Abstract: We introduce a new curvature-pinching condition, which is weaker than the positive sectional curvature or PIC1, and then we prove several rigidity results for the rotationally symmetric solutions of steady Ricci solitons, i.e., the Bryant Ricci solitons.

In particular, we prove: any 4d noncompact κ-noncollapsed steady gradient Ricci soliton (M^4, g) with nonnegative sectional curvature must be a Bryant Ricci soliton up to scaling if it admits a sequence of rescaled flows of (M^4, g), which converges subsequently to a family of shrinking quotient cylinders.
A rigidity result for axisymmetric toric Ricci solitons

Abstract:We examine a non-axisymmetric perturbation of a family of axisymmetric toric Einstein manifolds and Ricci solitons studied in Firester-Tsiamis (2024). We establish a rigidity result stating that these axisymmetric Ricci solitons do not admit constant-angle non-axisymmetric perturbations except for conformally flat cases. For these new cases, our result leads to an explicit description of the Einstein metrics and a classification of the Ricci solitons under a volume-collapsing ansatz.

Abstract:In this paper, we give a rigidity theorem for a complete non-compact expanding (or steady) Ricci soliton with nonnegative Ricci curvature and certain scalar curvature decay condition. As an application, we prove that any complete non-compact expanding (or steady) Kähler-Ricci solitons with positively pinched Ricci curvature should be Ricci flat. The result answers a question proposed by Chow, Lu and Ni in case of Kähler-Ricci solitons.

Abstract:Suppose $(M^n, g, f)$ is a complete shrinking gradient Ricci soliton. We give several rigidity results under some natural conditions, generalizing the results in \cite{Petersen-Wylie,Guan-Lu-Xu}. Using maximum principle, we prove that shrinking gradient Ricci soliton with constant scalar curvature $R=1$ is isometric to a finite quotient of $\mathbb{R}^2\times \mathbb{S}^2$, giving a new proof of the main results of Cheng-Zhou \cite{Cheng-Zhou}.

Abstract:In this paper we prove that any $n$-dimensional ($n\ge 4$) complete Bach-flat gradient steady Ricci soliton with positive Ricci curvature is isometric to the Bryant soliton. We also show that a three-dimensional gradient steady Ricci soliton with divergence-free Bach tensor is either flat or isometric to the Bryant soliton. In particular, these results improve the corresponding classification theorems for complete locally conformally flat gradient steady Ricci solitons in [6] and [9].

Abstract:We prove the existence of a one-parameter family of pairwise non-isometric, complete, positively curved, steady generalized Ricci solitons of gradient type on $\mathbb{R}^3$ that are invariant under the natural cohomogeneity one action of SO(3). In the context of generalized Ricci flow, this result represents the analogue of Bryant's construction of the complete rotationally invariant steady soliton for the Ricci flow.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish the rigidity of the generalized cylinder $N^n \times \mathbb R^{m-n}$, or a quotient thereof, in the space of Ricci shrinkers equipped with the pointed-Gromov-Hausdorff topology. Here, $N$ is a stable Einstein manifold that has an obstruction of order $3$. The proof is based on a quantitative characterization of the rigidity of compact Ricci shrinkers, a rigidity inequality of mixed orders on generalized cylinders, and the method of contraction and extension. As an application, we prove the uniqueness of the tangent flow for general compact Ricci flows under the assumption that one tangent flow is a generalized cylinder.

Abstract:For compact submanifolds in Euclidean and Spherical space forms with Ricci curvature bounded below by a function $\alpha(n,k,H,c)$ of mean curvature, we prove that the submanifold is either isometric to the Einstein Clifford torus, or a topological sphere for the maximal bound $\alpha(n,[\frac{n}{2}],H,c)$, or has up to $k$-th homology groups vanishing. This gives an almost complete (except for the differentiable sphere theorem) characterization of compact submanifolds with pinched Ricci curvature, generalizing celebrated rigidity results obtained by Ejiri, Xu-Tian, Xu-Gu, Xu-Leng-Gu, Vlachos, Dajczer-Vlachos.
