Abstract:The generalized piecewise-Koszul algebras(also called K_p algebras for short) are generally a class of quadratic algebras whose trivial modules admitting non-pure resolutions. Abstract:Let A be a bi-Koszul algebra. We describe all possible A∞-algebra structures on the Ext-algebra E(A) and prove that E(A) must be [m2,m3]-finitely generated. We give an equivalent description of the condition for a connected graded algebra to be a bi-Koszul algebra in the language of A∞-algebras. We discuss decomposition in the case that E(A) is endowed with minimal number of multiplications.

Abstract:We discuss certain homological properties of graded algebras whose trivial modules admit nonpure resolutions. Such algebras include both of Artin-Schelter regular algebras of types (12221) and (13431). Under certain conditions, a module with nonpure resolution is decomposed to form an extension by two modules with pure resolutions.

Abstract:It is a small step toward the Koszul-type algebras. The piecewise-Koszul algebras are, in general, a new class of quadratic algebras but not the classical Koszul ones, simultaneously they agree with both the classical Koszul and higher Koszul algebras in special cases. We give a criteria theorem for a graded algebra $A$ to be piecewise-Koszul in terms of its Yoneda-Ext algebra $E(A)$, and show an $A_{\infty}$-structure on $E(A)$. Relations between Koszul algebras and piecewise-Koszul algebras are discussed. In particular, our results are related to the third question of Green-Marcos' [6].

Abstract:This paper examines (restricted) Koszul Lie algebras, a class of positively graded Lie algebras with a quadratic presentation and specific cohomological properties. The study employs HNN-extensions as a key tool for decomposing and analysing these algebras. Building on a previous work on Koszul Lie algebras ("Kurosh theorem for certain Koszul Lie algebras", S. Blumer), this paper also deals with Bloch-Kato Lie algebras, which constitute a distinguished subclass of that of Koszul Lie algebras where all subalgebras generated by elements of degree $1$ have a quadratic presentation. It is shown that Bloch-Kato Lie algebras satisfy a version of the Levi decomposition theorem and that they satisfy the Toral Rank Conjecture. Two new families of such Lie algebras are introduced, including all graded Lie algebras generated in degree $1$ and defined by two quadratic relations. Throughout the paper, we show many properties of right-angled Artin graded (RAAG) Lie algebras, which form a large class of Koszul Lie algebras.

Abstract:The main aim of this article is to discuss the piecewise-Koszul property of finitely generated modules in the nongraded case. In particular, the notion of quasi-piecewise-Koszul module, a natural extension of quasi-Koszul modules (see [2]), quasi-d-Koszul modules (see [12] or [6]) and piecewise-Koszul modules (see [7]), is introduced. Let R be a Noetherian semiperfect algebra with Jacobson radical J and M a finitely generated R-module. The structure of the graded E(R) = circle plus(i >= 0) Ext(R)(i) (R/J, R/J) module E(M) = circle plus(i >= 0) Ext(R)(i) (M, R/J) is studied in detail and some necessary and sufficient conditions for a finitely generated R-module to be quasi-piecewise-Koszul are provided. Moreover, as an application of quasi-piecewise-Koszul modules, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the minimal Horseshoe Lemma to be true in the category of quasi-piecewise-Koszul modules, which perfects Theorem 2.8 of [13] and Theorem 3.1 of [9]. Finally, some applications of the minimal Horseshoe Lemma are also given.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is mainly to build a new representation-theoretic realization of finite root systems through the so-called Frobenius-type triangular matrix algebras by the method of reflection functors over any field. Finally, we give an analog of APR-tilting module for this class of algebras. The major conclusions contains the known results as special cases, e.g. that for path algebras over an algebraically closed field and for path algebras with relations from symmetrizable cartan matrices. Meanwhile, it means the corresponding results for some other important classes of algebras, that is, the path algebras of quivers over Frobenius algebras and the generalized path algebras endowed by Frobenius algebras at vertices.

Abstract:Koszul algebras have arisen in many contexts; algebraic geometry, combinatorics, Lie algebras, non-commutative geometry and topology. The aim of this paper and several sequel papers is to show that for any finite dimensional algebra there is always a naturally associated Koszul theory. To obtain this, the notions of Koszul algebras, linear modules and Koszul duality are extended to additive (graded) categories over a field. The main focus of this paper is to provide these generalizations and the necessary preliminaries.

Abstract:This article develops a practical technique for studying representations of $\Bbbk$-linear categories arising in the categorification of quantum groups. We work in terms of locally unital algebras which are $\mathbb{Z}$-graded with graded pieces that are finite-dimensional and bounded below, developing a theory of graded triangular bases for such algebras. The definition is a graded extension of the notion of triangular basis introduced in previous joint work with Stroppel. However, in the general graded setting, finitely generated projective modules often fail to be Noetherian, so that existing results from the study of highest weight categories are not directly applicable. Nevertheless, we show that there is still a good theory of standard modules. In motivating examples arising from Kac-Moody 2-categories, these modules categorify the PBW bases for the modified forms of quantum groups constructed by Wang.

