Abstract:Digital Transformation means a comprehensive digitalization experience that transforms business processes, business models, customer relations, and operations of organizations and leads to revolutionary changes in all business structures from past to present. It has gradually increased its importance due to the rapid development and spread of technology, especially concepts such as industry 4.0 and society 5.0. While moving to Society 5.0, it has become essential to use technology and benefit from the opportunities it offers for a society that will create its future. Universities, which try to contribute to the development of society, have rapidly increased their research on digital transformation. The aim of the research is to analyze the postgraduate studies conducted in Turkey between the years 2016-2021 regarding the concept of digital transformation, to identify the concepts and areas in which the studies are concentrated and to contribute to the determination of the research topic in future studies. As a result of the analysis made among the theses published by the National Thesis Center within the scope of the research, it was determined that a total of 98 studies were carried out on 24 different subjects related to digital transformation. It has been determined that the number and diversity of studies for the concept of digital transformation, which concerns the public and its future, is limited in terms of graduate thesis studies. It would be beneficial to conduct interdisciplinary thesis studies with a wider perspective on the concept of digital transformation, which permeates every aspect of daily life.

Abstract:Aim: This study was carried out to determine the reasons for choosing the department of interior architecture at Eskişehir Technical University. Method: In the study, a questionnaire prepared by the researchers and approved by the Ethics Committee was sent to the 105 first year students who were enrolled via e-posta in the Department of Interior Architecture of Eskişehir Technical University in the 2021-2022 Fall semester. The obtained data were evaluated using descriptive statistics in a computer environment. Findings: In the study, arithmetic mean value and frequencies were used to reveal the reasons for preference. In this study, in which 73.6% of those who preferred the department were women, it was found that the most effective factors among the reasons for choosing the department were among the individual factors, and the actors with the least effect were the actors with an arithmetic mean value of 1.83. In addition, it has been revealed that 96.5% of the students have professional knowledge. In the question about the definition of the profession, it was learned that 73.3% of the students’ made definitions that are not related to the definition of profession. Conclusion: It has been revealed that the most effective factors in students' preference for the department are that the profession, which is among the individual factors, makes them happy and that they realize their own wishes, while the most ineffective factor is external actors, and students prefer them in line with their own wishes.
Use of waste materials as kindergarten decoration

Abstract:The theoretical part of the Diploma thesis presents the development in a child, focusing on the motor, cognitive and perceptual development. The thesis further describes the technical education in kindergarten, its importance for the children, phases of technical education in kindergarten, and safe work procedures or how to work safely. To continue, I also provided a brief description of creativity, as it is connected to technical education. In addition, I studied the document entitled Kurikulum za vrtce (Curriculum for Kindergartens), exploring how individual areas are linked to technical education or which areas include technical education. The empirical part of the Diploma thesis is based on a questionnaire. I sent out 130 questionnaires, but only 100 (77%) of those were returned to me. The questions covered two areas: the use of waste materials for the production of decorations in kindergartens, and technical education and knowledge for making decorations. Based on the returned questionnaires, I found that a substantial proportion of childcare workers place a heavy emphasis on the repeated use of waste materials for decoration. In my opinion, some areas of technical education still have room to improve the pedagogical process, but the general situation is satisfactory. Abstract:Most establishments including academic institutions under goes the lengthy process of study-based document handling such as direct mailing, indexing and tracking. This daily task is time consuming and resource-intensive. Using a private network dedicated for such document management would benefit the establishment increasing operational efficiency. In this study, the Information and Communication Engineering (ICE) Department was used as a model to determine the requirements needed to build the intranet network. A packet tracer simulator was used to build a virtual intranet <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://architecture.Then" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> the simulation report was examined to ensure optimum functionality. Upon establishing a stable behavior an intranet infrastructure building commenced using the available hardware components and <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://software.The" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> system architecture was based on Windows 2012R2 server to manage 3 separated sub-networks connected to three switches and one router. Running the intranet for one semester proved its success in providing a fast, cheap and simplified service for all department needs. The accomplished system is a step forward to achieve a full electronic department in scientific establishments.

