Abstract:Two species of Nemouridae are described and illustrated from the Nanling Mountains of southern China, including a new species, Nemoura biplatta sp. nov. from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and a new regional record species, Amphinemura cordiformis Li & Yang, 2006 from Hunan Province. The morphological characteristics of the new species are compared to related taxa and the new images with supplementary description of A. cordiformis are also provided.

Abstract:Two new species of nemourid stonefly genus Nemoura, N. liuqifeii sp. nov. and N. shennongjia sp. nov., are described from Shennongjia National Park, Hubei Province of south-central China. The relationships between the new species and similar species in the genus are discussed. Three females of an undetermined Nemoura are also described from the park, however, they were not successfully associated with the new species or previously barcoded species.

Abstract:The family Nemouridae, belonging to Plecoptera, comprises 21 genera and over 700 species found globally, with the greatest diversity observed in temperate regions. Nemoura Latreille, 1796 and Amphinemura Ris, 1902 are two largest genera of the family with the highest diversity in China.Two new species of Nemoura Latreille, 1796 of the family Nemouridae, Nemoura exterclava Zhu, Rehman & Du sp. nov. and Nemoura cerciserrata Zhu, Du & Rehman sp. nov., are described and illustrated from the Nanling Mountains Region in Guangdong Province, southern China. The morphological characteristics of the new species are compared with related taxa. Additionally, the status of Indonemoura voluta Li & Yang, 2008, originally from Maoershan National Natural Reserve in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was addressed and moved to the genus Amphinemura Ris, 1902 on the basis of newly-caught topotypes.

Abstract:A new species of the genus Neoperla , N. donglaii sp. nov., is described from Yunnan Province of southwestern China. The new species is assigned to the N. lushana -complex of the N. ( Formosita ) subgenus due to the presence of paired, ventral spiny lobes of the aedeagus. The new species was compared with related species in the subgenus. Neoperla hamata Jewett, 1975 and N. idella Stark & Sivec, 2008 are newly recorded for China and N. quadrata Wu & Claassen, 1934 specifically from Yunnan Province, China. Neoperla quadrata had not been collected for 90 years.

Abstract:A new species of the genus Nilothauma Kieffer, N. pandum sp. n., is described, and its morphological descriptions and illustrations are also given. A key to the males of Nilothauma is given. The adult male of N. pandum sp. n. can be distinguished from known species of the genus by the following combination of characters: anal point very broadly lanceolate with microtrichia in median ridge and apical margin, rounded at apex; superior volsella pad-like, expanded distally; median volsella curved, rounded at apex, with 2 long basal setae and 1 long median seta.

Abstract:Two new recorded species of genus Longidorus (L. pius and L. diadecturus) were recovered and collected from rhizosphere of deciduous trees in Hangzhou of Zhejiang Province and Wuhan of Hubei Province, China, respectively. Morphological identity was confirmed using the revised polytomous key of Loof & Chen, 1999.The codes for identifying the species of L.pius and L.diadecturus are A56-B4-C3-D1-E1-F3-G1-H1-I1 and A4-B23-C5-D3-F2-G2-H1-I1,respectively.L.pius was characterized by medium body size(L=4.7-6.3 mm),anterior region abruptly tapering with rounded lip continuous from body profile,odontostyle long(130-143 μm)and short rounded tail.Meanwhile,L.diadecturus could be distinguished by short body size(3.2-4.6 mm), short odontostyle (108-120 μ m), posterior position of guide ring (33-38 μ m), wide lip region and a relatively anterior vulva. Phylogenetically, the rDNA internal transcribed spacer 1 (ITS1) region of L. pius from China showed 99% supported clade with L. pius topotype (AM743178) from Macedonia, and the similar relationship was obtained in L. diadecturus from China with 99% well supported clade to L. diadecturus type population (AF511416)from Canada.In addition,the 28S region of L.diadecturus from China showed 99% supported clade with L.diadecturus type specimen(AY601584),whereas L.pius noticeably clustered to L.raskii(AJ549983)and Longidorus sp. FDL-2011 (FR775757).The two species, L. pius and L. diadecturus were recorded for the first time in China, and the morphological description and phylogenetic relationships of the given species were provided in this study.

Abstract:A new species of the genus Rhopalopsole (Plecoptera, Leuctridae) from Yunnan Province, China, Rhopalopsole dulongjianga sp. nov., is described and illustrated.This new species is compared to the similar species, Rhopalopsole bispina (Wu, 1949). Additionally, we provide a supplemental description and colour plates of R. bispina. A key to Rhopalopsole species from Yunnan Province, China, is also provided in this paper.

