Abstract:The title compound, C(24)H(22)N(2)O(2), was prepared by condensation of 1,2-bis-(4-ethoxy-phen-yl)ethane-1,2-dione and 1,2-diamino-benzene. The asymmetric unit contains one half-mol-ecule, close to a twofold axis. The plane of the quinoxaline ring is twisted with respect to the planes of the two ethoxy-phenyl ring systems, exhibiting dihedral angles of 39.95 (9)°. The crystal packing is dominated by weak C-H⋯π inter-actions. No classical hydrogen bonds or stacking inter-actions are observed.

Abstract:In the molecule of the title compound, C19H17ClN2O4, the quinoxaline ring system is planar [maximum deviation = 0.013 (3)angstrom] and oriented at a dihedral angle of 80.18 (3)degrees with respect to the benzene ring. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot N interactions link molecules into chains. pi-pi contacts between the quinoxaline systems [centroid-centroid distance = 3.654 (1) angstrom] may further stabilize the structure.

Abstract:The title compound, C(12)H(10)N(2)O, is approximately planar. The angle between the quinoline and 4,5-dihydro-oxazole ring systems is 11.91 (12)°. The mol-ecules pack into a herringbone array with no significant π-π inter-actions. The dihydro-oxazole N and O atoms are disordered over two positions, with almost equal site occupancy factors.

Abstract:In the title compound, C12H9NOS, the sulfoxide O atom is disordered over two sites with occupancies of 0.907 (4) and 0.093 (4). The dihedral angle betweeen the two aromatic rings is 18.40 (14)degrees. Different types of supramolecular interactions including intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds and pi-pi contacts [centroid-centroid distances = 3.9096 (16) and 4.1423 (16) angstrom] between the aromatic rings of symmetry-related molecules are observed in the crystal structure.

Abstract:There are two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C15H13NO2, in both the six-membered dihydropyridine rings adopt a half-chair conformation. The two benzene rings make dihedral angles of 43.66 (10) and 62.22 (10)degrees in the two molecules. In the crystal, the two independent molecules are linked alternately by intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, forming a zigzag chain along the c axis. Furthermore, intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions link the chains into a three-dimensional network.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(16)H(15)NO, the two aromatic rings are approximately perpendicular; the carbonyl group is twisted out of the adjacent benzene ring by 14.8 (2)°. In the heterocyclic ring, the C atom linked to the carbonyl group and the C atom linked to the N atom have opposite deviations of 0.467 (5) and 0.184 (4) Å, respectively, from the plane of the benzene ring. The N atom lies approximately in the plane of the phenyl ring. There are no conventional hydrogen bonds; the packing of mol-ecules in the crystal structure is stabilized by van der Waals forces.

Abstract:In the title compound, C16H13IN2, the benzene ring of the tetrahydroisoquinoline moiety makes a dihedral angle of 45.02 (9)degrees with the benzene ring of the 4-iodophenyl fragment. The N atom and the adjacent unsubstituted C atom of the tetrahydroisoquinoline unit are displaced by 0.294 (2) and 0.441 (3) angstrom, respectively, from the plane through the remaining eight C atoms. In the crystal, pairs of adjacent molecules are linked into dimers by weak intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions.