Abstract:The purpose of this research was aimed to determine the digital literacy skills of undergraduate students studying in different departments of the university according to the variables of gender, type of faculty, and daily internet use. In order to achieve this goal, 388 undergraduate students studying at the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at İzmir Democracy University were determined as participants. The “Personal Information Form” prepared by the researchers and the “Digital Literacy Scale (DLS)” developed by Bayrakcı & Narmanlıoğlu (2021) and consisting of six sub-dimensions were used as data collection tools. According to the findings of the research, it was determined that the digital literacy levels of the students were moderate. When examined according to the gender variable, a significant difference was found between female and male students in the sub-dimensions of digital literacy levels. When examined according to the faculty variable, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the sub-dimensions of digital literacy levels, Daily Use, Professional Production, and Privacy and Security. As a result of the research, according to the daily internet usage variable, a significant difference was found between the General Knowledge and Functional Skills sub-dimensions of the digital literacy levels of the students according to the daily internet usage time. It is expected that the results obtained will contribute to the literature and draw attention to the development of digital literacy skills of university students.

Abstract:In this study, it was aimed to determine the digital literacy levels of university students. The study also aimed to examine the differentiation status of university students in terms of various variables of digital literacy levels. In addition, in the study, the digital literacy levels of university students were determined by gender, type of education (normal/secondary education), higher education level (associate / undergraduate/graduate), higher education program they are enrolled in, grade point average, class, average monthly income, social network with the most time spent. It is also aimed to examine the differentiation status in terms of the variables of average internet usage time during the day, the preferred tool for internet use, and the educational status of the parents. In this study, the survey model, which is one of the quantitative patterns, was used. The population of the study consisted of a total of 17,006 students, 11,500 undergraduate and 5,506 associate degree students, studying in 11 faculties, 4 colleges and 9 vocational colleges in the 2021-2022 academic year at a state university located in the Eastern Anatolia Region. The sample consisted of randomly selected 688 university students. The "Digital Literacy Scale" developed by Bayrakçı and Narmanlıoğlu in 2021 was used as a data collection tool. In the analysis process, nonparametric techniques were used since the data could not meet the assumptions of parametric techniques. As a result of the study, it was seen that the digital literacy levels of university students were low. In addition, it was concluded that there were statistically significant differences between university students' grade point averages, the social network they spend the most time on, the preferred tool in internet use, and the educational status of their parents and their digital literacy levels. Various suggestions were developed considering the results of the study.

Abstract:Human resources, which have strategic importance for businesses, are equally important in increasing the development level of a country. Well-trained qualified human resources contribute to development as well as meeting the needs in the labor market. Thus, universities play a key role in producing a well-qualified workforce. Universities’ updating themselves in line with the market needs and training workforce by cooperating with the industry contributes to the participation of the workforce in the labor market at a level that meets the needs of the market. Besides, it reduces the huge number of the unemployed with a diploma who have knowledge that is useless in business and do not know what to do with this knowledge. The main purpose of education should be to develop skills that will add value to organizations, achieve their goals, and provide sustainable competitive advantage. Its success is possible by supporting theoretical knowledge with practical training. As such, vocational colleges, which have adopted the mission of training intermediate staff for years and have been experiencing various difficulties today, have started to implement a new education model. In the 3+1 education model, which is based on practical training in the workplace, students complete three semesters of theoretical courses and spend the final semester practicing at work. In this study, the effectiveness of the 3+1 education model based on 3-semester lectures and one-semester workplace practice applied in vocational schools is measured. For this purpose, the satisfaction levels of students studying at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Vocational School of Social Sciences and the effectiveness of the model were measured through a questionnaire. According to the findings, it was concluded that the 3+1 education model is effective in terms of students, employers, and schools. In general, the study is beneficial in revealing the effectiveness of the 3+1 education model, its benefits for stakeholders, and the problems it brings.

