Abstract:In order to understand the current situation of secondary vocational education research in China, this paper adopts the literature research method to study the development of secondary vocational education in China. Firstly, we searched the literature of secondary vocational education research and found that the main research literature was focused on three areas: "research on secondary vocational education development", "research on school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration model of secondary vocational education", and "research on secondary vocational teaching reform". After analyzing the hotspots of secondary vocational education research, the future directions that researchers should focus on in the field of secondary education research in the future are generally "problems in the development of secondary vocational education", such as promoting the research of "school-enterprise cooperation and integration of industry-education" in secondary vocational schools. "The important role of secondary vocational education as a bridge", such as the promotion of the "double high" policy, which opens up new channels for higher education or vocational-technical universities through the creation of specialties. "Teacher training and pedagogical innovation in secondary vocational education" e.g. interdisciplinary cross-fertilization. It is strongly believed that these recommendations will be useful for researchers concerned with the field of secondary vocational education

Abstract:The Ministry of Education in China has emphasized the need to strengthen the construction of vocational education textbook systems and innovate mechanisms for textbook writing, review, publication, and use. Textbook construction is a crucial aspect of fulfilling the fundamental task of cultivating well-rounded individuals and serves as a vital channel for cultural inheritance. While adhering to the principle of developing high-quality textbooks, it is also important to consider the characteristics of vocational education and create outstanding textbooks that align with the developmental patterns of students in vocational colleges. Building on these principles, this paper conducts research and provides an overview of vocational college textbooks in China. It integrates the content and value of vocational education textbooks, summarizes general principles for textbook construction, and contributes to the implementation of textbook development in vocational colleges.

Abstract:Chinese traditional etiquette culture is the precipitation and accumulation of pre-cious spiritual wealth of the Chinese nation from ancient times to the present. The development of Chinese traditional etiquette culture in higher vocational education is to carry forward the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and to establish cultural self-confidence of higher vocational students. It is also of great practical significance to improve personal cultivation and strengthen cultural identity and appreciation. This paper sorts out the relevant documents collected by CNKI in the past ten years, sorts out the current situation of the integration of Chinese traditional etiquette culture and higher vocational education, and finally puts forward suggestions and prospects for the problems existing in the research. It is pointed out that we should pay more attention to the innovative path research of integrating traditional etiquette culture into vocational aesthetic education, and explore the new paradigm and new thinking of integrating traditional etiquette culture into higher vocational education in the new era, so as to make the traditional etiquette culture penetrate into higher vocational education.

Abstract:The development of higher vocational education in China embodies a global trend of vocationalism that values skills and skilled workers, which is opposite, in some ways, to the Confucian tradition in Chinese education that values theoretical knowledge related to good governance. As the cultural trend supporting the development of higher vocational education, vocationalism is implicated in certain challenges including high tuition fees, limited upward mobility, and neglect of the humanities in education. Humanities for moral education, and mechanisms for upward mobility on equal terms for all, which are fundamental elements of Confucianism, may help resolve these challenges. This paper embodies the dialectic of a global trend and local culture in educational reform within the context of globalization.

Abstract:Industrial research for the purpose of talent training is one of the important ways to change the current irrational structure of teachers in my country's higher vocational education system. Aiming at the current shortage of practical skills among teachers in higher vocational colleges, the necessity of industrial research to promote the development of higher vocational education in my country is analyzed. On this basis, a strategic framework for higher vocational teachers to conduct industrial research for the purpose of vocational talent training has been constructed from the five fundamentals which are industry needs, industry frontiers and development trends, work tasks and processes, professional standards, and professional qualifications.

Abstract:This paper analyzes the correlation between Xiamen secondary vocational education and its economic development since Xiamen Special Economic Zone was established.The research proves that the correlation between secondary vocational education and tertiary industry is the highest;the student recruitment fluctuation is behind the economic fluctuation,and this,together with talent cultivation periodicity,makes the unavoidability of the disparity between economy and the quality and number of graduates.Secondary vocational education should anticipate the developmental trend of tertiary industry,and accordingly trains technical personnel and take its initiative in upgrading the industrial structure.China should pay attention to the social vocational training organizations.With people's pursuit of higher education and the decrease of the junior middle school students,secondary vocational education schools will soon enter their decline stage,but they should pay attention to their sustainable development,so that some of them may be ungraded to vocational colleges in the future.

Abstract:As a strategic focus of talent cultivation in the new period, in recent years China’s vocational education practice has seen “leapfrog” style development. A systematic look at the current state of Chinese vocational education research and exploration of its core research institutions, most frequently cited works, research “hot topics,” and leading research is clearly needed and meaningful, and the method of using knowledge maps based on knowledge metrics provides an effective path to resolving this. Knowledge map software CiteSpace III was used to obtain quantitative statistics on works related to vocational education recorded in the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index database and to explore the date, distribution by journal, and characteristics of the works; draw institutional cooperation maps; examine the core research institutions and their influence; draw publication citation maps; reveal most frequently cited works and their characteristics; draw key word co-occurrence maps; and explore the distribution of research hot topics and leading research.

Abstract:As an important part of China's higher education system, student management in higher vocational colleges and universities is of great significance for cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents. Through an in-depth analysis of the current situation of student management in China's higher vocational colleges and universities, this paper reveals the problems that exist in the current management process, including the insufficiency of policies and regulations, the deficiencies in management organisational structure and staffing, the lack of adaptability of the student management methods, and the insufficiency of student participation. Aiming at these problems, this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, such as improving policies and regulations, optimising management organisational structure and staffing, innovating student management methods and improving student participation. Through the research of this paper, it aims to provide useful reference for student management in China's higher vocational colleges and universities and promote the development of higher vocational education.

Abstract:Vocational and technical education and training (TVET) in China is a key pathway to enhance labor productivity and drive economic development. Since the initiation of reforms and opening up, under the high attention of the Chinese government, we have experienced rapid development, from quantity expansion to quality improvement. This article delves into the current status and development trends of vocational and technical education in China, analyzing it from various aspects such as the legal environment, infrastructure, teacher enhancement, teaching methods, and cultural context. This paper conducts macro-research and analysis through policies and regulations and refers to relevant papers from Google Scholar and CNKI for micro-analysis. A telephonic interview was carried out with a total of 38 participants from four different vocational schools, industries, and enterprises. The user conducted similarity and differentiation comparisons using both Excel and Mind Mapping software. The research shows that China's vocational education market has entered a phase of rapid growth, and online education has also seen substantial development. However, due to China's vast territory and constraints arising from economic development and regional disparities, as well as diverse ethnic and cultural factors, vocational education and training (TVET) still faces numerous challenges, such as uneven economic and industry development, urban-rural disparities, teacher shortages, and the separation of schools and enterprises. This article aims to provide insights into the development of vocational and technical education and training from the perspectives of personalized education, talent cultivation, and talent needs. It is intended to expand and enhance the influence of vocational education development and broaden the perspective of vocational and technical talents.
