Abstract:In this paper we study the global existence of strong solutions to the 2D and 3D nonhomogeneous incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations in a bounded domain. Our proofs are based on the combination of the regularity criterion and an abstract bootstrap argument, which provides a new way to establish the global well-posedness of strong solutions.

Abstract:In this paper we establish the uniform estimates of strong solutions with respect to the Mach number and the dielectric constant to the full compressible Navier-Stokes-Maxwellsystem in a bounded domain. Based on these uniform estimates, we obtainthe convergence of the full compressible Navier-Stokes-Maxwell system to the incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations for well-prepared data.
Global classical solution for three-dimensional compressible isentropic magneto-micropolar fluid equations with Coulomb force and slip boundary condition in bounded domains

Abstract:We study an initial-boundary value problem of three-dimensional (3D) compressible isentropic magneto-micropolar fluid equations with Coulomb force and slip boundary conditions in a bounded simply connected domain, whose boundary has a finite number of two-dimensional connected components. We derive the global existence and uniqueness of classical solutions provided that the initial total energy is suitably small. Our result generalizes the Cauchy problems of compressible Navier-Stokes equations with Coulomb force (J. Differential Equations 269: 8468--8508, 2020) and compressible MHD equations (SIAM J. Math. Anal. 45: 1356--1387, 2013) to the case of bounded domains although tackling many surface integrals caused by the slip boundary condition are complex. The main ingredient of this paper is to overcome the strong nonlinearity caused by Coulomb force, magnetic field, and rotation effect of micro-particles by applying piecewise-estimate method and delicate analysis based on the effective viscous fluxes involving velocity and micro-rotational velocity.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the 3D compressible non-isentropic MHD equations with zero resistivity in a bounded domain. We first establish a regularity criterion for the strong solutions, and then, we combine it with an abstract bootstrap argument to prove the global well-posedness of the system under some assumptions on the viscosity coefficients and the initial data. Our results do not need the positivity of initial density, and thus, it may vanish in an open subset of the domain.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider 3D compressible magneto-micropolar fluids without resistivity and spin viscosity in a strip domain. The prominent character of the governing model is the presence of the microstructure, a linear coupling structure involving derivatives of the velocity fields, which along with the lack of spin viscosity brings several challenges to the analysis. By exploiting the two-tier energy method developed in Guo and Tice (Arch Ration Mech Anal, 2013), we prove the global existence of classical solutions to the governing model around a uniform magnetic field that is non-parallel to the horizontal boundary. Moreover, we show that the solution converges to the steady state at an almost exponential rate as time goes to infinity. One of the main ingredients in our analysis, compared with previous works on micropolar fluids, is that we deal with the microstructure by establishing some delicate estimates based on the analysis of the div-curl decomposition, and the coupling between the fluid velocity and the vorticity of angular velocity.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a two-dimensional non-resistivity MHD system describing the evolution of viscous compressible and electrically conducting fluids under the action of a vertical magnetic field, with non-monotone pressure law and density-depending viscosity λ=λ(ρ). Using an approximate scheme and the compactness method which Bresch and Jabin proposed in (Bresch and Jabin, 2018 [3]), we prove the global existence of weak solutions. This improves Li and Sun's work (Li and Sun, 2019 [32]) to more general pressure law and viscosity.

Abstract:This paper establishes the global well‐posedness of strong solutions for the 3D compressible magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) with non‐flat doping profile and Coulomb force, which is of hyperbolic–parabolic–elliptic mixed type. It is essentially shown that for the initial value problem with initial density allowed to contain vacuum states, the strong solution exists globally under small energy but possible large oscillations.

Abstract:In this article, we consider the global existence and uniqueness of the solution to the 2D incompressible non-resistive MHD system with non-equilibrium background magnetic field. Our result implies that a strong enough non-equilibrium background magnetic field will guarantee the stability of the nonlinear MHD system. Beside the classical energy method, the interpolation inequalities and the algebraic structure of the equations coming from the incompressibility of the fluid are crucial in our arguments.

Applying Desjardins' interpolation inequality and delicate energy estimates, we show the global-in-time existence of a unique strong solution when is properly small. Moreover, we prove that the velocity, the micro-rotational velocity, and the magnetic field converge exponentially to zero in as time goes to infinity.

Abstract:This paper concerns the global regularity of strong solutions to the Cauchy problem of inhomogeneous incompressible Navier–Stokes fluids with vacuum, zero heat conduction, and density–temperature‐dependent viscosity. The existence of global‐in‐time strong solutions is proved when the initial energy is suitably small or the lower bound of the viscosity coefficient is large enough. Moreover, some exponential decay‐in‐time rates of strong solutions are obtained via time‐weighted a priori estimates.

Abstract:This paper focuses on establishing the existence of smooth solutions for the incompressible Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert equation with Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) interaction and V flow in two‐dimensional domains, including the torus and Euclidean space. The primary objective is to establish global existence results by investigating the conditions under which a smooth solution exists for all time, provided that the L2 norm of the initial magnetization gradient is sufficiently small. Rigorous mathematical proofs for these global existence results are provided by combining analytical techniques and energy estimates. These findings enhance our understanding of solution behavior and regularity in the Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert equation with DM interaction, shedding light on its dynamics in different spatial domains.

Abstract:The motion of viscous incompressible magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) is considered in a domain that is bounded by a free surface. The motion interacts through the free surface with an electromagnetic field located in a domain exterior to the free surface and bounded by a given fixed surface. Some electromagnetic fields are prescribed on this fixed boundary. On the free surface, jumps in the magnetic and electric fields are assumed. The global existence of solutions to this problem assuming appropriate smallness conditions on the initial and boundary data is proved.

Abstract:We are concerned with the Cauchy problem to the three-dimensional full compressible Navier–Stokes equations with zero heat conductivity. Under the condition that the initial energy is small enough, global existence of strong solutions is established. Especially, the initial density is allowed to have large oscillations. The key to estimate the pointwise lower and upper bounds of the density lies in the handling of the energy conservation equation and the boundedness of the –norm of the gradient of the pressure.