Abstract:Günümüzde gelişmekte olan ülkelerin birçoğunda geleneksel kağıt belge yönetimi yapılmaktadır. Ancak e-posta, web sayfaları ve veritabanları gibi bilgisayarlarda ve sunucularda depolanan elektronik dökümantasyon biçimleri de yaygınlaşmaktadır. Bir eğitim kurumunda ya da işletmelerde elektronik belge yönetim sistemleri, yönetim için en gerekli araçlardan birisi haline gelmektedir. Ancak bu gereksinim eğitim kurumunun ya da işletmenin ihtiyaçları gözönüne alınarak dikkatli bir biçimde yerine getirilmelidir. Kurumlar, kurum içerisindeki verilerin oluşturmak,, depolamak ve organize etmek ve tüm senkronizasyon süreçleri için bir Elektronik Belge Yönetim Sistemine (EBYS) sahip olmalıdır. Bu çalışmada bir kurum için system gereksinimleri analizleri, yazılım tasarımı ve mevcut kaynakların tanımlanması yapıldı ve bu bilgiler dorultusunda system başarılı bir şekilde gerçeklendi. Diğer sistemlerden farklı olarak EBYS üzerinde belge yönetimi elektronik imza uygulaması ile gerçekleşmektedir. Bu çalışmada PC tabanlı olan, arama, güvenilirlik, belge güvenliği gibi özelliklere sahip ve kağıt tabanlı sistemlere göre zaman ve maliyet avantajı olan bir EBYS sistemi gerçeklenmiştir.

Abstract:Preventing high school dropout is a serious problem that many countries has to face nowadays.To continue education young people is quite important both themselves and for the welfare of society. Have a quality of education background is enhance individuals’ self confidence and improve quality of life as a result it also effects welfare of the society. However, dropouts have economic insufficiency and also they don’t have health ınsurance so they can’t provide their families.. For this reason goverments developing school based prevention programs for support dropout students. Thi studies selection criteria of intervention programs is studying with high school students and including counseling applications.. In literature review; dropout prevention programs gathered under the following headings; academic support, individual and group counselling sessions, vocational counseling, early warning systems and parent involvement. Relating to the literatür review it is observed that effective intervension programs should have a strong bonding with students, teachesr and parents. Abstract:In this study, a virtual laboratory has been developed to enable the effective running of applied courses in formal and distance education. Embedded systems, field programmable gate arrays (FPGA), application programming interfaces (API), and web‐based software infrastructure are used together in the virtual laboratory. Experiments belonging to digital electronics and digital communication courses can be performed by the students in the developed experiment set. Process steps performed by the student in the experiments can be followed by the designed log circuit. Every transaction performed on the experiment set was recorded and a web environment was provided to the educators where they could evaluate the experiment process. Two groups of students were formed to evaluate the success of the virtual laboratory. The first group performed the circuit setup using the traditional method and the second group on the developed virtual laboratory. According to the survey questions directed to the students, it was revealed that the use of the virtual laboratory informal and distance education would bring positive results and provide equal opportunities for disadvantaged individuals. At the same time, it was revealed that a virtual laboratory has been developed that will provide cost benefits in educational institutions.

Abstract:This study aims to explain the relationships between secondary school students' digital literacy, computer programming self-efficacy and computational thinking self-efficacy. The study group consists of 204 secondary school students. A relational survey model was used in the research method and three different data collection tools were used to collect data. The structural equation model was used in data analysis to reveal a model that explains and predicts the relationships between variables. According to the results of the research, it was determined that digital literacy of secondary school students affected their computer programming self-efficacy, digital literacy affected their computational thinking self-efficacy, and computer programming self-efficacy affected their computational thinking self-efficacy. It was also found that digital literacy skills have an indirect effect on secondary students' computational thinking self-efficacy on computational thinking self-efficacy.

