A New Comment on Benevolence

Abstract:Benevolence is the most familiar moral concept for Chinese people.As a traditional Chinese vir?tue which should be inherited and carried forward, it must be endowed the new content of the times. Confucian benevolence focuses on the kinship care and undoubtedly it played a role in the family virtue of"kindness filial piety". Benevolence in the 21st century reveals the universal concern with equality, which includes not only lov?ing yourself and others, but also loving all things. This is the inevitable conclusion by examining the situation of the world in the 21st century. Anyway, loving others and all things are what we need to make efforts to weave a blueprint for the benevolence.
