Evaluation of Duplex Kidneys with Ultrasonograghy

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the diagnostic value of ultrasonograghy for duplex kidneys.Materials and Methods:Fifteen duplex kidneys in 12 cases diagnosed by ultrasonography were studied retrospectively,of which,11 duplex kidneys (eight cases) were given IVP examination.Results:Duplex kidneys,especially in patients with hydronephrosis,had typical ultrasonograms.Conclusion:Ultrasonography plays an important role in diagnosing duplex kidneys.
