥0.5 MPa,and space time=46.9～70.4 s.The highest product yield and selectivity were,respectively,32.8% and 34.3%,which were obtained with the reaction conditions of 0.56% CHCl3,600 ℃,0.7 MPa and 56.3 s space time.

Abstract:The efficient and selective C-H silylation of heteroarenes, especially the pharmaceutically relevant electron-deficient heteroarenes, represents a great challenge in organic synthesis. Herein we wish to report a distinctive visible light-promoted photocatalytic C-H silylation approach that enables the direct coupling of trialkylhydrosilanes with both electron-deficient and -rich heteroarenes as well as with cyano-substituted arenes in moderate to high yields and with good regioselectivity. The protocol features operational simplicity, mild reaction conditions, and the use of safe and readily available Na2S2O8, bis(trimethylsilyl) peroxide (BTMSPO) or iPr3SiSH as the radical initiators. Notably, the challenging bulky and inert trialkylhydrosilanes, such as (t-butyldimethyl)silane ( t BuMe2SiH) and (triisopropyl)silane (iPr3SiH), work smoothly with the protocol. Moreover, despite the higher stability of t BuMe2Si silylation products, our studies revealed their great reactivity and versatility in diverse C-Si-based chemical transformations, providing an operationally simple, low-cost, and environmentally benign synthetic technology for molecule construction and elaboration.

Abstract:1 ,3‐bis(γ‐chloropropyl)‐1 ,1 ,3 ,3‐tetramethyldisiloxane is a reactive functional group terminated siloxane , which is synthesized using dimethylchlorosilane and allyl chloride as starting materials .Through hydrosilylation and hydrolytic condensation ,1 ,3‐bis (γ‐chloropropyl)‐1 ,1 ,3 ,3‐tetramethyldisiloxane was prepared in a total yield of 81% .The optimal conditions of hydrosilylation were studied .The yield of hydrosilylation was 83 .8% when the reaction time was 5 h ,the amount of platinum catalyst was 2 × 10-5 g · mL -1 and the ratio of reactants was 1∶1 . The yield of hydrolytic condensation was 96 .7% .Additionally ,IR ,1H NMR and gas chromatography‐mass spectrometer were used to characterize the structure of target product .

Abstract:Synthesis of azido(trimethylsilyl)acetylene (6) was performed by treating the iodonium salt 5 with highly soluble hexadecyltributylphosphonium azide (QN3) at −40 °C. Although this product is very unstable, it can nevertheless be trapped by the click reaction with cyclooctyne to give the corresponding 1,2,3-triazole, and also directly characterized by 1H- and 13C-NMR data as well as IR-spectra, which were measured in solution at low temperature and in the gas phase. The thermal or photochemical decay of azide 6 leads to cyano(trimethylsilyl)carbene. This is demonstrated not only by quantum chemical calculations, but also by the trapping reactions with the help of isobutene.

Abstract:The bis-(triethoxysilylpropyl)tetrasulfide is a sulfur-containing organosilane coupling agent,which is an important additive in the advanced rubbers.In this paper,bis-(triethoxysilylpropyl)tetrasulfide is synthesized in the aqueous phase as compared to the traditional methods.The reaction temperature,the mol ratio of chloropropyl triethoxy silane with poltsulfide,the mass of phase transfer catalyst and some other conditions are studied and optimum conditions are determined.Under these conditions,final product with higher sulfur content,higher conversion rate(more than 95%),good appearance and longer storage time is obtained.

Abstract:<p>An alternative method for efficient synthesis of urea-functionalized silanes was proposed on the basis of an <em>N, N'</em>-carbonyldiimidazole-mediated acyl-transfer reaction between various amino-containing building blocks. The employment of different parent aminosilanes and alkylamines afforded an array of urea-containing silanes, which were subsequently immobilized onto silica gel to form corresponding urea-embedded alkyl stationary phases for high-performance liquid chromatography. The different substituents on the silicon core of the derivatized silane were found to significantly influence the final chromatographic behaviors. The comparative chromatographic characterization of thus-prepared silica packings with conventional octadecyl (C18) stationary phases revealed that the urea group was beneficial to suppress silanol activity towards basic probes, as well as to increase the water-compatibility of the alkyl stationary phases. The combination of a polar urea moiety and a non-polar long alkyl chain was favorable for an enhanced steric selectivity towards shape-constrained isomers. The polarizability-sensitive feature of such stationary phases made them good candidates for efficient separation of nitro-containing polar substances.</p>

Abstract:Sodium methylallyl sulfonate was synthesized by using sodium pyrosulfite and 3-chloro-2-methylpropene as raw material.The influential factors,such as reaction temperature,reactant molar ratio and reaction time,were explored.The optimum conditions for synthesizing the titla compound were determined as follows: 3-chloro-2-methylpropene 1.0 mol,molar ratio of sodium pyrosulfite to methallyl chloride 0.6∶1,3-chloro-2-methylpropene dropping into sodium pyrosulfite sloution and reacting for 120 min at 65 °C,Under the optimum reaction conditions the yield reached over 85%.

Abstract:The synthesis of optically active (R)-2-trimethylsilyl-2-hydroxyl-ethylcyanide by asymmetric trans-cyanation of acetyltrimethylsilane with acetone cyanohydrin in a biphasic system was achieved using (R)-oxynitrilase from loquat seed meal. Diisopropyl ether was the most suitable organic phase among the organic solvents examined. The optimal concentration of acetyltrimethylsilane, concentration of crude enzyme, volume ratio of the aqueous to the organic phase, temperature and the buffer pH value were 14 mM: , 61.4 U ml-1, 13% (v/v), 30 degrees C and 4, respectively. The substrate conversion and the product enantiomeric excess were 95% and 98% under the optimized conditions. Acetyltrimethylsilane was a better substrate of the enzyme than its carbon counterpart.

Abstract:The preparation of optically pure organosilicon compounds bearing a stereogenic center at the silicon atom is an attractive but challenging enterprise. Herein we disclose an isothiourea (ITU)-catalyzed monoacylation reaction of silicon-centered bisphenols with 2,2-diphenylacetic pivalic anhydride, delivering tetrasubstituted organosilanes in moderate to excellent yields (36-91%) with moderate to excellent enantiomeric ratios (68:32-97.5:2.5). This organocatalytic desymmetrization approach can be performed on gram scale, and the products can be converted to other valuable compounds.
