Abstract:Soybean straw (SS) enriched nitrogen-containing functional groups was used as a raw material to prepare biochar by combining CO 2 and ultraviolet (UV) modification, which had high adsorption performance on SO 2 and dichloromethane (DCM). The response surface methodology (RSM) was used to investigate the effects of retention time, flow rate of CO 2 , and activation temperature on the adsorption performance of biochar. On the basis of this, further UV modification was carried out, and the dynamic adsorption curves were fitted by using the Yoon-Nelson and Thomas models. The results showed that the optimal activation condition for preparing the desulfurized biochar was activation temperature of 788 ℃, CO 2 flow rate of 400 ml/min, retention time of 57 min, UV modification temperature of 100 ℃, and time of 12 h, while that of the DCM removal biochar was activation temperature of 783 ℃, CO 2 flow rate of 550 ml/min, retention time of 47 min, UV modification temperature of 200 ℃, and time of 12 h, and the adsorption values of SO 2 and DCM at this time were 100.181 mg/g and 75.598 mg/g, respectively. Compared with the pyrolysis carbon (PC), the modified biochar had larger specific surface area, richer pores, and better adsorption performance.