Alloperla kurentzovi Zhiltzova & Zapekina-Dulkeit, 1977, A. kurilensis Zhiltzova, 1978, A. teleckojensis Šámal, 1939 are reported for the first time from China. Abstract:Four new species of the genus Nola Leach, 1815 (N. lufengensis sp. nov., N. lancangensis sp. nov., N. mojiangensis sp. nov. and N. hutiaoxiaensis sp. nov.) are described from Yunnan Province from China. Nola ochrolopha (Hampson, 1911) is reported from China for the first time and Nola meilingchani László, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2014 is firstly reported from mainland China. Detailed illustrations of adult and male and female genitalia are provided.

Abstract:A new loach species, Oreonectes zhangi sp. nov., was identified from Xingye County, Yulin City, Guangxi, China. The species can be distinguished from all other congeners by a combination of the following characters: six branched pelvic-fin rays; a reduced posterior chamber of air-bladder; vertebrae 4 + 32; the tip of the male pelvic fin does not reach the anus. Molecular analyses using the Cyt b gene showed that the new species forms a monophyletic group and is closely related to O. damingshanensis.

Abstract:The Chinese species of Lilioceris are revised, and three new species are described from Tibet, China: Lilioceris zhentangensis Xu & Liang, sp. nov. , Lilioceris medogensis Xu & Liang, sp. nov. and Lilioceris zayuensis Xu & Liang, sp. nov. Five species of Lilioceris are reported for China as new records: L. dromedarius (Baly, 1861), L. pulchella (Baly, 1859), L. semicostata (Jacoby, 1908), L. unicolor (Hope, 1831) and L. nepalensis Takizawa, 1989. Lilioceris seminigra (Jacoby, 1889) is proposed as a junior synonym of L. unicolor Hope, 1831. Redescriptions, habitus photographs, geographic distributions, host plants (if available) and habitats are provided for these species.

Abstract:Nostril structures are important characteristics for generic diagnosis in Nemacheilidae and Cobitidae. Based on phylogenetic analysis, we found that 10 genera within Nemacheilidae (Eonemachilus, Guinemachilus, Lefua, Micronemacheilus, Oreonectes, Paranemachilus, Protonemacheilus, Traccatichthys, Troglonectes, and Yunnanilus) shared tube-shaped anterior nostrils and formed a monophyletic group. Morphologically, the location between the anterior and posterior nostrils was divided into three types: (i) separated, i.e., a distance greater than 1.5 times the diameter of the posterior nostril; (ii) adjacent, i.e., a distance shorter than the diameter of the posterior nostril; and (iii) closely set, i.e., posterior margin of the anterior nostril connected to the anterior margin of the posterior nostril. Thus, the 10 genera can be distinguished based on nostril features. Additionally, we describe one new genus, Guinemachilus gen. nov., and two new species, Guinemachilus pseudopulcherrimus sp. nov. and Paranemachilus chongzuo sp. nov.

Abstract:Jiangsu Province is located on the southeast coast of China and lacks high-altitude mountains, with only a few hilly areas mainly distributed in its southern region. In recent years, We investigated the diversity of Plecoptera species in the major mountainous and forested areas of Jiangsu, recording a total of 20 species across 12 genera and five families.In this paper, we examined the materials of Kamimuria from Jiangsu and described a new species, K. liyangensis sp. nov. In addition, detailed English descriptions and colour pictures of K. microda are provided for the first time.

Abstract:During our studying of the fauna of Tibet, China, many specimens of the subfamily Tachininae ( Diptera , Tachinidae ) were collected and examined. Three species are described here as new to science, Leskia latisurstyla sp. nov. , Trichoformosomyia cuonaensis sp. nov. , and Tachina jilongensis sp. nov. , and two species, Nemoraea javana (Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1894) and N. echinata Mesnil, 1953, are newly recorded from Tibet. In addition to their descriptions, illustrations, and diagnoses, three identification keys are provided. The specimens in this study are kept in the Insect Collection of Shenyang Normal University, China ( SYNU ).

Abstract:This study examined the morphological and phylogenetic characteristics of Oreonectes shuilongensis sp. nov. The genus Oreonectes is distributed only in southwestern China and northern Vietnam. Sixteen specimens of cavefish were captured in the Shuilong Township in Guizhou Province of China and identified as a new species of Oreonectes (Cypriniformes: Nemacheilidae). Maximum likelihood was used to construct phylogenetic trees based on data for Nemacheilidae species accessible on GenBank. Molecular phylogenetic analyses showed that O. shuilongensis is closely related to O. platycephalus from which it is distinguished by having 6 vs. 5 branched anal rays, ratio of body length to body height 7.0-7.9 vs. 5.6-7.0, ratio of head length to distance between eyes 3.5-4.9 vs. 2.0-2.4, naked vs. scaly body, densely distributed fine black stains except on abdomen, and semitransparent body. Oreonectes shuilongensis is the only species of the genus not distributed in Guangxi Province. This study has contributed to the overall knowledge about the distribution of Oreonectes.

All specimens examined in this study were collected from the nest of an ant species Myrmica sp. (Hymenoptera, Formicidae).
