Abstract:From the birth of the high elastic eucommia ulmoides gum (EU gum) and the discovery of the structure , from the three stages of vulcanizing process and the discovery of the three kinds of different materials,which correspond to the three stages,and from the building of the EU gum systematic material engineering and the development of the concept on Unitary Material-Spectrum composed of rubbers and plastics', the paper demonstrates the extensive application and the progressive prospects of the EU gum.In the meantime,the author puts forward a new idea of the mixture of the EU gum、NR、BR.
