Abstract:The family Nemouridae, belonging to Plecoptera, comprises 21 genera and over 700 species found globally, with the greatest diversity observed in temperate regions. Nemoura Latreille, 1796 and Amphinemura Ris, 1902 are two largest genera of the family with the highest diversity in China.Two new species of Nemoura Latreille, 1796 of the family Nemouridae, Nemoura exterclava Zhu, Rehman & Du sp. nov. and Nemoura cerciserrata Zhu, Du & Rehman sp. nov., are described and illustrated from the Nanling Mountains Region in Guangdong Province, southern China. The morphological characteristics of the new species are compared with related taxa. Additionally, the status of Indonemoura voluta Li & Yang, 2008, originally from Maoershan National Natural Reserve in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was addressed and moved to the genus Amphinemura Ris, 1902 on the basis of newly-caught topotypes.

Abstract:Two new species of nemourid stonefly genus Nemoura, N. liuqifeii sp. nov. and N. shennongjia sp. nov., are described from Shennongjia National Park, Hubei Province of south-central China. The relationships between the new species and similar species in the genus are discussed. Three females of an undetermined Nemoura are also described from the park, however, they were not successfully associated with the new species or previously barcoded species.

Abstract:Two species of Nemouridae are described and illustrated from the Nanling Mountains of southern China, including a new species, Nemoura biplatta sp. nov. from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and a new regional record species, Amphinemura cordiformis Li & Yang, 2006 from Hunan Province. The morphological characteristics of the new species are compared to related taxa and the new images with supplementary description of A. cordiformis are also provided.

Abstract:During our studying of the fauna of Tibet, China, many specimens of the subfamily Tachininae ( Diptera , Tachinidae ) were collected and examined. Three species are described here as new to science, Leskia latisurstyla sp. nov. , Trichoformosomyia cuonaensis sp. nov. , and Tachina jilongensis sp. nov. , and two species, Nemoraea javana (Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1894) and N. echinata Mesnil, 1953, are newly recorded from Tibet. In addition to their descriptions, illustrations, and diagnoses, three identification keys are provided. The specimens in this study are kept in the Insect Collection of Shenyang Normal University, China ( SYNU ).

Abstract:Two new marine nematode species belonging to the order Monhysterida are described from the sea of China. Halomonhystera zhangi sp. nov. is characterized by its relatively small body size; short anterior sensory setae; small, circular amphidial fovea located at the level of buccal cavity base; funnel-shaped buccal cavity; an excretory-secretory system with a large ventral gland and opening as a very narrow canal just posterior to the level of cephalic setae; slightly curved slender spicules with cephalated proximal end and tapered distal end; rod-like gubernaculum without apophysis; two papilliform precloacal supplements just in front of the cloaca; conico-cylindrical tail with two ventral papillae, each with a seta; and distance between the vulva and anus slightly longer than the tail length. This is the first new species of epiphytic nematode reported in China. The second new species, Stylotheristus flagellicaudatus sp. nov. , has a relatively shorter body and longer tail; striated cuticle; The anterior sensilla arranged in two circles, the first circle consisting of six inner labial setiform papillae (3–4 μm) and the second circle consisting of 16 long setae (12–19 μm); a transversely oval amphideal fovea; a well-developed muscle around the funnel-shaped buccal cavity; short spicules and a gubernaculum composed of a single piece; and precloacal supplements absent. An updated key to all species of Halomonhystera and pictorial key to all species of Stylotheristus are also given.

Abstract:Abstract In this study, Poinarelektronmiles Fanti & Damgaard, 2020 is considered as a junior synonym of Burmomiles Fanti, Damgaard & Ellenberger, 2018, since no generic diagnostic differences can be found in their type species except for the elytral length, which is a yet unstable and more ecology-related character. The two hitherto known species of Poinarelektronmiles are transferred to Burmomiles or Sanaungulus Fanti, Damgaard & Ellenberger, 2018, including B. ellenbergeri (Fanti & Damgaard, 2020) comb. nov. and S. cuaroni (Bramanti & Fanti, 2022) comb. nov. Meanwhile, B. dominikiweissbachi (Fanti & Müller, 2022) comb. nov., B. kachinensis (Fanti & Müller, 2022) comb. nov. and B . lethi (Fanti & Damgaard, 2020) comb. nov. are transferred from Sanaungulus . Six Sanaungulus species are suggested to be placed in Cantharidae incertae sedis , including S. electrum Fanti & Müller, 2022, S. franziskaeweissbachae Fanti & Müller, 2022, S. nalae Fanti & Müller, 2022, S. morellii Fanti & Damgaard, 2020, S. rosenzweigi Fanti & Damgaard, 2020 and S. ruicheni (Hsiao & Huang, 2018), due to their absence of antennal appendages in males. The gender identity for S. kirstenaeweissbachae Fanti & Müller, 2022 and S. cuaroni originally defined as females are corrected into males, according to their pectinate antennae. Additionally, four new species, S. marginalis sp. nov., S. longicornis sp. nov., S. elongaticollis sp. nov., and S. undecimus sp. nov., are described and illustrated. These results will significantly complement and expand our knowledge on the Burmite cantharid diversity.

