Abstract:In recent years,digital publishing share in the information society more and more,readers of the growing demand for personalized service strong traditional culture,publishing services are currently unable to meet this demand,especially for the digital home needs.For family-oriented,personalized digital publishing needs,this paper uses the method of multi-dimensional indexing metadata tissue,data mining,knowledge classification management,natural language as the three dimensions of the dynamic association to create a database;mechanical matching personalized method of data retrieval,and can take the initiative to push;through the reorganization of the publishing and content transcoding method,the layout can keep the original format of the EPUB format document;using digital watermarking and digital encryption to protect the method of combining the author's legitimate interests.In this article based on the development of family-oriented personal digital publishing services system,in practice,demonstrate the practicality of this technology.

Abstract:Nowadays, RSS is becoming a hot topic for Web applications. A lot of famous Web sites have provided RSS for users. However, making RSS files manually is boring, and so far, most sites haven't provided such a service. In this paper, we mainly describe the design, implementation and evaluation of HTML2RSS, a system to extract content from HTML Web pages based on DOM structure, and generate RSS files automatically with the extracted content. We introduce two algorithms to extract information from semi-structured Web data. The goal of HTML2RSS is to provide users with RSS files as a substitute of the HTML pages.

Abstract:Really Simple Syndication(RSS) has been widely used in our daily lives, but RSS doesn't always collect interesting articles, user has to sift through every subscription for articles they like. The ranking of unread RSS articles has the potential power to release user from this heavy burden. Although user preferences can be learned from explicit feedbacks such as rating or tagging, implicit feedback techniques which collect information by monitoring users' natural behavior instead of asking them to explicitly give feedbacks become more attractive. There are several implicit feedbacks including scrolling and gazing, however, some of them may not be effective or require special equipments. In this article, we present a model-based approach for ranking unread RSS items and make recommendations via implicit behavior analysis. Since time spent on reading has been proved to be a useful measurement for user modelling, the approach aims at learning predictive models of user preferences from their implicit feedback of reading time only. User preference are expressed by latent semantic classes, and Bayesian inference with a set of heuristics is used to reveal the probability that an article may attract the user. Experimental evaluation shows substantial improvements over existing methods.

Abstract:Knowledge sharing is to make knowledge available to other members within the organization. As the next generation Web technologies continue to emerge, the existing knowledge sharing schemes are the lack of a uniformly access to cope with the heterogeneous effects, including various knowledge presentation, information format, and distributed knowledge resources. To allow interoperability among the various sharing knowledge, a common standard is needed to uniformly access sharing knowledge. The Web feeds provide a catalytic solution to this problem. This study addresses these issues developing a RSS-based Knowledge Sharing Platform (RKSP) which is based on RSS feeds and is implemented in the Web 2.0 environment. To illustrate the RKSP applications, we demonstrate knowledge sharing of project team can be acquired from heterogeneous and distributed knowledge resources, including blog, social bookmark, and Web multimedia.

Abstract:Through analyzing the present situation of information service on Internet,the paper points out that the model of information service based on WWW search engine has been outdated.Directed by the two advanced theories of informatics in 1990s,which are the theory of ASK and Domain Analysis,and using the novel technology of Intelligent Agent,a new model of information service based on the principle of user-orientedness and subject-orientedness is developed.It's also explained that the new model is more suitable for the future.

Abstract:In recent years, different commercial Weblog subscribing systems have been proposed to return stories from users. subscribed feeds. In this paper, we propose a novel clustering-based RSS aggregator called as RSS Clusgator System (RCS) for Weblog reading. Note that an RSS feed may have several different topics. A user may only be interested in a subset of these topics. In addition there could be many different stories from multiple RSS feeds, which discuss similar topic from different perspectives. A user may be interested in this topic but do not know how to collect all feeds related to this topic. In contrast to many previous works, we cluster all stories in RSS feeds into hierarchical structure to better serve the readers. Through this way, users can easily find all their interested stories. To make the system current, we propose a flexible time window for incremental clustering. RCS utilizes both link information and content information for efficient clustering. Experiments show the effectiveness of RCS.

Abstract:With the quick development of Internet, Personalized Information Service has become one of the hot spots. Information based on RSS standard has structural pattern, which is easily searched and browsed. In this paper, we use the news source based on RSS and cluster all the news into several User Interest Classes(UIC) according to user's clicks or other implicit information, by using the judgment of text comparability. User model point, Information Sort (IS) and UIC form a user interest model with tree structure which has three layers. IS and UIC all have interest degrees. The updating of user model includes the updating of UIC and the updating of interest degrees. It is necessary to remain some additional information when using this model to recommend news to users. This User Model is well personalized and efficiently updated.

Abstract:With the development of Web services technologies,more and more public Web services have been published on the Internet.During the searching and utilizing of these public services,services' textual descriptions(such as introduction and user manual),which are generally expressed in natural language,provide great help for service consumers to locate,understand,and utilize proper Web services.Existing methods for services discovery usually try to obtain such descriptions only from services' WSDL files.However,according to this investigation,lots of Web services do not contain enough textual descriptions in their WSDL files.This paper proposes an approach to enriching textual descriptions for public Web services on the Internet using the information sources outside of WSDL files.Given a Web service,the study collects related Web pages containing its features from the Internet.Then,the enriched descriptions for the service are identified from the Web pages using information retrieval technologies.Experiments conducted on real data indicate that our approach can enrich descriptions for about half of the public services on the Internet effectively.The collected data is publicly available on the Internet.
