Abstract:“Beautiful China”is Chinese people’s self-conscious cultural cognition and life ideal. To build“Beautiful China” is the political, economic, legal and cultural goal of the country. It must be seen that building of beautiful China is not only an environmental issue but also an issue of legal practice of civil society and a citizen’s liberal education. Aesthetic creation of life, art and thought marks the direction of the building of beautiful China. It is noteworthy that based on the willingness of building a beautiful country, literary aesthetics should provide necessary theoretical support for world peace and common development goals.

Abstract:Chinese feudal history was characterized and in part sustained by the collaboration between the class-consciousness of cultural tradition and the social hierarchy in reality,which colluded to suppress the demand for equality.However,equality as the desire of the people never stopped the quest for means of realizing itself.In Chinese feudal history,equality was at best a psychological equilibrium achieved through the balance between being oppressed before achieving power and the oppression of others when in power.Central to such equilibrium was a pattern of revenge.

Abstract:In recent years,the idea of equality in Confucianism is always thought to be negative for economic development.However,from Confucius' words that Inequality rather than want is the cause of trouble, we can find out what this equality really is.It does not mean absolute equality in sharing,but relative equality.In this paper,we review the recent studies relevant to the income distribution and economic growth in modern Western economics,which come out to support the Idea of Equality.Therefore,we should rethink and give an objective comment,only through which can we point out its theoretical and practical significance in the construction of Harmonious Society.

Abstract:Equality does not mean sameness and equilibration, and envy is not an origin of the idea and the claim of equality. Equality, as a standard and measure, can not be universally valid as a general and independent claim. We could not make a universal claim of complete natural sameness between persons, nor of complete equilibration of social goods between persons. Equality is always a criterion of comparison and measure concerning some claim for some things, therefore it could not be absolutely free-standing as an independent value. Equality, as a value and a demand, is dependent on some other free-standing elements of the basic structure of a just society, i.e., liberty and rights.

Abstract:As the basic value tropism and principle for construction of ideal society, the equality ideology has a long standing in human history. From the earliest Pythagoras' equality demanded for justice, to the natural equality formed in the ancient Greek, equality of law right in the ancient Rome, life equality before the God in Medieval, human equality in Renaissance, being born equally claimed by School of Natural Law, everyone's equality before the law established by modern bourgeois revolution, dilemma of equality and freedom in practice of modern Western countries' politics and economics, as well as of new liberalism and old liberalism, liberalism and conservatism, the development of equality ideology in the West concentrates the development of the Western political practice and theory. In China, equality ideology is also the ideal of many thinkers and leaders of peasant uprising and peasant war from of old. But it is very monotony and unsystematic relative to the numerous and complicated Western equality ideology. Furthermore, the Western equality ideology is always related with values such as justice, freedom and law, while equality ideology in Chinese history is only limited to halve the material of the rich and the poor, as weakens its revolution in the end.

Abstract:The purpose of the paper is to give some advices to land management in China by reviewing the 100 years history of the development of "equalization of land ownership" thought.Methods of documentation and comparison were employed.The 100 years history shows that the "equalization of land ownership" thought has been well developed not only in China before liberation,but also in Taiwan and Mainland China.Besides,it is becoming more and more important.The following points should be emphasized on land management:(a) to establish a more definite guidance for land management;(b) to develop and improve the "equalization of land ownership" thought,including defining the public land right,reforming the land price system and taxation policy and so on.

Abstract:By integrating time,space and context and taking into account the unique settings of China,this paper attempts to formulate a multilevel and multidimensional conceptual framework of gender inequality,and uses it to explore systematically the intertwined cultural,social and institutional factors,both tangible and intangible,that might be related to gender inequality in China.While the life course is of private issue,its trajectory is to a large extent shaped by events in public arenas,and intersects with time and social context.Meanwhile,by highlighting the interaction among events,individuals,groups and policies as well as the linkage between private and public arenas,this paper provides further reflections on the barriers for the improvement of gender equality over the past 60 years in China(particularly since 1978) in order to provide theoretical support for relevant government agencies to formulate,co-ordinate,and implement more efficient policies to enhance gender equality.

Abstract:On the one hand,every human being is equal to each other for his/her basic contributions,because every human being is the shareholder who will contribute to society,so he/she should be entitled to basic rights,which can be named principle of full equality.On the other hand,every human being enjoys unequal non-basic rights for his/her unequal contributions to society,which can be name principle of partial equality.So we draw the conclusion that opportunities provided by society for one to develop his/her talent,make contributions,and compete for particular positions or fortunes,are the basic rights of all human beings.On the contrary,non-social opportunities like families,talents and fortunes are just personal rights of the blessed ones which can not be interfered by others.However,the blessed ones utilize more chances to create for themselves more rights by using more shared resources of social cooperation,so they should compensate the ones of fewer opportunities with relative rights.

Abstract:The realm of equality between men and women is the reflection of historical advancement which involves politics,economy,law,sociology,culture,ethics,etc,and provides us the possibility for analyzing the comprehensive connotation of equality between men and women.This analysis is also necessary for the adoption of national policy of equality between men and women and setting up the period and long-term goals of women liberation movement.Meanwhile,attention must be paid to the following points: 1) the connotation of equality between men and women should not be understood in a static way,2)the equality should not understood as the mechanical and absolute equality,3)the understanding of equality should be on the basis of ensuring the basic rights of men and women, and 4) the understanding of equality should not ignore the differences between men and women in sex,physiology and psychology.In addition,sexual discrimination must be avoided.

Abstract:Abstract Facing the new era, we should re-examine and understand the theory of “the pattern of unity in diversity of the Chinese nation” put forward by Fei Hsiao-tung from the historical and cultural perspectives, which will bring us many new insights. The Chinese national consciousness of unity can be understood as “ Ge ” (格), while “ Ju (局) as “layout” and “distribution”, which means in the same spatial scope and form of “ Ge ”, how the units within the Chinese nation are laid out and distributed. Under such “ Ge ” and “ Ju ” viewpoints, people and goods, nature and society, culture and technology, China and the world, can be connected and integrated so that a reciprocal community with “being together” could possibly come true at last, and cultural self-consciousness, consciousness of the others’ cultures and mutual cultural consciousness are inevitable. On this basis, it is meaningful to discuss the ultimate goal and state of construction of a community with a shared future for mankind and the world of “Great Harmony”.