Abstract:Two new species, Macropelopia ( Macropelopia ) excavata Xu & Fu, sp. nov. and Macropelopia ( Macropelopia ) quadrimacula Xu & Fu, sp. nov. , are described as male adults. A key to identify the males of Macropelopia from China is provided. Furthermore, in order to ascertain the genetic distance between these species and their morphological characteristics, mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I gene sequences were uploaded to the National Center for Biotechnology Information. These COI sequences were then utilized to infer the relationships between the species, employing the neighbor-joining method.

Abstract:This study provides a comprehensive account of 40 species (52 valid names and one preoccupied name) of the genus Nemophora Hoffmannsegg, 1798 described or recorded from Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. A key to the species based on external characters and on male genitalia is provided; 14 new species are described: N. auricapitella Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. chalcoptera Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. karsholti Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. kuznetzovi Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. meyi Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. nielseni Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. nieukerkeni Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. nigripunctella Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. punctifasciella Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. rubicunda Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. szabokyi Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. thailandensis Kozlov, sp. nov. , N. vietnamensis Kozlov, sp. nov. and N. yeni Kozlov, sp. nov. Lectotypes are designated for four species, including one junior synonym: Nemotois diplophragma Meyrick, 1938, Nemotois sinicella Walker, 1863, Nemotois cleodoxa Meyrick, 1922 and Adela satrapodes Meyrick, 1894. Abstract:Fifteen new species of the Leucophenga ornata species group are described from East Asia: L. apunctata Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. arcuata Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. brevifoliacea Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. euryphylla Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. falcata Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. fuscinotata Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. fuscithorax Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. glabella Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. hirsutina Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. hirudinis Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. piscifoliacea Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. rectifoliacea Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. serrateifoliacea Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. subulata Huang & Chen, sp. nov., L. uncinata Huang & Chen, sp. nov. Four known species, L. ornata Wheeler, 1959, L. saigusai Okada, 1968, L. sculpta Chen & Toda, 1994 and L. todai Sidorenko, 1991 are redescribed as supplementary. A key to all the examined species in the ornata group is provided. We try to improve our species delimitation by integrating the DNA sequences data with morphological information. The intra- and interspecific pairwise K-2P (Kimura's two-parameter) distances are summaried.
Clarification of Phylogenetic Relationships among Chinese Nemacheilids with Tube-Shaped Anterior Nostrils, with a Description of a New Genus and Two New Species

Abstract:Nostril structures are important characteristics for generic diagnosis in Nemacheilidae and Cobitidae. Based on phylogenetic analysis, we found that 10 genera within Nemacheilidae (Eonemachilus, Guinemachilus, Lefua, Micronemacheilus, Oreonectes, Paranemachilus, Protonemacheilus, Traccatichthys, Troglonectes, and Yunnanilus) shared tube-shaped anterior nostrils and formed a monophyletic group. Morphologically, the location between the anterior and posterior nostrils was divided into three types: (i) separated, i.e., a distance greater than 1.5 times the diameter of the posterior nostril; (ii) adjacent, i.e., a distance shorter than the diameter of the posterior nostril; and (iii) closely set, i.e., posterior margin of the anterior nostril connected to the anterior margin of the posterior nostril. Thus, the 10 genera can be distinguished based on nostril features. Additionally, we describe one new genus, Guinemachilus gen. nov., and two new species, Guinemachilus pseudopulcherrimus sp. nov. and Paranemachilus chongzuo sp. nov.

Both species differ from congeners in characters of the male genitalia. Semidalis decipiens (Roepke, 1916), is recorded from China for the first time.
