Abstract:Abstract We rectify a typographical error in equation (3.14) from the original version of this article, pertaining to the effective Higgs-Majoron coupling, λ(0) JJh 1 , expressed in the mass eigenbasis. Notably, the same error persisted in the computational routines used in our work. This oversight resulted in a discrepancy in the numerical calculation of the invisible Higgs decay branching fraction, Br(h 1 → JJ), affecting a subset of the sampled points. While the main conclusions remain unaltered, we provide an updated version of our results.

Abstract:The measurements of ψ(2S)→ωπ0 and ψ(2S)→π+π− in e+e− experiments are examined. It is found that the non-resonance virtual photon annihilation gives large contributions to the observed cross sections of these two processes. By including this contribution, the form factors and branching fractions of these two decay modes are revised.

Revisiting B → ππ, πK Decays in QCD Factorization Approach

Abstract:Motivated by the recent experimental data, we have revisited the B → πK, ππ decays in the framework of QCD factorization, with inclusion of the important strong penguin corrections of order α 2 s induced by b → Dg ∗ g ∗ ( D = d or s and g ∗ denotes an oﬀ-shell gluon) transitions. We ﬁnd that these higher order strong penguin contributions can provide ∼ 30% enhancement to the penguin-dominated B → πK decay rates, and such an enhancement can improve the consistency between the theoretical predictions and the experimental data signiﬁcantly, while for the tree-dominated B → ππ decays, these higher order contributions play only a minor role. When these strong penguin contributions are summed, only a small strong phase remains and the direct CP asymmetries get small corrections. We also ﬁnd patterns of the ratios between the CP -averaged branching fractions remain nearly unaﬀected even after including these higher order corrections and the πK puzzle still persists. Our results may indicate that to resolve the puzzle one would have to resort to new physics contributions in the electroweak penguin sector as found by Buras et al .
Reexamining B→ππ,π K Decays in QCD Factorization Approach

Branching ratio and $CP$ violation of $B\to Kπ$ decays in a modified perturbative QCD approach

Abstract:We calculate the branching ratio and $CP$ violations for $B\to K\pi$ decays in a modified perturbative QCD approach based on $k_{T}$ factorization. The resummation effect of the transverse momentum regulates the endpoint singularity. Using the $B$ meson wave function that is obtained in the relativistic potential model, soft contribution cannot be suppressed effectively by Sudakov factor. Soft scale cutoff and soft $BK$, $B\pi$ and $K\pi$ form factors have to be introduced. The most important next-to-leading-order contributions from the vertex corrections, the quark loops, and the magnetic penguins are also considered. In addition, the contribution of the color-octet hadronic matrix element is included which is essentially of long-distance dynamics. Our predictions for branching ratios and $CP$ violations are in good agreement with the experimental data. Especially the theoretical result of dramatic difference between the $CP$ violations of $B^+\to K^+\pi^0$ and $B^0\to K^+\pi^-$ is consistent with experimental measurement, therefore the $K\pi$ puzzle in $B$ decays can be resolved in our way of the modified perturbative QCD approach.

Abstract:In the standard model, we reinvestigate the rare decay B ->phi pi, which is viewed as an ideal probe to detect the new physics signals. We find that the tiny branching ratio in the naive factorization can be dramatically enhanced by the radiative corrections and the omega-phi mixing effect, while the long-distance contributions are negligibly small. Assuming the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa angle gamma=(58.6 +/- 10)degrees and the mixing angle theta=-(3.0 +/- 1.0)degrees, we obtain the branching ratios of B ->phi pi as Br(B-+/-->phi pi(+/-))=(3.2(-0.7+1.8)(+0.8-1.2))x10(-8) and Br(B-0 ->phi pi(0))=(6.8(-0.3+1.0)(+0.3-0.7))x10(-9). If the future experiment reports a branching ratio of (0.2-0.5)x10(-7) for B-->phi pi(-) decay, it may not be a clear signal for any new physics scenario. In order to discriminate the large new physics contributions from those due to the omega-phi mixing, we propose to measure the ratio of branching fractions of the charged and neutral B decay channel. We also study the direct CP asymmetries of these two channels: (-8.0(-1.0-0.1)(+0.9+1.5))% and (-6.3(+0.7-2.5)(-0.5+2.5))% for B-+/-->phi pi(+/-) and B-0 ->phi pi(0), respectively. These asymmetries are dominated by the mixing effect.

Abstract:We present a measurement of the branching fraction for the doubly-Cabibbo-suppressed decay D+ to K+ pi0, using 281 pb-1 of data accumulated with the CLEO-c detector on the psi(3770) resonance. We find B(D+ to K+ pi0) = (2.28 +- 0.36 +- 0.15 +- 0.08) times 10^{-4}, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the last error is due to the uncertainty in the reference mode branching fraction.
Revisiting $B\to K^*π$ and $B\to Kρ$ decays using the modified perturbative QCD approach

Abstract:We revisit $B\to K^*\pi$ and $B\to K\rho$ decay processes using the modified perturbative QCD approach, which is developed based on the perturbative QCD approach with a few improvements. A critical infrared cutoff scale $\mu_c$ is introduced to separate hard and soft contributions in the decay process. Hard contributions with scale $\mu$ larger than $\mu_c$ are calculated with perturbative QCD, and soft contributions with $\mu<\mu_c$ are described in terms of soft transition and production form factors. In addition, color-octet contributions are considered phenomenologically. The branching fractions and $CP$ violations of $B\to K^*\pi$, $K\rho$ decays are calculated. With appropriate parameter inputs, the theoretical results can be in good agreement with experimental data.