Abstract:We introduce Koszul modules associated with (graded) Kac-Moody Lie algebras. We provide a precise criterion for when these modules are of finite length. As an exemplary application we deduce a bound on the dimension of the second graded component for a certain class of graded Kac-Moody Lie algebras. We also provide an exact description of all nilpotent Kac-Moody Koszul modules.

Abstract:Working over an algebraically closed field $k$ of any characteristic, we determine the matrix factorizations for the --- suitably graded --- triangle singularities $f=x^a+y^b+z^c$ of domestic type, that is, we assume that $(a,b,c)$ are integers at least two, satisfying $1/a+1/b+1/c>1$. Using work by Kussin-Lenzing-Meltzer, this is achieved by determining projective covers in the Frobenius category of vector bundles on the weighted projective line of weight type $(a,b,c)$. Equivalently, in a representation-theoretic context, we can work in the mesh category of $\mathbb{Z}\tilde\Delta$ over $k$, where $\tilde\Delta$ is the extended Dynkin diagram, corresponding to the Dynkin diagram $\Delta=[a,b,c]$. Our work is related to, but in methods and results different from, the determination of matrix factorizations for the $\mathbb{Z}$-graded simple singularities by Kajiura-Saito-Takahashi. In particular, we obtain symmetric matrix factorizations whose entries are scalar multiples of monomials, with scalars taken from $\{0,\pm1\}$.

Abstract:We construct algebras from rhombohedral tilings of Euclidean space obtained as projections of certain cubical complexes. We show that these ‘Cubist algebras’ satisfy strong homological properties, such as Koszulity and quasi-heredity, reflecting the combinatorics of the tilings. We construct derived equivalences between Cubist algebras associated to local mutations in tilings. We recover as a special case the Rhombal algebras of Michael Peach and make a precise connection to weight 2 blocks of symmetric groups.

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebra, $U_q(\mathfrak{g})$ its quantum group, and $U_q(\mathfrak{k}) \subset U_q(\mathfrak{g})$ a quantum symmetric pair subalgebra determined by a Lie algebra automorphism $\theta$. We introduce a category $W_\theta$ of weight $U_q(\mathfrak{k})$-modules, which is acted upon by the category of weight $U_q(\mathfrak{g})$-modules via tensor products. We construct a universal tensor K-matrix $\mathbb{K}$ (that is, a solution of a reflection equation) in a completion of $U_q(\mathfrak{k}) \otimes U_q(\mathfrak{g})$. This yields a natural operator on any tensor product $M \otimes V$, where $M\in W_\theta$ and $V\in \mathcal{O}_\theta$, that is $V$ is a $U_q(\mathfrak{g})$-module in category $\mathcal{O}$ satisfying an integrability property determined by $\theta$. $W_\theta$ is equipped with a structure of a bimodule category over $\mathcal{O}_\theta$ and the action of $\mathbb{K}$ is encoded by a new categorical structure, which we call a boundary structure on $W_\theta$. This generalizes a result of Kolb which describes a braided module structure on finite-dimensional $U_q(\mathfrak{k})$-modules when $\mathfrak{g}$ is finite-dimensional. We apply our construction to the case of an affine Lie algebra, where it yields a formal tensor K-matrix valued in the endomorphisms of the tensor product of any module in $W_\theta$ and any finite-dimensional module over the corresponding quantum affine algebra. This formal series is normalized to a trigonometric K-matrix if the factors in the tensor product are both finite-dimensional irreducible modules over the quantum affine algebra.

Abstract:Let $A = \bigoplus_{i \geqslant 0} A_i$ be a graded locally finite $k$-algebra such that $A_0$ is an arbitrary finite-dimensional algebra satisfying a certain splitting condition. In this paper we develop a generalized Koszul theory preserving many classical results. Moreover, we define a quotient graded algebra $\bar{A} = \bigoplus_{i \geqslant 0} \bar{A}_i$ and show that $A$ is a generalized Koszul algebra if and only if $\bar{A}$ is a classical Koszul algebra and a projective $A_0$-module. We also describe an application of this theory to the extension algebras of standard modules of standardly stratified algebras.

Abstract:We give a proof of the parabolic/singular Koszul duality for the category O of affine Kac-Moody algebras. The main new tool is a relation between moment graphs and finite codimensional affine Schubert varieties. We apply this duality to q-Schur algebras and to cyclotomic rational double affine Hecke algebras. This yields a proof of a conjecture of Chuang-Miyachi relating the level-rank duality with the Ringel-Koszul duality of cyclotomic rational double affine Hecke algebras.
