Abstract:In the title isoquinolinedione derivative, C(16)H(16)N(2)O(3)S, the piperidine ring in the tetrahydroisoquinoline ring system adopts a distorted envelope conformation. The thiazole ring is essentially planar [maximum deviation = 0.004 (1) angstrom] and is inclined at a dihedral angle of 31.08 (3)degrees with respect to the mean plane through the tetrahydroisoquinoline ring system. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions link adjacent molecules into a three-dimensional extended network. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions.

The dioxa-2-aza-spiro ring is essentially planar [maximum deviation = 0.042 (1) Å] and forms a dihedral angle of 81.85 (4)° with the benzene ring. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are linked via inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains along [010].

The dihedral angle between the least-squares planes of the pyridine and 1,3-dithiol-2-one rings is 5.96 (17)°. Abstract:In the title compound, [ZnCl2(C9H7N)(2)], the ZnII cation is coordinated by two Cl- anions and two isoquinoline ligands in a distorted ZnCl2N2 tetrahedral geometry; the two isoquinoline ring systems are twisted with respect to each other at a dihedral angle of 45.72 (8)degrees. The parallel isoqiunoline ring systems of adjacent molecules are partially overlapped, with the shorter face-to-face distance of 3.438 (19) A indicating the existence of weak pi-pi stacking in the crystal structure.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Zn(C6H4NO2)(C6H6N4S2)(H2O)(3)](2)(C6H4NO2)(2)center dot[Zn(C6H4NO2)(2)(C6H6N4S2)(H2O)(2)]center dot 4H(2)O, consists of four discrete components. In the neutral complex the Zn ion is located on a crystallographic twofold axis. The two thiazole rings of the diaminobithiazole ligand are twisted with respect to each other [dihedral angle = 13.85 (9)degrees] in the neutral complex but are coplanar [dihedral angle = 3.54 (15)degrees] in the cationic complex. pi-pi stacking is observed between nearly parallel pyridine rings.

Abstract:In the molecular structure of the title compound, C20H15NO2, the isoindolin-1-one unit is planar, the maximum atomic deviation being 0.048 (2) Å. The two biphenyl rings are twisted with respect to the isoindolin-1-one plane, making dihedral angles of 33.21 (9) and 33.34 (9)°. The two benzene rings of the biphenyl substituent are oriented at a dihedral angle of 35.43 (11)° to each other. An intramolecular O—H⋯O interaction occurs and intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure.

Abstract:The title compound 2,2-pentamethylene-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinazolin-4-one is of monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n with a = 10.387(1), b = 10.954(2), c = 10.827(2) Angstrom, beta = 110.77(1)degrees, C13H16N2O, M-r = 216.28, Z = 4, V = 1151.8(4) Angstrom(3), D-c = 1.247 g/cm(3), mu(MoKalpha) = 0.080 mm(-1), F(000) = 464, R = 0.0499 and wR = 0.1217 for 1575 observed reflections (I > 2sigma(I)). X-ray analysis reveals that the pyrimidine and cyclohexane rings adopt half-chair and chair configurations, respectively. In addition, there exists an intermolecular hydrogen bond (N(1)-H(1)...O) in the product molecule.

Abstract:The title compound, C(12)H(10)N(2)O, is approximately planar. The angle between the quinoline and 4,5-dihydro-oxazole ring systems is 11.91 (12)°. The mol-ecules pack into a herringbone array with no significant π-π inter-actions. The dihydro-oxazole N and O atoms are disordered over two positions, with almost equal site occupancy factors.
