Abstract:Reasonable division of function in higher schools is an effective way to reconcile the conflicts between different values of higher education. Higher vocational schools have their own functions in higher education system and they should realize their functions by presenting their own characteristics in aim position, specialty provision, teaching contents, teaching methods and teaching staff.

Abstract:European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training is a unified reference system for the quality assurance of vocational education and training in European Union,which has provided a kind of reference of quality assurance procedures,quality indicators and monitoring procedures for the member states of European Union.The framework is not only beneficial to improving the quality,but also beneficial to increasing the transparency of vocational education and training for the member states,and boosting the degree of mutual trust in the member states as well as the providers of vocational education and training.Drawing lessons from European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training to construct the quality assurance standard of vocational education quality assurance system in China,the standard should be adjusted timely,the differentiation should be taken into account in vocational education quality assurance,the standard should run through the overall process of vocational education,and the democracy should be fully reflected.

Abstract:In this paper, practical strategies are proposed to improve the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges. Research and analyses have shown that the key to improving the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges lies in the improvement of professionalism, subject knowledge, and teaching ability. Thus, the following practical strategies are proposed: strengthen teachers’ moral development, establish a teacher training system, focus on curriculum construction and teaching method innovation, and strengthen the teaching quality monitoring and evaluation mechanism. These measures can effectively improve the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges and promote the development of higher vocational education.

Abstract:The Belt and Road Initiative has brought unprecedented development opportunities for domestic higher vocational colleges to “go abroad,” but it has also brought severe challenges. Driven by the Belt and Road Initiative, the development of higher vocational colleges “going abroad” has been confronted with a series of challenges, including the imperfect connection of policies, the lack of internal funds, as well as international standards, which are important factors affecting their development. Therefore, it is necessary to start from three aspects, which are policy guarantee, financing, and docking international standards. Through in-depth study of “going abroad” with tthe Belt and Road Initiative, we can effectively reduce the adverse impact of “going abroad” and provide a better and more innovative development environment for higher vocational colleges.

Abstract:As the concept of lifelong education continues to infiltrate the education system, the examination of degree programs for junior college graduates has become a promotion path for graduates of higher vocational colleges to continue their education. It optimizes the development space for graduates of higher vocational colleges. While the enrollment of junior college graduates for degree programs is expanding, the education system of degree programs for junior college graduates and higher vocational colleges in China has also ushered in a new round of challenges and development opportunities. At present, the education system for degree programs for junior college graduates is not sound enough, and the interface with higher vocational colleges is not close enough. Moreover, there are problems such as poor communication of students moving from higher vocational colleges to universities for undergraduate education and fluctuating quality of personnel training and education. Therefore, it is of significance to study the problems of major offerings in higher vocational colleges. In our study, we took higher vocational colleges in Xiamen as an example. And we systematically study and then analyze the universities offering degree programs for junior college graduates and their majors. Finally, the problems in the connection between the majors of higher vocational colleges and those of universities with degree programs for junior college graduates are discussed, and suggestions are given for the study. Moreover, the universities should respond to the real-time development policy of the country and cultivate interdisciplinary personnel with solid theoretical foundation, innovation skills, research capabilities, professional expertise, and practical skills for social development.

Abstract:As an important part of China's higher education system, student management in higher vocational colleges and universities is of great significance for cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents. Through an in-depth analysis of the current situation of student management in China's higher vocational colleges and universities, this paper reveals the problems that exist in the current management process, including the insufficiency of policies and regulations, the deficiencies in management organisational structure and staffing, the lack of adaptability of the student management methods, and the insufficiency of student participation. Aiming at these problems, this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, such as improving policies and regulations, optimising management organisational structure and staffing, innovating student management methods and improving student participation. Through the research of this paper, it aims to provide useful reference for student management in China's higher vocational colleges and universities and promote the development of higher vocational education.

Abstract:Students overall quality assessment is an important part of quality education, and it is an important means to inspire, guide and promote the comprehensive development of students. Proceeding from the objective of higher vocational education, the paper builds a comprehensive quality of vocational college students’ evaluation index system, and evaluates the overall quality of integrated individual student in higher vocational institutions scientifically by using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Abstract:In the latest "Opinions of the Ministry of Education on Comprehensively Improving the Quality of Higher Education" (Jiao Gao [2012] No. 4), the Ministry of Education points out the need to further improve the quality standards system for talent cultivation and formulate and implement national standards for the teaching quality of undergraduate and higher vocational specialties .The goal of talent cultivation in Chinese higher vocational colleges is to cultivate technical personnel who are capable of meeting the needs of frontline production, construction, management, and service. Therefore, in order to improve the teaching quality of higher vocational colleges, it is necessary to establish a teaching quality evaluation system that is in line with the laws and characteristics of higher vocational education. This paper aims to study the construction and innovation of teaching evaluation system under the background of information age based on the development status and existing problems of practical teaching quality of engineering major in higher vocational colleges, and put forward targeted and original suggestions to provide strategic reference for the further development of curriculum teaching quality in higher vocational colleges.
