Abstract:The genus Sphaeronemoura is reported from the Palaearctic Region for the first time, accompanied with a new species added from northern China, Sphaeronemoura songshana sp. nov. Sphaeronemoura hamistyla (Wu, 1962) is redescribed and reillustrated for comparison based on the holotype and fresh material. Their relationships with close relatives are discussed. Unassociated females for one species are also described for further understanding of the genus under informal designation. Clarification or further definition of the generic characters and remarks on questions of Shimizu & Sivec (2001) are presented.

Abstract:Two new species of the genus Sphaeronemoura of the stonefly family Nemouridae, S. asymmetria sp. n. from Guizhou Province and S. hainana sp. n. from Hainan Province, respectively, are described from China. These findings represent the first record of the genus from these two provinces. Their relationships with other species from adjacent regions are discussed. With the new species described herein, 16 species of Sphaeronemoura are now known.

Abstract:Two new species of the genus Protonemura (Plecoptera: Nemouridae: Amphinemurinae) are described from China, P. bifurcata sp. n. from a holotype male from Taiwan and P. datongensis sp. n. from males and females collected in Datong County of the high altitude Tibetan Plateau of Qinghai Province, China. The new taxa are compared with related congeners respectively. A new combination, Indonemoura filigera (Kawai) comb. n, is proposed for Protonemura filigera Kawai, 1969. The distribution of Protonemura in the East Palaearctic and the Oriental Region is discussed and mapped.

Abstract:A remarkable new genus and species of Nemourinae, Sinonemura balangshana gen. et sp. n., is described from Balang Mountains, Sichuan, southwestern China. The description is based on morphology and molecular data. The Nemourinae genera related to the new taxon are re-evaluated on the basis of comparative functional morphology of male epiproct. Notes on the Asian distribution of the Nemourinae are also given.

Abstract:Two new species of nemourid stonefly genus Nemoura, N. liuqifeii sp. nov. and N. shennongjia sp. nov., are described from Shennongjia National Park, Hubei Province of south-central China. The relationships between the new species and similar species in the genus are discussed. Three females of an undetermined Nemoura are also described from the park, however, they were not successfully associated with the new species or previously barcoded species.

Abstract:The family Nemouridae, belonging to Plecoptera, comprises 21 genera and over 700 species found globally, with the greatest diversity observed in temperate regions. Nemoura Latreille, 1796 and Amphinemura Ris, 1902 are two largest genera of the family with the highest diversity in China.Two new species of Nemoura Latreille, 1796 of the family Nemouridae, Nemoura exterclava Zhu, Rehman & Du sp. nov. and Nemoura cerciserrata Zhu, Du & Rehman sp. nov., are described and illustrated from the Nanling Mountains Region in Guangdong Province, southern China. The morphological characteristics of the new species are compared with related taxa. Additionally, the status of Indonemoura voluta Li & Yang, 2008, originally from Maoershan National Natural Reserve in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was addressed and moved to the genus Amphinemura Ris, 1902 on the basis of newly-caught topotypes.

Abstract:Two species of Nemouridae are described and illustrated from the Nanling Mountains of southern China, including a new species, Nemoura biplatta sp. nov. from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and a new regional record species, Amphinemura cordiformis Li & Yang, 2006 from Hunan Province. The morphological characteristics of the new species are compared to related taxa and the new images with supplementary description of A. cordiformis are also provided.

Abstract:Three new species of the Amphinemurinae genus Amphinemura, A. dicroidea sp. nov., A. longihamita sp. nov. and A. microhamita sp. nov., are described from China. These new species are compared with related taxa. Amphinemura multispina (Wu) and Sphaeronemoura grandicauda (Wu) (also belonging to the Amphinemurinae) are recorded from Shaanxi Province, northwestern China for the first time. The adult male of A. multispina is redescribed and the adult female of S. grandicauda is also described based on new material.

Abstract:Two species the family Nemouridae, Amphinemura mamillata and Protonemura macrodyctala are recorded from Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of northwest China for the first time. A.mamillata is defined by two papillate protrusions on tergum nine fringed by many tiny spines and long bristles at posterior margin and ventral sclerite extended beyond dorsal sclerite to form upcurved apex. P.macrodyctala is characterized by long blade-shaped process extended from the ventral sclerite of the epiproct. The material studied is kept in Entomological Museum of China Agricultural University.
