Abstract:We respond to the issues raised in the comment by Eliseev and Kudryavtsev [Phys. Plasmas 23, 094701 (2016)]. We re-examine the principle of plasma generation and the operating situations in our plasma device, and some simplified models are founded to illustrate the qualitative relations between the pressure and the magnitude and uniformity of ne. We stand by our original conclusions in our plasma device that the magnitude and uniformity of ne are in roughly reverse proportion to the gas pressure in the chamber, as observed in the experiment.

Abstract:On our previous soliton solutions [H. L. Zhen et al., Phys. Plasmas 21, 073709 (2014)] of an extended Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation, El-Tantawy and Wazwaz [Phys. Plasmas 25, 104701 (2018)] have commented that there exists another soliton solution without any constraint for the parameters. In this Reply, we first state the correctness of our previous solutions, and then, we point out the difference between the two solutions: one is from our previous paper [H. L. Zhen et al., Phys. Plasmas 21, 073709 (2014)] and the other is from the comment by El-Tantawy and Wazwaz [Phys. Plasmas 25, 104701 (2018)]. Meanwhile, we also investigate the connections between our work and some recent literature studies.

Abstract:In a recent comment, M. Akbari-Moghanjoughi [Phys. Plasmas 17, 114701 (2010)] (whom we will refer to as A.M.) pointed out that in the quantum hydrodynamics plasma model the parameters p (the fractional positron to ion number density) and σ (the relative positron to electron Fermi temperature) are not independent quantum plasma parameters which has important consequences on the graphical interpretations presented in our article. We agree with A.M. that the phase shift cannot be plotted in a σ-p plane and the value of p=0.2 does not correspond to σ=0.02. However, the main results given by formulas and the conclusion in our paper [S.-C. Li, Phys. Plasmas 17, 082307 (2010)] are independent of the figures and remain valid. To understand and interpret the results obtained in our previous article correctly, in this response, we will show some new figures and make some discusses.

Abstract:Based on the single-fluid plasma model, a theoretical investigation of surface electromagnetic waves in a warm quantum magnetized inhomogeneous plasma is presented. The surface electromagnetic waves are assumed to propagate on the plane between a vacuum and a warm quantum magnetized plasma. The quantum magnetohydrodynamic model includes quantum diffraction effect (Bohm potential), and quantum statistical pressure is used to derive the new dispersion relation of surface electromagnetic waves. And the general dispersion relation is analyzed in some special cases of interest. It is shown that surface plasma oscillations can be propagated due to quantum effects, and the propagation velocity is enhanced. Furthermore, the external magnetic field has a significant effect on surface wave's dispersion equation. Our work should be of a useful tool for investigating the physical characteristic of surface waves and physical properties of the bounded quantum plasmas.

(Radio Science, 38(6), 1104, doi:10.1029/2003RS002913, 2003), there were some typos and formulation errors which the authors failed to check out. They are thus highlighted here for corrections: [2] The electric field of incidence wave is assumed to be E = where an E0 on the right hand side of equation (24) is missing. [3] The coefficient amnx on the right hand side of equation (30b) should be replaced by bmnx. [4] The second (−i)n on the right hand side of equation (31) is replaced by (−i)n+1. [5] In Appendix A, the spherical vector wave functions Lmn(r, k), Mmn(r, k), and Nmn(r, k) form a complete set of orthogonal basis functions; in equations (A2a)–(A2c), the coefficients tmnp(θk) (where t = a, b, or c; and p = x, y, or z) should be replaced by tmnp; and the expansion coefficients of plane wave factors tmnp are not necessarily unique.

Abstract: Recently published paper [PRL 114, 147701 (2015)] contains several misleading statements and misinterpretations of known facts. The main massage of the paper [PRL 114, 147701 (2015)] is as follows: "We have shown that explicit symmetry breaking in the structural configuration of charges leads to symmetry breaking of the electric field which results in electromagnetic radiation due to non-conservative current within a localized region of space and time" seems to transcend mere empiricism, touching the theoretical foundations of electromagnetism. Moreover, basic mistakes are numerous in this article and its main claim is wrong. Below we prove it citing the paper and arguing against it.

Abstract:In this Reply, we respond to the Comment by Schlitters et al. on our recent work [ Phys. Rev. E 108 , 045209 (2023)], where we present simulation results of ultracold Sr plasma expansion in a quadrupole magnetic field using a molecular-dynamics method. In the Comment, Schlitters et al. present their experimental results, some of which, from their point of view, contradict our simulation results and others that confirm the experiments of Gorman et al. [ Phys. Rev. Lett. 126 , 085002 (2021)] and our results. In addition, Schlitters et al. also provide results that were not described in our work. Here we show that there is not a contradiction but a misunderstanding of our results. This is due to the fact that simulations allow the use of processing methods that are difficult to obtain in experiment. We also present different simulation results related to expansion velocity variations that reflect the experimental results of Schlitters et al. and provide an explanation for the origin of these variations. https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevE.110.027202 ©2024 American Physical Society

Abstract:Dr. Brizard's comment on my work is based on a conceived procedure that does not come from my work. The defense of his claim that the modification of the so-called standard Lie's transform theory is unnecessary is also unsupported. This response reveals in detail the inconsistency issues in the so-called standard Lie's transform theory by analyzing both its results and root causes. The problem in the so-called standard Lie's transform theory is beyond the issue to take into account the ordering difference between the guiding center motion and gyromotion. The inconsistent commutation of derivative and limit causes another issue. Besides, the so-called standard Lie's transform formulation leads to an unnecessarily lengthy and tedious derivation process for a one or two page task under the singular (or renormalized) formalism described in my paper.