Abstract:Today computers have become an integral part of life. However, most people's interaction with computers in on end-user-level. Computer engineers are needed while designing and developing a structure of computer systems, software and hardware systems and also they need when implementing and solving problems while using these systems. Training of qualified computer engineers is vital to have a say in future technology. Recently, big data analysis, cloud technologies, wearable technologies, mobile and online services become popular. For that reason, computer engineering education should update itself regularly and keep up with the latest improvements. In this study, it is touched on some topics which are suggested to extend computer engineering curricula such as big data analyses, wearable technologies internet of things, cloud technologies, identity management and cyber security which are expected to widening in the area and also demanded that computer engineering student should be qualified on. Related topics will be described and usage areas will be explained, developments and future roles will be mentioned and also expected achievements will be described. These achievement's relevance with learning outcomes of departments which are accredited by MUDEK will be defined.

Abstract:This era could be named as “National and International Exams Era”. Exams can be produced test anxiety and it affects physical, social, cognitive, behavioral and psychological conditions of a person. High expectations on exam’s score, family’s high expectations that above a student’ cognitive talents, ineffective study styles and fear of being connected between IQ level of a student with the exam’s score lead to anxiety. University entrance exams are perceived as the final exams in adolescence’s life, which is the most important predictor of one’s profession. In this qualitative study, semi-structured interview question form was developed and in total of 30 vocational high school students enrolled in 12th grade voluntarily participated in the study. One theme was emerged: Teachers’ effect. Four categories were named as University entrance exams, Elementary school, Counseling, and Demands. Codes for first category are metaphors and time management. For Elementary school category one code was emerged: Lack of pre-requisite learning. The third category is named as Counseling Unit and it has three codes: Lack of psychological support, High expectations of families, and low expectations of teachers. The fourth category is Demands: Giving information in the high school education process, and Needs for younger teachers. The results showed that various expectations exist from counseling department in a high school such as letting parents know the real cognitive skills of their child, providing open communication between teachers and students, offering vocational guidance starting from 9th grade. Sınavlar bireylerde kaygıya neden olmakta, fiziksel, sosyal, bilişsel, davranışsal ve psikolojik durumunu etkilemektedir. Sınav sonuçlarıyla ilgili yüksek beklenti, ailelerin çocuklarının yeteneklerinin çok üstünde bilişsel yetenek sergilemelerini beklemeleri, etkisiz çalışma stilleri, zekâ seviyeleri sınav başarıları arasında bağlantı kuran insanların varlığı endişeye neden olmaktadır. Bir ergenin hayatında en önemli sınav, gelecekte mesleğini belirleyecek olan üniversiteye giriş sınavlarıdır. Bu nitel çalışmada yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu geliştirilmiş, toplam 30 onikinci sınıf meslek lisesi öğrencisi gönüllü olarak bu çalışmaya katılmıştır. Görüşmelerde elde edilen verilerin analizi sonucunda 1 tema ortaya çıkmıştır: Öğretmen etkisi. Dört kategori Üniversiteye giriş sınavı, İlköğretim, Psikolojik danışmanlık ve rehberlik birimi ve İstekler olarak isimlendirilmiştir. Metaforlar ve zaman yönetimi ilk kategoriyi oluşturan kodlardır. İlköğretim kategorisinde Temel bilgilerin olmaması kodu belirlenmiştir. Üçüncü kategori Psikolojik Danışma ve Rehberlik Birimi (pdr) kategorisinde üç kod belirlenmiştir: Bireysel psikolojik destek olmayışı, Ailelerin yüksek beklentisi ve öğretmenlerin düşük beklentisi ortaya çıkan kodlardır. Dördüncü kategori İstekler olarak isimlendirilmiş ve Süreçte bilinçlendirme ve Genç öğretmenlerin olması isteklerinin olduğu kodlar ortaya çıkmıştır. PDR servisinden çok farklı beklentilerin olduğu bu çalışmanın bulguları arasındadır. Ailelerin gerçekçi bir değerlendirme yetisi geliştirmelerine yardımcı olmak, öğretmen ve öğrenciler arasında açık bir iletişim tarzı sağlamak ve 9. Sınıftan başlayarak mesleki rehberlik hizmeti sunulması beklentiler arasındadır.
