Abstract:A general mean value theorem, for real valued functions, is proved. This mean value theorem contains, as a special case, the result that for any, suitably restricted, function f defined on [ a, b ], there always exists a number c in ( a, b ) such that f(c) − f(a) = f ′( c )( c−a ). A partial converse of the general mean value theorem is given. A similar generalized mean value theorem, for vector valued functions, is also established.

Abstract:This paper discusses differential mean value theorems based on uncertainty differential equation. Firstly, we propose some uncertain differential mean value theorems driven by canonical process, in which finite interval and infinite interval cases are considered respectively. Then the stability for uncertain differential mean value theorem is discussed under the Lipschitz conditions. Finally, some examples are given.

This paper delves into the mathematical intricacies of the MVT and its multifaceted applications. Through rigorous proofs and illustrative examples, this study establishes the MVT's fundamental role in calculus and its relevance in understanding the behavior of functions. The paper extends its exploration to encompass related theorems, including extreme value theorem, which connects function’s continuity and extrema, Intermediate Value Theorem, which states that the function value within an interval of a continuous function must be between the maximum and minimum values, local extreme value theorem, Rolle’s theorem, a specific situation of the theorem, and the integral MVT, an application in integral aspect of MVT, further enriching the comprehension of these pivotal concepts. These theorems provide powerful tools for understanding the properties of continuous functions, identifying critical points, and establishing relationships between function values and their derivatives. This paper highlights the significance of proving these theorems and solving mathematical problems as applications. Abstract:Darboux's Theorem shows that any derived function poses intermediate-value property.This enable us to solve many problems of mathematical analysis without assuming the continuous of the highest order derivatives.On the other hand, comparison theorems are very important in theories of differential equations.In this paper, it is shown that many generalizations of mean value theorems can be transformed to the estimates of solutions of differential equations by approaches related to comparison theorems.This will be helpful and interesting for students in studying mathematical analysis.

Abstract:The foundation of all mathematical analysis is calculus. The mean value theorem of differential equations and the mean value theorem of integral equations are crucial concepts in calculus. They establish the framework for the entire calculus. This essay discusses three different types of mean value theorems. They have some degree of generalization and proof. Thus, the mean value theorems of Lagrange, Rolle, and Cauchy are all correctly demonstrated in this study. The foundation for these three theorems further establishes the calculus fundamental theorem. They can expand the differential mean value theorem and demonstrate the Newton-Leibniz formula. The application of mean value theorems is discussed in this paper. This research is really important. Because mathematics uses the most fundamental and significant tool used in human investigation. Like the progression from the mean value theorem of the differential to the mean value theorem of the integral, from the known to the unknown.

In this paper, we prove that if $n\ge d+1$ and if it admits a meromorphic solution $f$ with finitely many poles, then $$\begin{equation*} f(z)=s(z)e^{v(z)/(n+1)} \quad \mbox {and}\quad Q_d(z,f)\equiv 0. \end{equation*}$$ With this in hand, we also prove that if $f$ is a transcendental entire function, then $f'p_k(f)+q_m(f)$ assumes every complex number $\alpha $, with one possible exception, infinitely many times, where $p_k(f), q_m(f)$ are polynomials in $f$ with degrees $k$ and $m$ with $k\ge m+1$. This result generalizes a theorem originating from Hayman [‘Picard values of meromorphic functions and their derivatives’, Ann. of Math. (2)70(2) (1959), 9–42].

History and Overview

Abstract:This note tries to show that a re-examination of a first course in analysis, using the more sophisticated tools and approaches obtained in later stages, can be a real fun for experts, advanced students, etc. We start by going to the extreme, namely we present two proofs of the Extreme Value Theorem: "the programmer proof" that suggests a method (which is practical in down-to-earth settings) to approximate, to any required precision, the extreme values of the given function in a metric space setting, and an abstract space proof ("the level-set proof") for semicontinuous functions defined on compact topological spaces. Next, in the intermediate part, we consider the Intermediate Value Theorem, generalize it to a wide class of discontinuous functions, and re-examine the meaning of the intermediate value property. The trek reaches the final frontier when we discuss the Uniform Continuity Theorem, generalize it, re-examine the meaning of uniform continuity, and find the optimal delta of the given epsilon. Abstract:We discuss some recent results on algebraic differential properties of the Riemann ζ-function and the Euler Γ-function and prove two results in this direction. Especially, we will define a new class of meromorphic functions in terms of zeros of the Riemann ζ-function on the critical line and prove that algebraic equations with coefficients in this class cannot be satisfied by the Riemann ζ-function and the Euler Γ-function.

Abstract:In this paper we follow a paper from A. Sedunova (2017) regarding R. C. Vaughan's basic mean value Theorem (Acta Arith. 1980) to improve and complete a more general demonstration for a suitable class of arithmetic functions as started by A. C. Cojocaru and M. R. Murty (London Math. Soc. Stud. Texts 2006). As an application we derive a basic mean value Theorem for the von Mangoldt generalized functions.

This improves the results due to Mues (Arch Math 32:55–67, 1979), Bergweiler and Eremenko (Rev Mat Iber 22:355–373, 1995), etc. Moreover, the corresponding normality criterion is also obtained.

Abstract:A very small amount of K\"ahler algebra (i.e. Clifford algebra of differential forms) in the real plane makes x + ydxdy emerge as a factor between the differentials of the Cartesian and polar coordinates, largely replacing the concept of complex variable. The integration on closed curves of closed 1-forms on multiply connected regions takes us directly to a real plane version of the theorem of residues. One need not resort to anything like differentiation and integration with respect to x + ydxdy. It is a matter of algebra and integration of periodic functions. We then derive Cauchy's integral formulas, including the ones for the derivatives. Additional complex variable theory of general interest for phyicists is then trivial. The approach is consistent with the Weierstrass point of view: power series expansions, even if explicit expressions are not needed. By design, this approach cannot replace integrations that yield complex results. These can be obtained with an approach based on the Cauchy point of view, where the Cauchy-Riemann conditions come first and the theorem of residues comes last.
