Abstract:A simple, air-stable, inexpensive and easily prepared molecule, N-methyliminodiacetic acid (MIDA), is reported as a ligand for palladium-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction of phenylboronic acid with aryl chlorides. The yield of the corresponding Suzuki coupling reaction is up to around 90% at both high temperature of 80 degrees C and room temperature under ambient atmosphere. Abstract:A copper-catalyzed cross-coupling of heterocyclic thiols with aryl iodides is reported. The reaction was carried out in the presence of CuI (5 mol %), 1,10-phenanthroline (10 mol %) and K2CO3 (1.3 equiv) in DMF at 120 °C. A variety of heterocyclic sulfides were prepared in high selectivities and yields.

Abstract:A copper-catalyzed cross-coupling of iodobenzoates with bromozinc-difluorophosphonate, generated from diethyl bromodifluoromethylphosphonate and zinc in dioxane, is reported. The notable features of this reaction are its high reaction efficiency, excellent functional group compatibility, and operational simplicity. This protocol provides a useful and facile access to aryldifluorophosphonates of interest in life science.

Abstract:The heterogeneous cross‐coupling reaction of aryl iodides with diphenylphosphine was achieved in toluene at 115 °C in the presence of 10 mol% of phenanthroline‐functionalized MCM‐41‐supported copper (I) complex (Phen‐MCM‐41‐CuI) with Cs2CO3 as base, yielding various unsymmetric triarylphosphines in good to excellent yields. This protocol can tolerate a wide range of functional groups and does not need the use of expensive additives or harsh reaction conditions. This heterogeneous Cu (I) catalyst exhibited the same catalytic activity as homogeneous CuI/Phen system, and could easily be recovered by a simple filtration of the reaction solution and recycled up to seven times without significant loss of activity.

Abstract:A protocol for the copper-catalyzed C–S bond formation between aryl, alkyl, or heteroaryl thiols and aryl or heteroaryl halides is reported. The reaction is catalyzed by Cu2O which shows the highest catalytic activity with ethyl 2-oxocyclohexanecarboxylate ligand in DMSO at 80°C. The corresponding coupling products are obtained with good to excellent yields under relatively mild reaction conditions with good chemoselectivity and functional group tolerance.

Abstract:The expansion of cross-coupling components in Cu-catalyzed C-X bond forming reactions have received much attention recently. A novel Cu-catalyzed trifluoromethylthiolation of aryl bromides and iodides with the assistance of versatile directing groups such as pyridyl, methyl ester, amide, imine and oxime was reported. CuBr was used as the catalyst, and 1,10-phenanthroline as the ligand. By changing the solvent from acetonitrile to DMF, the coupling process could even take place at room temperature.

Abstract:The indazolium halides containing various N-substituents have been conveniently prepared and applied in the palladium-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions of aryl bromides with arylboronic acids at mild reaction conditions. The cross-coupling reaction provides the desired products in good to high yields. The ease of synthesis and the modularity, and the broad range of aryl bromides and arylboronic acids make this type of ligand attractive and promising for transition metal catalysis. Abstract:Abstract: A highly efficient and simple cross-coupling reaction of N-aryl aluminum reagents with Naryl thiosuccinimides for the synthesis of diarylsulide derivatives using CuCl (20 mol%) as a catalyst is reported. Under the optimum reaction conditions, the coupling reaction between aryl aluminum reagents with different substituents and N-aryl thiosuccinimides with different substituents can be carried out smoothly with 18-94% isolated yields of diarylsulides. The method avoids the use of expensive transition metals, such as Pd, Ir, or Rh, phosphine ligands, and has the advantages of simple operation and high reaction efficiency. The structures of all the target compounds are confirmed by 1 HNMR and 13CNMR.

Abstract:A highly efficient and simple route for the synthesis of 2-alknyl benzo[ d ]thiazoles has been developed by palladium and copper catalyzed the cross-coupling reaction of 2-thiobenzo[ d ]thiazoles with (hetero)aromatic and aliphatic alkynylaluminum reagents. Various 2-alkynyl benzo[ d ]thiazole derivatives can be obtained in 19–97 % isolated yields using 1 mol% PdCl 2 (dppf)/5 mol% xanthpos as the catalyst and CuI (3 equiv.) as desulfurization agent. The cross-coupling reaction can be carried out smoothly with electron-donating or -withdrawing groups on the aromatic ring of the organo aluminum reagents or the 2-thiobenzo[ d ]thiazoles. Furthermore, the broad substrate scope and the maintenance of high efficiency on a gram scale make this protocol a potentially practical method to synthesize 2-alkynylbenzo[ d ]thiazole derivatives.
